Trucks have changed over the years in so many ways. This 1950 GMC 100 pickup truck really showcases where we have come from with truck design and usage. One thing that has become very popular is the classic truck market. This GMC originally came with a straight-6 but now has a 5.7L 350ci V8 mated to a 3-speed automatic. Its exterior has the classic side step design postwar design with 20in American Racing Wheels. On the inside the color has been brought in and features a full leather bench seat. Is this 1950 GMC 100 restomod pickup the PERFECT classic truck?

In the summer of '67, after a near fatal accident in a '66 Mustang, my brother restored a, '50 Olds convertible, with a split windshield... Cream Yellow, Black Top! It became a project car that aided in his recovery! All I remember, was all the, J.C. Whitney catalog mail order parts that came on nearly a daily basis. He even took over my parents two car attached garage, for the entire time of the project, which they weren't too happy about during the winter months, here in Michigan! Long live, "The Yellow Balloon"!! 😎

Here's a bit of Vintage GMC truck trivia that most aren't aware of. They used to have a creeper gear shift to the left of the steering wheel, so that farmers could reach in thru the driver window, shift into creeper & follow the truck down the crop rows to pick crops & throw them in the truck bed during the harvest.

Great video!! I love seeing old cars & trucks restored! My brother still has the same 1965 mustang that my grandfather bought new back in '65. My mother took her driver's test in it as did I back in '89. My brother fully restored it back in early 90's & it is still driven every once an awhile!

Reminds me of the 1950 Dodge pickup my Grandfather bought new and used on the farm for over 30 years. He converted the six volt system to 12 volt for easier starting in winter. I remember the starter button being on the floor. It was the first vehicle I drove before I was old enough for a license. One of my cousins has it in storage and it still looks great. My dad owned this kind of truck that that I took a few good road trips with him in. The only thing that spooks me is that vehicles from that era don't typically have seatbelts, nor are they required. With the way I see people driving nowadays, that'd definitely be something I'd have to add.

Joe I am going to watch. Earlier today I was thinking about to ask you to do review on vintage cars. You came up with this as a surprise. My request you should do it more often. From late 40s till 70s we had many great American cars. Some brands we remember are Studebaker, Pontiac, Oldsmobile and DeSoto.
