Thanks for the review. I'm an avid smoker and outdoors type, also, and hadn't heard of this product before, despite being a big fan of Snow Peak gear. How'd the salmon taste? That's crazy that it used so little fuel! Seems very efficient

Hey Corey-the salmon turned our really well and I have used the same recipe again (recipe attached above). It is very efficient and the two drawbacks I see are limited capacity-so think Japanese when using and consider the smoked items appetizers or components in a larger dish and when I did chicken legs/thighs I used tin foil but still had grease in the bottom to clean out.

For sure they are and all of it is so well designed. This is a fun little tube if you want to really shake up the camp cooking!

A buddy of mine has the Pit Barrel and loves it. I think these two are designed for different uses though, the Snow Peak is small and portable to be easily taken along to a camp site. I agree with you 100% that if I was looking for a home smoker this would not be it.
