I love how you caught on to what was happening so quickly. The whole song is basically a build up to that payoff of the iconic riff at the end and it’s so satisfying

My first time back since Eric left. Glad to see you rocking to this. So, there are three kinds of covers: 1. where they are just trying to sound like the original; 2. where they basically play the original but try to make it their own; and 3. where they take the original concept and then go completely off the reservation with it. This is definitely the third. Gawd, these girls kick some royal ass. Amazing.

Since you mention their heights. They are not tall ladies. Ale, the bassist is only, 5'7", Dany lead vocals and lead guitar is 5'4" and Pau, the drummer is 5'.

You guys totally called it. This is the trailer track for Marvel's Midnight Sun's. They totally made it their own. If you're fighting gods and monsters like it's another day in the office, this is what you'd want to listen to.

It instantly reminds me of Adona’s version of Pat Benatar’s “Hit me with your best shot” that is on the Birds of Prey (Harley Quinn) soundtrack. Another song that is in this “style” is Megan Kabir’s cover of Motley Crue’s “Live Wire” that is on the “The Dirt” soundtrack (it was played when Nikki was paranoid in his closet).

The Warning are truly taking rock from Mexico to another level, if you want to know some other kickass band from the very same country give a try to Zero Killed (feat. Björn "Speed" Strid) by SENSE OF NOISE, underground but very well produced and very promosing

I think The Warning will turn great!!!!!! They are so young!!! They are 18, 20 and 22 years old! Excited to hear a mexican rock band. It has been a long time for us.

Already great when everything (including 2 shows I had tix for) shut down, they really upped their game in 2020-21. Can't wait to see them this spring. Is Pau sinister or what when she says the prayer? And I know you got goosebumps at the end.

Loved the last rift. It not only paid homage to the great original, but sort of shut the mouths of those that hated their original cover back when they were just kids making a video to show grandma and grandpa. The girls are grown now and can bring it. They are masters of composition. Oh, and Alessia can sing her butt off.

If you want to look at it again... It is inverted to the original. With the Slow start and the hard finish. Rather than the hard riff early and a slow finish. If you took some time you could very likely blend the two songs with one becoming a second half of the other in either order. Start this at about 4:55 of the original for example.

That’s definitely a projection. For it to have perspective correct reflection on her face from the angle shot would be painstaking and expensive, something they wouldn’t do for a music video.

I have always been a bit leery of "viral" artists in the social media age. Because while it has given the opportunity for artists to reach their audience directly, without going through the "gates" of an industry system, it has also had the effect of "watering down" the quality of artistic content across the entire spectrum. Yes, we all know that The Industry is full of "know nothing bean counters" who "stifle artists' creativity" for the sake of "pre-packaged, artistically vapid product"; they also have SOME sort of criteria for what gets through the gate and what does not. You can object to what that criteria is, but artists were vetted to an extent; everyone, good or bad, was NOT treated the same. Because there ARE bad artists, just like there are good artists; a Rebecca Black does NOT belong in the same tier as a Lady Gaga or a Taylor Swift. No, they SHOULDN'T be sharing the same stage, and that's what social media does. When they are all on the same stage, the effect is that the bar for artistic merit is brought down to the lowest common denominator, and that results is lower quality throughout. There are a LOT of artists out there who would have NEVER cut it going the traditional route--nor should they have cut it. Because while there are some very rare instances that a truly deserving artists wasn't given the opportunity by the industry--and those rare examples are the examples that people like to use to discredit the industry of "not knowing what they are doing"--the OVERWHELMING majority of those who couldn't get through the door were left out for a very good reason, they simply weren't good enough. Social media has removed the safety measures in place to keep the mundane from being lauded as adequate or even exceptional. The TLDR of that entire rant: Social media viral artists are detrimental to a medium by devaluing the standards by which that medium evaluated. That being said: I think this has real artistic merit. I've never been a fan of The Warning--I think they are talented musicians, but their music has never appealed to me personally. And the novelty of "look at these little girls who can play Metallica" may be a great formula for going viral on social media, it means nothing to me when it comes to artistic merit. Crazy, right? But this is an actual creative, original arrangement, performed well; this has real artistic merit.
