The Warning have not said much about what this song is about except that Pau said the crackling is supposed to be a campfire. They don’t play this much in concert because it’s a two-guitar song. They did play it in the Teatro Metropolitan concert with Pliego Villarreal (bassist of the Mexican band Kinky) as the second guitar. I see this as Pau telling a lone wolf shooter that he should watch his back after returning from some nefarious activity while he complains that he needs someone to blame for his poor life.

The Warning did played this song live one other time after the headline concerts at Teatro Metropolitan. Plus during a soundcheck somewhere Dany sang *Revenant.* In Montreal at the morning concert for a radio station. Pau & Dany (Ale had the flu & missed this morning show) played *Revenant* with just one acoustic guitar. With that. They can play *Revenant* with a bass, acoustic guitar if they wanted too.

The lyrics are explained elsewhere and are much darker even than that. We have the victim of a murder recounting the deeds of the murderer, as a literal Revenant. yeah, you need a campfire for that kind of story.

Hey, my Dude! Nice breakdown! I did not hear about Pau breaking down while recording this. But, Dany said she did cry while recording "Amour" from this album. It is a masterful vocal performance, by, IMHO, the best Frontwoman in rock today! I hor you go through more songs on this "Error" album!!

These breakdowns are really great. Getting to hear each layer so clearly really showcases the details. I think Pau's vocals at the end of Breathe are my favorite from her. I wonder if that's a song that's hard for her to sing without getting emotional because I was surprised they haven't played it live yet (as far as I know) despite having opportunities like the Montreal show where it was just Pau on piano and Dany on acoustic guitar.

I can relate about 'Breathe'. It just sounds SO hollow, and SO desperate, I don't think anyone could perform this live, without completely losing it.😳 That's why they opted to play it during the intermission at Teatro Metropolitan, instead of a feature song in the set. It just hits different.😐👍

I think that Choke and Martirio are Dany's two best vocal performances to date, but that this is their best vocal performance as a band, with the layered harmonies and vocalise passages, where Ale and Dany are using their voices as additional instruments.

Hiya Alan, I was kind of hoping you'd break this down at some point! There is sooo much going on in this song, besides the vocals.😮 From the crackling of the fire to Dany's little slide guitar thing, and then that slide bass part that Ale does, absolutely gives it a 'spaghetti western' vibe! Pau's vocals are amazing as always, and seeing as you showed a couple clips of the live performance, I'm sure you've probably watched that one as well. With their cousin Pliego's added guitar work, it gives it yet another dimension from the album version, and anyone lucky enough to witness that performance, probably thought it was raining, as I'm pretty sure they got at least half the audience crying on this one!!😢🥰👍👍

I think some of what you hear as synths might be lalala AI being unable to extract the vocal from the other vocal and treats one like a non-vocal, and kills the harmonics and enunciation of that bg vocal to sound like a synth. It's kind of an AI splitter problem that nobody has solved yet, imho. But it COULD be synths, I just doubt it.
