This Toyota MR-S is the perfect lightweight track and canyon car! With it weighing only 2200 lbs it is probably the lightest car I’ve ever filmed. If this video does well, we will get a touge run in it to see how it performs in the canyons 🔥 Check out the video description for important links to products, modifications and channel resources! Thanks again for having me man, it was fun! ~2160lbs of lightweight thrills 😎 I def gotta give you the Touge or Track experience with it next time. Grateful to have had the opportunity to share this platform on your channel! 🙏
This car is for people that like the mid engine car feel. I drove probably 10 or 12 Miatas over my lifetime. The Miata is a great little car. I drove my 2001 MR2 once, and was sold. I bought it the same day.
Finally after almost twenty years. These cars for a long time were hated, and dismissed as hair dresser cars. I’m glad one up super cheap, two years ago.
Dope car! But putting Bride seats in the passenger was probably a mistake if you want to drive your mom or s/o around. Or even a larger buddy. That being said, I have an 05 and live in South Bay if you want to go for a drive.
Really nice car build but dude is such an elitist about his MR2. 😂🤡 1: Dude owns an MR2.. NOT an MR-S! As an owner of both an imported MR-S(JDM) and MR2(USDM), there are differences which makes these cars worth way more or worth way less. The MR-S is unique to have here in North America and there are people, like this guy, who lie about their car being an MR-S just for the clout. A real MR-S can easily be worth twice the money of a normal MR2. Just like an imported Supra is worth more than a non-imported. Also, MR-S ONLY came in RHD, not LHD. Not to mention his cluster is in MPH, not KM/H. This thing is as American as the oil in the middle east 😂😂 2: Just because you have a JDM badge on your car, doesn't make it JDM. A Toyota badge doesn't make your BMW "basically a Supra". 3: His exhaust is not special. It's also NOT the last one ever made. You can literally find WS1, WS2, and WS3 A'PEXi mufflers brand new online till this day. Hell, A'PEXi sells WS series on their very own website. (Side Note) Why correct yourself saying "Brid" for your seats but then mess up when saying "A'PEXi".😂 If you think I'm buggin' or just being a hater, keep in mind that these cars have been my pride and joy since they first came out. There have been countless of people who always try to up-sell their cars for more than what they are and that's what makes the car culture toxic today. Lying to be/have something you're not/don't have is such a clown move. Just be proud of what you have and if you can't be, build something that does make you proud.
1. It's called MR2 Spyder in US, MR2 Roadster in UK, MR-S in Japan. You're not wrong, MR-S is what they call theirs in Japan. But if it makes you feel better, yes my car is an MR2 Spyder. I do have an actual JDM 1ZZ that I purchased at JDMWestCoast in my car that was swapped when my old 1ZZ blew. I also have a 6 speed C60 trans in the car now as well. In today's market, the MR-S will not be worth 2x the MR2 Spyder if it appeared on TopRankImports (JDM dealership in Cypress, CA) in identical condition. All around the world they ALL share the same chassis title of ZZW30. It’s not a whole different car in Japan. Not like a U.S. civic being EK4 vs japan’s EK9. 2. True. Though the VIN tag on my chassis actually says "Made in Japan". Whatever on that part though. Never even said my car is JDM. 3. It's the last one ever SOLD**, I did make an error there. I was personally at the APEX'i warehouse and bought it directly from my buddy TK who works there + manages @apexiusa 's account and he was the one that stated that.
