looks like four speed with 2nd and 3rd synros and none on 1st. square cut 1st gears and reverse. typical of that era. there's a bit of a learning curve... IME. :) there are plenty of good reasons why people do a resto-mod on them, so i understand why it's done., although i personally like the original ones, but might think twice if i wanted one for a reasonable amount of driving. looks like a nice example. was sold on BAT earlier in 2022 for over $45,000 and offered for sale, again on BAT, four months later and bid to about $24,000, but not surprisingly, didn't meet reserve. beware, driving quality and creature comforts have made MASSIVE advancements in seventy years. original examples, even excellent ones like this one here, can leave a lot to be desired when one has become accustomed to the modern SUV.
