Is the Vevor 3-gallon still good for beginners?

That closely resembles my first still but mine came with a thumper. Fragile little things though. But a good start for anyone.

I just joined up today, I ordered the 5 gallon from Vevor for 87.99 shipped. Should be here next week.

I have the 10 gallon. Great little producer, but the condenser had to go after the first run. Used your video on making one in a five gallon bucket. Works so much better.

I like that it doesn't have the flex pipe. That was the only problem I had with my Vevor. 3 gallon is just right for fermenting in a five gallon bucket. 👍

The version I just got had a permanent gasket in the lid rim which I believe to be better as far as sealing is concerned. The u-channel lid rim is also better structurally. Also, it had an actual flare compression fitting for the worm, which does not leak and doesn't need Teflon tape (so far). I tightened it with a wrench the first time to seat it well, not too tight, just firm enough to mate it with the flare. They seem to have changed it as problems became evident and made improvements. Like any compression fitting, make sure the pipe and flare are mated before you thread the nut down. For these differences, I ended paying fifteen bucks more for it. The boiler is thin, so it is 'dial a speed' on the heat. Heats up and cools down very quickly. All in all, I am very pleased with the little still. Perfect for a guy like me who only wants to piddle around anyway. When I am not messing with it, I keep it on a shelf in the padded box it came in. If you win it, grin and grab it.

I got one of these last year, it's a great little workhorse. I've made some great shine out of it ran it about 15 xs throughout the summer. I ran it on my gas grill took about 4 hrs to run from start to finish, start out about 160 proof down to about 90 (tails). Perfect for a beginner backyard set up. I'm now looking to upgrade to a mile high still for next year and beyond.

Just got this as a gift for a chef friend. Looking forward to some interesting recipes.

What are your thoughts on this still vs the one with the 'thumper' ?? Worth going to ?

i have this product and tried to use it on an electric stove. The bottom side of the main boiler is a little bit curved, and when i heat it, it shakes a lot, to the point that the water in the condenser comes out of the condenser.

I love my 5 gallon, but I do wish they'd make an accessories kit. I could use new hoses, washers, tape... Everything but the fermenter, thumper and worm. I did a run a few months ago, and there were little black specks going all the way to the thumper. Luckily it stopped there. Didn't taste scorched, so wondered what else it might be?

i could turn that 3 gallon pot into thumper for my 13 gallon vevor boiler lol, one thing about these kits, they give ya just enough to call it a still but no way is it efficiant or right

Unsure if I missed the giveaway timeframe but if not I'm interested. I believe I'm going to end up buying this one. I see the kits where they also have a slobberbox but unsure if I'd use that, instead maybe I'd get or build a thumper. Thanks for the review would love to see it in action.

I don't like the condenser on the lid setup.seems like you'd fight to keep water cold.when I bought one similar to start off I thought mine came with thumper but it was more like a gin basket
