Is There Scientific Proof Of Noah's Ark Ever Existing? | Myth Hunters

Three American Christians, including Apollo 15 astronaut Colonel James Irwin, undertook dangerous expeditions to Mount Ararat, driven by a belief that finding Noah's Ark would prove biblical events true. Irwin's moon mission profoundly impacted his faith, leading him to dedicate his life to promoting the Bible and embarking on a quest to find the Ark, although his expeditions ultimately yielded no tangible evidence.

The flood story in the Bible could be the adapted version (with God) of the flood story of the Sumerian story related to the end of the last ice age when the Gulf of Persia was flooded. The story of flooding in Southeast Asia could also relate to the flood of the Sundaland during the end of the last ice age also.

The dimensions of the Ark are a geometrical figure onto which other numbers in the story can be placed to create a map of a voyage ... from Heliopolis to Patmos. This probably relates to a movement of people from Egypt to Greece during the chaos at the end of the Egyptian Old Kingdom (c. 2150 BC). Ararat can be seen as the farthest movement of these people following a sea route. From there they could have traveled across to Northern Mesopotamia ... then, as Abraham, back to Egypt. The original Exodus followed a roundabout route.

We can find stories of localized flooding in every culture. Apologists scream, "See, I told you so," but not so fast. You missed the part about "localized" flooding. There has never been a shred of evidence for a global flood. We still see localized flooding even today that kills thousands. It's a powerful force and easy to see why it has been immortalized in literature. Also, why it was attributed to Gods being upset. If you believe this story is true without my having to mention a 600 year old man or lions, tigers, and bears walking peacfully onto a boat beside prey. Or that wooden boat surviving a major storm for 40 days on an open ocean. Or the animals we find today only on their continent without a single bone of theirs found on their journey to said continent. You shouldn't be allowed to vote.

@@LueRue06 do you understand what faith is? Maybe ask yourself why people believe a fictional book of books is fact and then tell who’s biased. If sinning is real then where’s the evidence of it? Stop putting your fake beliefs on others.

@@bigskunk801 Faith is putting your trust in someone despite the unknowns. Realize that EVERYONE has a bias, it would not be easy to change the way one sees something if they already have a set belief. The Bible carries evidence that corresponds with physical evidence as well as historical events that align with the times, locations, and such, but it starts with faith in God and in Jesus (our savior). Anyway, sin is a global humanist characteristic that WE ALL share, I'm not saying that only atheists are sinners, we all are. Sin is the wrongful act against moral and divine law, the Old Testament of scripture gives the foundation of what this means to sin against God, but ultimately, we all sin, we all disobey God, sin is a common trait we all share, its only natural to rebel. However, not believing in God, Jesus, and the Gospel, is what puts people at risk for eternal separation from God. Sin is doing what you know is wrong, but you do it willingly. Sin is going against morality and actively pursuing evil, whether it is something as small as lying, or something much larger. Sin is not a claim, it's a fact.

In the Bible, God tells Noah how to build it in an extremely specific way. There was a height, width and length. Nowhere does God tell Noah to curve the bow or the stern. Therefore, the supposed ark that Mr. Wyatt found could not be Noah's Ark as it has a curved bow and stern.

As Origen put it, “who would be so foolish as to believe that the days of creation are literal days when there is not even sun, moon, and stars until the fourth day”.
