Allegedly one of the 3 tramps picked up by the railroad tracks in Dallas, right after the Kennedy assassination; pretty sure he claimed to be involved.
All of Bill Murray's lines were improvised. He actually bowled 3 strikes in a row, so the crowd was already amped to see him pull that off, that just added to his performance. One of my favorite roles of Bill Murray.
Yes, when The Farrelly brothers told him what his role was and showed him the script he didn’t look at it and told them “I got this”. And the rest is history.
Woody Haralson's father wasn't an actor that I am aware of. He was an assassin that was implicated in several murders and was convicted of two. The final one being a federal judge.
Woody Harrelson's father was hired by the Chagra brothers to kill a San Antonio judge. The character of Chigurh in No Country for Old Men is based on the Chagra brothers. The Coen brothers hired Woody Harrelson to play a hitman in No Country for Old Men.
This movie doesn't take itself seriously, like it's not trying to be the greatest film. It's meant to give you a little laugh and be entertaining, which it accomplishes imo. It also has an underrated soundtrack.
I love this movie, when it came out on video my father was going through chemotherapy and was not doing well, I rented it and we watched it together. I never saw my dad laugh so hard and now whenever I see it I think of him. R.I.P. Dad, I miss you.🥲
The story I heard about the landlady is she's the sister of one of the producers at New Line who got a few bit parts here and there, you can see her as one of the teachers in A Nightmare on Elm Street, for example. She wanted this part, but they didn't think she was right for it. So she dressed herself up like some disgusting smackhead and came to their office. Just as they're trying to figure out how to delicately get her out of there, they recognize her. And she gets the part. She played a couple similar characters afterwards in There's Something About Mary and Detroit Rock City.
The scene where the indian in the truck threw the trash at him walking down the street? They were making a parody of a commercial back in the 70s about not littering. The commercial featured a guy dressed as an indian chief standing on the side of the road...maybe on horseback, can't remember. People were driving by and someone threw a bag of trash out of their car as they drove by. The camera did a slow pan from the trash up to the indian's face and he was shedding a tear.
I think some of these movies, where a lot of people grew up on them; like, I was born '88. So I saw this, Happy Gilmore, etc. when I was a kid. Now I have fond memories, and it's still entertaining. But I loved it as a kid.
A co-worker got me to watch this movie à few years back & ever since we randomly walk past ea h others desk and yell "Who you calling à psycho?!?!"🤣😂 We don't love this movie as a great movie, we love it for what it is.
Great movie... The bill murray improvised scene in the cafe at the start is the best scene... "why dont you go eat that outside"... "hi.. Hi.. Not you"... "when you come back could you wash off that perfume" loooooooooopl
I think 20:04 went over my head back when I watched the movie. "Roy Munson has one of the most intimidating hooks in all of bowling." He literally has a hook underneath his fake rubber hand.
We ‘English’ pretty much live hand in hand with the Amish where I live. I’m friends/aquatints’s with a few. They are basically the coolest people ever who literally nobody would ever mess with. Even the towns ‘riff-raff’ would mess you up for messing with them.
This movie knows what it is and it leans in to it, it never tries to act like it's a serious movie. I really enjoy this movie but I remember the cultural context it came out in, I remember the "crying indian" commercial (fun fact: he was Italian) and other things in this movie so when these jokes hit I still get it but I get they are VERY aged and I get how someone could watch this and be totally "meh" on it. Above all else, It is a movie for its time.
The weird scene where Chris Elliott offers $1M to sleep with Randy Quaid was a spoof of Harrelson's hit movie INDECENT PROPOSAL from a few years earlier, where billionaire Robert Redford makes the same offer to sleep with Harrelson's wife, Demi Moore. This is why Elliott is wearing that goofy blond wig.
Not to mention the teacher in A Nightmare on Elm Street / the receptionist in Critters / a PTA meeting attendant in Pump Up the Volume / Neugeborgen in Dumb and Dumber / Jam's Mom in Detroit Rock City / the nurse in Say It Isn't So / the Makeup Artist in Stuck On You!
Woody Harrelson's dad has an interesting background Melo. He was supposedly involved in Watergate and possibly the murder of President Kennedy. It would make a pretty wild movie if it's all true.
This is the movie that made me fall in love with Woody Harrelson as a serious actor :) His interactions with Bill Murray are amazing and I still quote it to this day :) Them: "Hows life Mike?" Me: "Takin forever 😂🤣😎" 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣
You cut the funniest dialogue in my opinion haha which would've just been before 14:40 "I think I tore my sack." & "There's a huge cloud of... *sees Claudia by the car* ...shit!" "Hey everybody, run, there's a huge cloud of shit coming!"
Right at the start, Woody's dad was a murderer. Yikes. But he grew up in Lebanon Ohio. I know that because he was the annoying little brother that wanted to play with my dad's group of friends. That's why he was perfect on Cheers. He grew up in a little Midwestern town.
This was the first thing I saw Woody Harrelson in, and it’s amazing how he was known earlier in his career for his comedic sitcom characters and now he’s one of the more recognized character actors of the last decade
I respect your honest opinion. Idk, some of that sh!t just hits me funny as hell. It's interesting to me that you showed some clips of the unedited version which apparently I had never seen before - thanks. I know you were grossed out by the landlord lady, but her's are some of the funniest scenes for me. The visual of Woody (puking) in the background beneath her exposed thigh is an homage to a very famous scene from The Graduate with Dustin Hoffman (with a hilarious spin, imo.).
This is one of my favorite movies of all time. The unrated version is a lot better , in my opinion. Amish men are only allowed to grow beards once they are married, easy way to see who is single and available. As for the landlord's cunnilingus skills, scary good lol
I’d really like to know the ideas of the intro w the head hung down and whip up eyes closed room scan to the part of 300. It’s so unique and different every vid. It’s fun. I’m just always so curious of how it became to be.
Randy Quaid's most famous role was faaaaaaar from Independence Day. He used to be a serious actor and was a co-star with Nicholson. He kinda did a better job than Nicholson. The Vacation movies? He used to be huge.
I just discovered your channel and what a great movie to first watch your reaction to. I love this movie. You are reaction funny to watch as well. I will have to check out more of your uploads.
I wonder if there's a 10 hour video of just her doing that tongue action over and over XD I can imagine that people in Hell are watching that on RU-vid, their WiFi isn't able to pick up sports or news, but it's able to clearly pick up that video XD
I love how Randy Quaid can’t grow a beard in the movie but in real life he has one of the bigger beards in Hollywood. He’s in the Karl Marx club, His whole face is a beard. Robin Williams, Kurt Russell and Mel Gibson are all in that club lol.
I'm guessing your past sports comedies(Happy Gilmore, Talladega Nights, Baseketball, The Big Lebowski...) sparked this one lol I've only seen it once I think, decades ago. ✌🏽🤘🏼
Cousin Eddie!!! How could you not know Randy Quaid is Cousin Freaking Eddie?!?! Yeah, this movie is meant to be stupid funny. Jokes so absurd that they are hit or miss. I bet if you watch it again, you’ll find about as many new jokes that you saw this time through. I always find new ones. It’s like Airplane. It just keeps giving laughs.
And as for you October choices.. dip your toe in with some horror comedies. Army of Darkness, Tucker and Dale vs. Evil. I would recommend Scary Movie but there's a few movies I'd recommend first.
I don't know if I've ever looked for this movie to watch - but, any time it's been on TV, IMPOSSIBLE to skip it, classic background movie! Love me some Farley Bros comedy!
Freedy Johnson's songs, _"Bad Reputation"_ and _"This Perfect World"_ were a great addition to an already fantastic Farrelly flick. Whenever you hear these songs, you think of this movie.
2:39 - Dude, that actor playing Munson's father in this movie is not Woody Harrelson's dad. He's actor Daniel Greene, and he's only 6 years older than Woody which would make it impossible for him to be his dad, lol. His dad's name is Charles Harrelson, who died in 2007 at the age of 68.
I don't care too much if you watch the movies I suggest, but you should because I will try to suggest real hidden treasures like: Diggstown! Love that one, love your channel too!
