It's a bit of a joke how games are often being released incomplete nowadays and rely on DLC and updates years down the line to fix the issues and they get away with it...

Gonna drop my comment before I start the video No Finished the video and my answer hasn't changed, but I really liked your honesty about this review. Most Starfield fans refuse to acknowledge any issues this game has and continually praise BGS, you give them credit where it's due but still mention that it should've been in the game from the start. I especially agree with your take about the higher difficulty, giving the enemies more health doesn't make them for challenging, just more tedious

Nailed it with this honest review. Only thing I can't see, is this game improving at the same level as Cyberpunk, but who knows. 6:59 does sound very interesting!

As a Series X player, the update did make me play again and honestly I’m loving it

I think adding more and varied locations on planets would nake me go back. Or more little things to make cities feel alive or connected like cities changing a tiny bit from big faction quests. Thatd make me play more.

I am actually playing Starfield now and its pretty awesome.

Still haven’t played it. I’ve put it in my cart a couple of times. But can’t seem to pull the trigger. MAYBE one day after all the updates and kinks are worked out I’ll do it.

It wouldnt be easy or quick, but if they fleshed out the planets and added may more unique and randomly generated POIs it would probably get people coming back to play.

These improvements does in fact improve the game. Especially the carry capacity, and the ammo having weight makes the ammunition storage in your outpost meaningful.

Still some weird bugs. I still can’t get into ship modifications from my landing pad, you can’t take one of an item from storage, you have to take all of the same item and you have to revisit every POI to get fast travel and I don’t have access to any empty ship habs.

I started playing on release on my series X back in October. I put 101 hours then stopped. Since then I’ve gotten rid of my series X, now I have an incredible pc rig with a 4070 and I just reinstalled starfield… and i have to say. I’m BLOWN AWAY, it runs absolutely incredible. Way different from how I last played it eight months ago

Am I the only one who doesn’t care about 60fps and loading screens (there such a none issue to me) , the surface maps is such a good update and the gameplay settings make for a more customisable experience, then there’s a space rover incoming which will be a game changer for me as I love vehicles and space combat is my main thing I love about the game

Good review. Although I find it strange that a game where you fly through space explore areas, complete missions. Take part in fetch quests, gun play, customisation will be transformed with a drivable vehicle. Maybe I need to play it to understand. If all that other stuff is done so badly that the game isn't worth playing how does a drivable vehicle change anything?

I didnt start playing until a few days ago I am absolutely floored HOW MANY of the features i considered "awesome and fantastic editions to a classic bethesda experience" we added like 2 days before i started. I fucking love the difficulty changers with all the exp ups and downs The map is key, i had no idea they released the game without a map (I assume it was so you couldnt see just how fucking had the tiling was on their genuinely horrible procedural generation) But yeah basically everything i like about the game was added right before i started playing (i like a lot, but things i specifically said "oh this is nice!" to) Insane that they released the game without maps, or the ability to build inside your ship. Insane

Give us gambling games, mounts/vehicles, a working pool table/dartboard, and diving or underwater exploration

In my own testing, with the FPS set to uncapped and the visual still set to quality the Xbox still cranks, right up there with my pc

when starfield got released i tried it, rather than completing main story, after doing couple of main missions, built a 14 outposts system to farm vytinium fuel rods, got the character to lvl 190, had millions of vytinium fuel rods to sell(its the most expensive item in the game then-130 or something), didn't use any console commands(i thought it would ruin the experience), had a good idea about rules in the game, built 2 ships(one for combat, one for cargo). then came back to play main+side missions but it didn't delivered the way i thought(there were so much of things that needed to fixed), so stopped playing, now finding a reason to get back and complete the campaign. i think u said the all things i needed to know.

The maps issue was always overblown imo. The performance boost and new settings are great though. Playing on Extreme for enemy and Very hard for player damage seems like the best balance for me.

Adding in an actually useful world map and the ability to turn off the snap on dialogue camera were all you needed to spawn in 10x more Starfield apologists and asskissers apparently

They was nice enough to release it before they were actually finished with it.... but even then it was already a masterpiece "since day 1".. These updates are polishing finishers , it's only gonna get better

The game play updates and the 60 fps really add a lot to the game. Starfield isn't a perfect game, but its a very solid game with many different things to do and ways to play. Be a pirate and board and take over ships, create outposts, build ships, or be a bounty hunter, or wonder through space as a starborn. Main story is solid, some of the faction quests like the UC marine and sysdef/crimson fleet are great. Along with fun side quests like Groundpounder. I've had a lot of fun playing it in my 300 hrs. Is it Elden Ring or the Witcher 3? No. But its an 8.5/10 after the updates.

Does warping completely remove your ship customizations every time you warp? Was being talked about in another video. So if you are into warping be aware. I may have been half asleep and not hearing it right tho.

Am i the only person who saw no difference in the fps side by side? I play on pc and on Xbox and have never had a framerate issue while playing

Haven't played it yet but I've certainly heard the criticisms upon it's release. I was certainly hyped for this game when it was announce and revealed with that dope 20min gameplay reveal. But, like Anthem, it turned out to be a disappointment, too. The fact that apparently there is No interplanetary travel on a gen 9 console game is ridiculous. Haven: Call of the King had interplanetary travel, and that was on PS2.

It's a first step in the right direction. There's A LOT of steps though. You all bitching too much.

Not having 60 FPS was the only reason I never played the game, but now that they added it in series X I will def give the game a try. I still dont understand how we are in 2024 and developers think it’s ok to release a game with 30 fps.

Too bad they still can't provide us quality of life features like Starship blueprints that we can save, or introduce a bit of variation in character heights. It seems to be a uniform universe where gravity has affected people to the point where they're all the same height 🤣

The game is worth playing, because its not a bad game in and of itself, it's just brutally disappointing when you consider it had the same budget and same development time as Red Dead Redemption 2.

Was 8/10 at launch imo,I'm 800+ hrs in & planning on going back...but I expected what we got, Skyrim in space idk what U expected

The only reason I'm trying it is because I bought a rog Ally and it came with game pass for free so I figured why not. After about 6 hours I don't know how much more I can take it's just the same and it feels so lifeless whether that's intentional or not. I hate the term cozy game, but I can't see how someone would sit back and just relax with the whatever goes on in this game.

I will buy this game once you be able to travel to and through space without loadings.

I came here to find out if this game would still be a waste of money, and my takeaway was that I should just play Cyberpunk 2077, again, for the third time.

Im on Xbox... in fact i bought my Xbox just to play this one game Starfield! Im a PS5 gamer normally! I put it down months ago & haven't powered up my xbox since! It was quite literally just collecting dust! Lol So this update definitely was a game changer to me bc of the mod support & the terrain maps & other QoL changes were a awesome bonus! There are new mods added to creation club every single day & i friggin love it! I have been getting that bug when I download new mods or change the load order the games sound keeps cutting out so i have to go in CC & disable all the mods then load the game without mods then quit the game & then re-enable all the mods then load the save again but its not that big of a deal as I know bugs are common with mods in games. I do however have a theory about this bug...you can disable the background music when you open CC so next time I download new mods we shall see if the sound bugs out again. So yeah this update, to me anyway, is AMAZEBALZZ!! I love it, its great!! A pc player may not ferl that way bc youve had mods since launch... I get it but not everyone has a million $$ to buy a gaming pc!! On a completely different topic...on PS5 you can connect & use a M & K. Idk if youre able to do that on Xbox. Ive only used a keyboard on PS5 for typing messages or doing searches for stuff for example in warframe theres alot of typing! It makes everything so easy

I'm good. I turned it on after the update. I turned it right off when the first load screen took too long. The only positive I have from Starfield. Is that it introduced me to Fallout 4.

60 fps runs pretty damn good on console.

Pulled an Xbox one from my eBay store to play this at release , was very disappointed. Sold it off, checking back to see if they fixed it and released it on ps5 yet. Nope… just play cyberpunk, it’s actually very good now 👍 dialogue options aren’t as huge, but the story is way better and it super immersive. Thank me later

This game need more realism, the open world is empty and it doesnt look alive, but i know it will be the same as cyberpunk 2077, just wait for the finished game

I was shocked at how disappointed I was playing this on release. It does a lot of things but nothing about it was fun, and a lot were outright annoying. The map thing is huge but it's already a slap in the face that it wasn't there at launch and finally getting cut content (the map) in an "update" doesn't count as an actual update. none of these changes are that big and the vehicle update won't matter. I just think the game isn't fun

With console mods, i am now enjoying the shit out of this game.

Microsoft must put another of their teams to work onto starfield vehicles at the same time bethesda does, but separately. Then proof bethesda workers being incompetent by doing vehicles in half time and work much better. Then fire entire bethesda team.

I’m over it. I won’t update the game on my Xbox. I won’t even turn on my Xbox again. Starfield annoyed me that much so that I turned it off in early October and is has been off since then.

I'm going to play other games and wait until the DLC drops.

Got starfield for free through game voucher, (the other games I could choose where not in genre I liked) and gave it a try, it was alright, story was meh gameplay was not the best but not the worst either, ship an base building was something I liked, and the npc are stupid as shit, 5/10 the game is fine, but it has a lot of potential that it wil likely won't reach

Stopped playing this game ages ago, and I was hoping they fixed it at bit...but nope, It's still so bad. The fps, the load screens, AI, the map, the nps were all horrible but was bearable for me. It was the mechanics and gameplay that made me quit. The game basically forces you to play only one way (with guns) or you don't get the full benefit of the game. Sneak is literally broken, melee weapons have no mods, unarmed is absolutely shit with no weapons...thus no dmg or mods. And all 3 have minimal support from the skill trees. Base building also seemed pointless apart from gathering materials for other bases...but what for? Only thing I found fun was being a space pirate, building ships and boarding other ships to steal them, but that doesn't do much for the story progression...

I bought it day one and stop playing after just a few hours. After the new update I picked it up again and played through the main quest. I found it extremely short and not very engaging. Super easy. I finished and thought to myself....is that it? The rest of the game seems so empty and everything left to do is boring and pretty much the same no matter what planet you go to it's the same....with all that room why the hell isn't there more to find? Not enough hand crafted material and not enough to do in this game. It's short and boring. I hate the space combat. It feels like your ship is standing still and everything else around you is moving. It's not fun.

Absolutely worth playing. It sucks ita a work in progress...aka cyberpunk was ccalled cyberjunk and now is the game for band wagon jumpers. Own cyberpunk and phantom liberty both since release. Cyberpunk is great but it isnt the witcher series. Starfield is ok but it will never be elder scrolls. Thats my fifth amendment yeh its getting better since i tried at launch

While the new fps makes the game greater than it was before I can’t justify it because that should have been done before the game launched. In this day and age to release such a “ambitious game” at a very poor 30 FPS is just pathetic and nothing more than them being lazy.

The game starts bad Story is bland World looks dated But give it time It truely is one of those zoning bethesda games. 40 fps visual mode is the way to go on series x. It's worth it.
