Yea with a different pitch propeller it should make a world of difference the boats hull can definitely handle more speed👍 Then after that upgrade maybe a larger motor & a nice set of K-planes. Always good to see a RC product holding its own for reliability. Can't have too much fun without that right👍👍 🇺🇸

That was my 1st RC boat. Haven't seen a video in a while but I was sure it was gonna go faster. It's all good. I had one to. I tried to upgrade it with the VXL system but it wouldn't work right, kept spinning out I guess on water.

Hey Joe, It's definitely not the fastest, but I've had this boat for so long with no issues. I've had faster boats, but it seems like one issue after another. Hi, The Blast is not super fast. The best thing about this boat is that I have had it for years with zero issues. It is the only boat I've had for a long time that didn't give me problems. By far the most durable boat I've ever had. I believe it was around 15. I hear you Garden! Definitely both nice boats. I personally would lean toward the Blast because I know I have a good chance of finding parts at my local hobby shop when I inevitably crash it 😜 I've had the Blast for a long time with no issues. If I ever get the other one I will definitely do a comparison video. Make sure to let us know what boat you get. So it has reverse right? Does it use the regular Traxxas TQi Remote Control Transmitter? Like a traxxas rustler would use for example..

Hi Anthony, Sorry for the late response. Just seen this comment. This Blast does not have reverse. Yes, it comes with TQ 2.4 ghz controller. The Blast has been a great boat for a long time now. I just got one of these boats yesterday. Haven't taken it out for its' maiden run yet. My only question is, if it flips over can you get it to flip back?

Hey John, This boat does not have self righting. I always run down stream or down wind so if I flip it it where I can get it. I also always bring a fishing pole when running any boat just in case :) Also, I have tried & tried & just cannot flip the Blast 😃 I'm not saying it's impossible, just very hard. My son’s Blast keeps having issues with cavitation. Sent to Traxxas and resolved it. However, it’s happened again. Traxxas suggested changing the trim. Still nothing. Anyone else have this issue? What’s a resolve?

I have had a Blast for over 2 months now and my daughter and I love it. Wanted to ask you what kind of maintenance do you perform on your Blast and how often?? Other than that it's a great learners boat!

Awesome Zach! Great to hear your daughter & you are loving the Blast :) I don't follow a strict regimen. I oil the motor bushings, outdrive housing & drive shaft tube 2 or 3 times per year with 3 n1 oil. Note that it is recommended that you do this much more often, but I have had this boat for years without issue. Congrats on the sweet new rig my friend. Do you have any other RC? Yes I have the blast I got it for $150 wasn't bad I paid another $40 for adapter and another but I'm thinking about getting a trailer and another truck so that my wife can drive that for the boat

Hi, The Nautica esc is not designed for use with lipo . That being said, a lot of people will run 2s for very short runs. I have also seen lipo smoke the esc & even a motor. Does water get inside of yours? I'd imagine it's unavoidable but was just curious. Seeing how the electronics are water proof I'm not too worried about it but more concerned as if I'm not putting that cover on right hah.

Hey Zach, I tried, and still do, to flip this boat with everything it would do & still haven't managed to flip it. As far as waves go I wouldn't worry to much, unless you're in the ocean? When it's very windy, I always run with a bank downwind,. Just in case you lose control for any reason it will be blown into the bank. Also, I will normally have a fishing pole...Just in case :) I never got the other prop. Still plan to though, just gotta manufacture some time 😜 Did you get a Blast? A blast will never do 50, 60, or 70 mph. Way too unstable. Yes I've tried.

LOL pissywilly!! 😂 I understand...I used to live in Florida! A few things I always try to do is to do most of my boating upwind & up current. This gives me a better shot of having the boat drift back to me should anything go wrong. Also, I never boat without a fishing pole! I couldn't pass up the price at $45 with everything there. My other passion is fishing so I'll carry a spinning rod and some big lures just in case!
