Tip - if you use all the revives from tiramasu it drops off your items bar as well. So you can take the card that gives you might etc for each time youve been revived, get it, blow through them on purpose as power ups, and then free up the slot. Out of Bounds was your Arcana that was exploding frozen enemies. Eudamonia was a new level... it was at the top of your list briefly while you were looking at levels.

Odd, you don’t need to worry about saving crosses and being careful about moving when you pick Mad Groove. The arcana gives you all the candles on the stage and generates new crosses

You don't need to chase Drowner (blue reaper), he stands in a spot relative to you.

Scrolls past new level. 20 seconds later: "Am I going streamer blind, I can't see it" Good move on moving back to the relics from the secrets, that limit break one has been sat at the top of the list for ages, and it really takes the game to the next level!

I've really been enjoying this series! Thanks for playing this game, it's a lot of fun to see you explore it! Also, just so you know, the Empty Tome also makes the Laurel recharge faster. Fully upgraded Laurel + the Tome is great for your survivability, not to mention is makes the lancet tick more quick! The Empty Tome is honestly the one passive I feel like I can't play without!

Odd - "I'm gonna get the Lancet and Laurel because I know I can evolve them..." Everyone - "Umm.. who wants to tell him?" Not roasting. Loving the series. :)

If you are going to continously pick lancet for your builds, you should read what the Out of Bounds arcana does ;)

Divine Bloodline can be an amazing Arcana if you lean into it. Early armor and then deliberately face tanking can get you to 1000's of health by the end, which makes for a huge damage bonus.

As a tip for choosing weapons, try to get ones that scale off the same stats. For example the bone you started with scales great with projectile speed and duration (both make each bone hit more enemies before they time out, which is why it felt much better this run with spellbinder + torronas), other weapons that scale great with duration + speed are things like runetracer/cherry bomb/bible(good job :D)/cats. But the whips you took dont scale with those stats at all, they scale best with area + luck (luck affects crit chance) which in turn dont really help the bone or bible.

More such games please, i love Loop Hero and im loving this as well. Learning the game is half of the fun

In my opinion the Fire Wand is the best weapon to "not" have, it really pairs well with the banish. But in all seriousness I think they made Fire Wand the spinach evolution to debuff it because spinach is just so good to have always.

Not that you'd need this anymore since you have LB now -- If you're feeling unsafe, just take the Always Chicken option since it will give you coins only if you're full HP, otherwise it gives you chicken to heal you.

If you want to survive to minute 31 and beyond you don't need to evolve lancet & laurel, you just need normal versions and empty tome.

Great vid as always. Yes, you had some stream blindness on the level select screen, but it was located at the top of the list, so not too crazy that you missed it. Hopefully you found that before you ended up on the dlc content. Not that the dlc stuff is bad, but it will water down your item selections with new stuff for level ups. But a bunch of new characters and some new evolutions are always good.

Bible is one of my favorite, possibly my favorite spell. No run i won't pick that up :) the earlier the better.. Then Chris accidentally discovers the joys of having Unholy Vespers and stuff that causes explosions :)

OK. So. There are phases in every map where there are almost no enemies, or the ones that spawn are super tanky and not worth killing. *This is your cue to move about and not try to level*. Go towards your pickups and run around in a circle there until you want to pick them up.

OH GOD, that finally boss fight is SO TRIPPY! Felt a LITTLE bit nauseous after words with after that assault on my eyeballs. But yeah, well done. Really should unlock more Cards for more "combos".

Chris just so you know the Always Floor Chicken option only gives you chicken if you are missing health. If you're at full health when the level up occurs it will give you the Big Coin Bag instead of the chicken so that means there is never a reason why you shouldn't just always pick Always Floor Chicken option. Edit: Also you keep saying Tiramisu instead of Tiragisu lol

23:40 you dont need lancet and laurel to kill all bosses. On most of them, a lot of damage works too. Also builds with a lot of damage kill quicker and therefore level quicker. Laurel and lancet are pretty much a must have for killing the red reaper though. 23:50 the ground objects for the upgrades are not on this map. If you look closely as you spawn into the stage, there is an animation as if they are drawn away from you. See for example at 20:50 edit: sorry for just backseating, haha. I enjoy your videos a lot. I found them by your amazing thumbnails, but i stayed for the spoilerfree approach you are taking to the game. Hats off for that. I hope you will discover everything at some point and have a fun journey. Keep making these videos, they are great!

Arcana XII turns the Clock Lancet into a Death Ray. Its one of my favorite arcana and the reason why my gallo has more eggs than anyone else.

without spoiling too much about how to deal with the water reaper: open the map, look what items are on the ground, consider your options carefully. you already have all the information just gotta make a plan on how to deal with it

The Crucifix will kill the Blue/Green/Gold/Purple reapers - ;) Glad you figured it out. The game doesn't tell you that though, but the hint is that there are three of them on the stage.

We need to ween you off of lancet and laurel, they're great in certain circumstances like making it to minute 31 or killing sketamari but as you learnt tonight, they hurt your dps until evolved. You don't need them for regular stage bosses.

Watching you debate over taking the axe and passing, then trying to hit the water reaper was funny. Axes before their morph can hit him for future runs.

The continous levling seems great in the stage were you need to survive is one wapon only.

"I'll level the clock lancet because it has an evolution I'll get later" nooo, no it doesn't. There's one arcana I have on mine that boosts the bone but I have no recollection what I did to unlock that one or what number it was lol

You unlocked candybox by unlocking all evolutions from the base game.

You can continue to level accessories even after evolutions so you can still increase your max health after evolving the whip no problems.

This was definitely that one episode in the series where the writers decided to make a musical.

Oh man, the rosaries can kill Blue Death...you were so close, lol... The 'sub Deaths' can be killed by pentagram and rosaries, just so you know. It's only the Red Death at the end of a round that can't be. Edit - Okay, my bad. You did it by accident and realized how it worked. The perils of posting before it's over. :)

IMO problem with both santa water and lightning ring is the random hits i love the weapons that u can aim more with like the guns

I always take tome xp chandelier penta. I don't know if u have seal yet but it's one of the most important unlocks

Oh no...Odd didn't notice that there are no upgrades for the lancet or laurels on this level...

This is a difficult lvl to begin with so dont feel bad. Also, you did great in thinking duplicator, tiramisu, and crown last... But u picked a 2nd weapon(lightning ring) based off of stage item, which u now can't evolve til mid-late game cuz the strat for stage items is pick up later so at the beginning when you said ok i need a chain lightning for duplicator is the wrong thinking.. U wanna actually pick weapons not tied to stage items. So u can upgrade and evolve em fast while still holding off on stage items. Then after u get like 1 or 2 high lvl/or evolved weapons later u can pick up penta, chain lit, or guns. To sum up... 2 random weapons and 6 random passives first, then stage items, and stage item weapons last. Heres how i lvl up usually.... I pick a character and focus on its weapon 1st.. So my lvls are as follows.. Weapon1 weapon1 weapon1 Non-stage passive1 passive2 passive3 passive4 passive5 passive6, then weapons2-6 and finally stage items. U can mix that up but stage items last and a couple non stage item weapons first. U get 3 cards per run, I always pickup the stage item card 2nd.. That way by the time i get it i usually have 6 passives then I can just grab all stage items at once

Weapons of unlimited potential. Hmmm. There must be something to this. Imagine focusing on just one weapon somehow. Where there's a will, there's a way.

Knives are a good way of killing the water Reaper, or any weapon that has enough reach to hit him. Edit: Odd, Scroll UP on the lvl select screen, their is something you might want to see.

I don't even play this and him not immediately taking Always Chicken hurts my soul. Can only imagine how worse it is for people who play.

not sure what you mean by not being able to increase max health after evolution. the evolution doesn't consume your passive items, so you can freely max it afterwards.

What I learned from that boss fight: Never invite Odd to a WoW raid...

I'd suggest not doing Mount Moonspell until you've done everything else, since it's the dlc level. Also: Always Coins is always coins but always chickens is always coins also... unless you are hurt. So if not farming coins, picking always chickens gives you healing and coins as needed!

You should unlock some of the DLC content. It'd be interesting to see those weapons/characters used for the base game challenges and unlocks. I really want to see your reaction to the DLC map as it's very unique in how it works.

I think you need to put some respect on bracers. The faster your projectiles with a lot of weapons the better. Like bible, bones, wand, fire wand,Rune tracer, knife. All of these are very good with bracer and when paired with certain arcanas can be down right broken.

Out of Bounds is great. Ambrojoe is really fun. Used him to complete the 6000 Milk Elementals. At some point, you can buy extra Arcana from the merchant. Not sure what the trigger is, but something to watch out for.

You are way more afraid of Curse than you need to be.

Out of bounds is the slow = explosive Arcana.

I don't think there's anything about the evolved whips that prevents you from gaining max health. Edit: Lol he realized. I love watching you learn new stuff. It's really apparent, especially with memorizing the evolutions!

For me, the Tome, the Attractorb, and the Crown are pickups 99% of the time, regardless of whether I'm planning to get their respective weapons. In fact, I think the Tome is much more valuable than the Wand. The evolved Wand is okay but Gorgeous Moon, for example, with the Tome is incredible.

Just want to say that there really is no need to always get the evolution of a corresponding passive. Like, getting the Tomb? I mean, Tome? Yes, by all means! But the evolved Wand isn't all that awesome. On the other hand. an unevolved King Bible in combination with the Tome (and, perhaps, the Duplicator) serves its purpose just fine, i.e. being a buzzsaw that pushes enemies away.

Actually the pentagram WILL kill those types of reapers lol.
