SoD has gotten too sweaty. Add-ons and people trying to parse have ruined the casual culture that this was supposed to be. I can appreciate people trying to excel in what they do, But trying to tank if you are not a shaman in a pick up group has become a nightmare. There’s no tactics, no collaboration, only Zerg, top charts, and parse. They Retailed my Classic and it sucks.
That’s an interesting take. I’m not saying you’re wrong, but I think that whole mentality really came into fruition in the TBC Classic and then really flooded in Wrath. Thanks for watching!
Good point. This is not exclusive to season of discovery, and from the sounds of it this is a reoccurring issue. I just don’t know what to do about it. Live in classic era servers? Find a different game? Just bummed about it.
I think there should an open each to turn it off completely, decrease it to 50% experience gained, or raise it back to 100% experience gained. If they can make an innkeeper toggle it off and on, they should let an innkeeper add a different buff.
Unfortunately the open world 25-40 isn't designed for a server full of people starting at 25. There's not an easy solution to this problem, and you're going to see the same thing 40-50 and 50-60.
As a new player to WoW I was really looking forward to 25-40. I leveled 5 characters to 25 and was ready for new zones, new quests, new dungeons, new gear. I was massively disappointed in the 25-40 experience though. The progression just didn't feel good. The loot from the quests and dungeons was mostly garbage. The quests felt less fun and more like chores. So I think the XP buff is to incentivize people to keep playing. In general, I don't like faster XP though. I prefer to enjoy the journey, but unfortunately the journey from 25-40 just isn't fun. So I don't hate the XP buff here.
Wow Classic is just a massive grind. 1-60 with no XP buff is a commitment. I can tell you that 30-40 is always my burnout phase on a toon, even after playing WoW Classic for 9-10 years of my life. Thanks for watching!
@@frenziiii hmmm.. I think a large part to my preference centers around playing one character for a long time, which is antithetical to a season serve character... But to this end, I really enjoy leveling and feel pressured when xp is gained too fast (for example too much rested xp or holiday buffs).
I just thank the gods they didnt go with cash shop level boosts and completely kill the spirit of era/hc/sod. I think boosting QUEST XP and not mob XP would be a much better way to go about it. Just make questing by far the best way to level compared to spamming instances.
I think the buff was good for people with real life obligations. Biggest problem I see is that we are late to the party. Can‘t get into raid groups because no gear/ 6of 6 exp and getting pwnd in pvp because of no raid gear. Wish they had separate pvp gear.
That’s interesting. I’ve seen a lot of people saying they are gatekeeped from gear requirements. I don’t see that much on the server Wild Growth, but maybe I don’t look hard enough. Thanks for watching.
People are too power hungry, the whole point of classic was taking a little time to get stronger, and now people just wanna max out first week and not put any time in. Rested could have been buffed to reward casuals and alts without blasting you to 40
So what's the point of this video exactly? If you don't like it you turn it off at the innkeeper, if you like it your game is improved. There are no downsides here. How did you manage to make 9 minutes out of a nothing topic.
