you make video's about interviewing people and studio tours, why do you not make with your self, touring your own studio and let some other youtuber interview you. like glenn or some other one
I think it sounds really neat. I guess the first few days you watch the moving rotaries, just like child with a new rc toy, but then you realize the sound and possibilities which come with such a concept. Also, a really good video.
I've never audibly said "Holy fucking shit" at a video while watching alone in my room... ...Until you dimed the lows on this thing. IT SOUNDS SO GOOD!
Have had a Creme RC on my mixbus for several months now. The Low and High 'shelfs' are indeed subtle as someone has already mentioned. The HF one is incredibly subtle, and you sure need to have high frequnecies in the source material for it to do it's thing (obviously, it's not an enhancer!). I find the LF boost much more useful and it's a great effect. Thanks for confirming in your review that when the EQ/Compressor button is lit, the compressor comes first - the manual does not clarify the status of that button at all which is irritating!
@M Castile Great to have that comment from you re the HF! I was wondering that too. I actually sent my Creme RC to Tegeler in Berlin to have it checked - they found no fault with it. I also corresponded with the authors of the Sound On Sound reviews (Bob Thomas and Matt Houghton) and Bob has the unit across his mix bus as well. To leave it there shaows he finds it useful! He made the point that if you have the compressor AFTER the EQ then the HF boost may be even harder to discern. In some on-line reviews (not yours!) I think people are hearing things entirely due to expectation bias, and often pristine monitoring envoronments are required to discern stuff. All best!
For those that don't have Ethernet infrastructure (can't imagine who that would be..), you can always use a wireless bridge, which will adapt Ethernet to a wireless network.
Hey everyone! I just purchased a Tegeler VTC compressor from germany and it just came in today. I have a few questions that are urgent so I can use it! First, It came with a euro power cord. Can I simply switch this out for an amaerican power cord? It also came over with different fuses by default. Which fuse should I buy so it work? I've already switched the voltage to 115v, but I am afraid to try and power it on without the first two questions answered. Can someone PLEASE HELP!!!
So now the question is, does the plugin have a Dual Mono mode button (like the new Schwerkraftmaschine one ) ? This also being a stereo unit still has two sides with identical sets of processing hardware. Both are probably driven by the MCU-DAC-VCA/Pot so one could (maybe) splitt the controls and send different amounts to the left and right side which would enable one to use it as a Mid side mastering unit with an external M/S matrix like the Konnektor .
I know this a different topic then the video . What do you suggest for sound treatment in a room what to use . This will be very helpful because I trust your opinion over many videos out there . The room I will be having soon , 12 feet × 14 feet × 8 feet ceiling . Thx very much your opinion is greatly appreciated.
It sounds really good, but it's almost too gentle for my taste at least. I would probably prefer a pultec over this and a bus compressor after or before in the chain to get same result or something similar, and still have the chance to go more aggro on other things than just the mixbus. :)
Can i have more that 1 plugin of Tegeler on my session? if yes. How can the hardware control 3 or 4 plugins at the same whit different automations? thanks *
There's going to be good money to be made for anyone that can offer motorized knobs as a mod for every existing piece of analog gear in existence lol. I know I would seriously consider sending off my units if the price is reasonable.
What do you think about the longevity of a product like this? I recently had a bunch of plugins go EOL when I upgraded my computer, it's tough to imagine development for the VST side continuing past 5 years or so...
When you compare this to the cost of a Pultec and the SSL bus compressor it's a no brainer, it sounds at least as good but costs so much less and it a well built unit. I really want one of these and the Schwerkraftmaschine that can replace most compressors you own in one box, and has the motorized pots as well. I'd love to see you review the Schwerkraftmaschine, I think you would want to keep that one two but it's a little more money.
don't care about that compressor, just here for the sample tunes, that bass line is so sweet.... could it be possible to make the knobs dance in rythme over some tunes ? that would be so satisfying...
Great minds think alike. Right at 00:00:24 I started busting out laughing at how it practically resembles the same thing I did in my last video. Anyways, I love the channel. Keep on pushing.
I know someone who has the original Tegeler Creme and absolutely loved it until about 6 months in it broke, like something inside quit working. I have no idea how unusual this is.
i want one ... but the price is heavy. Its on my wishlist beside SPL VItalizer and warm audio bus Comp. That 3 would be my Master chain on the analog Mixing of my tracks. But it will take time to get money for it.
In the future everyone can access analog gear w/o a need to buy stuff. You just need to rent a timeframe for RC analog gear and you run a VST which controls the hardware. I would like to see a open network for this purpose. Imagine using analog synths remotely via ethernet
He says he usually does EQ>COMP. the eq will change the way the comp responds (especially with changes to low end). use comp to eq if you want to eq without changing the comps response.
what about eq comp eq? first shape the sound with a pre eq in order to trigger the compressor the way you want it to be triggered then use the post eq to taste. best of both worlds.
@@gusdee4844 in order for you to make that argument I should have said "this is the right way" instead I said, what about trying an EQ-Comp-EQ order? It's just a suggestion. so yeah, you're right, it's an old cliche. whoever uses that has the risk of becoming a vegan too. watch out for that.
Im considering this piece. However I hear mixed opinions,I heard people say they got exactly the same results with Pro Q and a compressor plugin. That creme is quite hyped. Also the positive reviews on RU-vid look very similar in ‘one for give-away’ structure or something. So I’m lost whether it actually is this good or that it all is a bit hyped. Any experiences from users? Also, how does crème compare to eqp-1? That seems very good as well, but my first solution I look for would be for mixbus. Thanks!
Use your own ears in stead of listening to a bunch of people. You can hear it in action in this video. Sounds good to me, but make up your own opinion?
That’s only something someone without any hardware would write .. I LOVE the Cream and I don’t have a SINGLE Software Compressor of this quality. Not even FabFilter.. but it IS a great one. And also the PA Shadowhills Class A (wich is the „Most“ hardware like soft comp I know) and the Townhouse. UA in many cases have this cheap“ish“ highend.. maybe because of the lack of oversampling or smthng..
@@guidosc3470 analog gear creates artifacts which are pleasure for human ear. the moment you can identify and mix these artifacts, you will get an identical result with digital. and still is better to buy hardware than chase money through the throat :)
White Sea Studio its few months ago when i was watching your video, 2 days ago i found your channel again, and your production level are amazing stept up.
@@Whiteseastudio I personally like that you sound "real" and not like a politician, TV presenter etc... Use the money you save from not buying an autocue and and buy another couple of kilos of your favorite coffee ;-) Thanks for all you do. Peace. Cheers.
@@simontassano5992 yes, i say you can better learn out of your head, because you need to learn a autocue how to read of it. that cost lot of time. he can better take a day off, en in the morning learning the text or better make no text, and then talking, but so mutch that one take sound good
14 days is total bullshit....after you pay for shipping and all customs and broker fees you’re pretty much have to buy it or you’re out of few hundred bucks.
Why do you copy Jon Sine so hard. You do the same light in a box joke just way worse and all other info is word for word of his video. I like you channel but pls stop copying makes your video feel cheap!
