Pre-nerf IS Walrein might've been the most annoying Pokemon of all time. Bulky, fast, and has great coverage. It was everywhere, but I do kinda miss it.
I have had a fair number of matches where I almost surrendered, decided to play it out and ended up winning. Don’t give up til it’s totally over. At least see the third. Too many ppl quit early just because they get countered on lead and swap
Trev Walrein still works I think. Grass types are great in this meta bc Lanturn is everywhere bc newly buffed things like Poliwrath, Talonflame, Skarmory are everywhere. Trev also has a leg up over other grass types in that it nets victories over super common steel mons like Registeel and Carbink. Will do great against more newly buffed things like Whiscash and Vigoroth as well.
I think Trev is good in this meta, but Walrein seems kind of like an inferior Alolan Sandslash. In most of the battles where Walrein looked good, ASlash would have been just as good or better. The only time Walrein is “better” is against Fire-types, but it still doesn’t really win that match-up; Trev+Ice is just a bad choice against Fire types. Otherwise, Drill Run is such a better move than Earthquake that I’d much rather be running ASlash in most situations, and definitely on this team.

Personally I don't like the modern names these trainers use. Maybe I lack the appropriate brain cells to actually comprehend them or maybe I'm too old (is 24 old??) for these young people. But you could just keep it something short, simple and original. Easy on the eyes, catchy and not some clumpy mess of alphabets and numbers which makes me feel like I'm solving a linguistic logical pattern problem and can never remember for the life of me.
I think he voiced that he'd rather not do that as it may cause too much clutter on the infograph?? Tho imo I do agree throwing the names up in a smaller text about the n8cks wouldn't be detrimental other than for times sake maybe? Also sorry if I misheard and am talking out my butt 😅
On similar note, I think k it's silly that Chinese people take an Englsih nickname because (I'm not too sure why, but) I suspect they feel their Chinese name is too hard for English speakers to pronounce. I guess I should use one too since everywhere I go in the world, they can't pronounce my name correctly 😂
It does, but I’d much rather use Alolan Sandslash. They mostly beat and lose to the same things, but A-Sandslash is way better against stuff like Lanturn, Lickitung, Carbink, Bastiodon, and Grass types.
