Finally. Some REAL Queen. No one ever reacts to early Queen. You gotta do the first album too. Queen I. I think there both good, but the first album is slightly better IMO from my memory.
He has done the first one. It was on his first channel bit it's been deleted. He loved the album though, I remember that reaction vividly! I didn't download that one but I did download this one and was able to send it to Weaboo!
@@TheBlackQueen okay lets calm down, we all have our preferences and tastes, it all comes down to perspective and the topic at hand is subjective. i agree with you, i prefer early queen up to NOTW and jazz
Fairy Fellers Master-Stroke is all about a painting by Richard Dadd of the same name. Freddie loved it. Listen to it whilst looking at the Wiki page, try to spot the characters.
It WAS and IS fire. I think March of the Black Queen is an absolute masterpiece. The musicianship on this album is out of this world. Seven Seas of Rhye. This stuff doesn't get old, it's classic and timeless. The guitar on this album is also filthy.
By the time I got this album punk had taken hold, then the synth 80's, so I remember when it wasn't cool to be a Queen fan. Back then you shared vinyl with close friends as we couldn't afford to buy everything, I'd get this album back and could tell they didn't listen to it. Live Aid changed all that, every Queen fan was going "I fucking told you!" on that special day. Great reaction
Never gets old!! Quite frankly one of the most amazing hard rock albums I’ve ever heard. Sooo many people including casual Queen fans, don’t even understand how diverse and deep Queen really is! It’s Incredible!
Agreed! It is breathtaking in its ambition, layers, productions, transitions into songs - needs to be appreciated as a whole - and I could go on! It is so much more than just a hard rock album, and I wouldn't even attempt to categorise it. It's just early Queen! Incredible and definitely one of my desert island discs...
Omg! one of my favorite Queen Album👏 the White side and Black Side🤟it shows that even from early days they're really a master in everything they put to their albums💛 the Instrumental, the harmonies, mixing and everything combines with a heavy rock sound with artistic rock and progressive rock elements. my particular fav.is MOTBQ😁 before Bohemian Rhapsody there is March of the Black Queen💛
Agreed. It's fearless and full of genius. If Queen or Freddie ever come up in conversation, I always band the from for their early albums up to and including A day at the races. Just brilliant in their scope and musicianship.
In my opinion, this is all so much more the Bohemian Rhapsody ever could have been. The black side (side 2) is their most ambitious work ever! SO GREAT!!!!!
You are listening to four incredible musicians doing masterful music. This is what I miss. Freddie RIP Legend. Hard to find the words isn’t it? Lol. Great reaction.
Yes. It's astonishing in its variety, bravery and richness of sounds. There was nothing these four young gentlemen couldn't do, and do superbly well, all through the 70s. Of all the bands you know, who can match their first 4? Queen, Queen II, Sheer Heart Attack and A night at the opera are all incredible...
Absolutely brilliant watching your reactions ❤️ this album is said to be Queens heaviest love it can’t put them in one genre they cover all sorts rock ragtime vaudeville pop etc x have you reacted to the first self titled album Queen?
thanks, Weaboo for taking on this EXTREME Queen album ... I especially love "someday one day" - SO Brian May.. his vocals.. I know, he said himself that "everything sounds better when Freddie sings it" -- but in this particular case, I think Brian is the right vocalist - lol...also, "loser in the end" - Roger Taylor song... just RIGHT for him to sing (Roger and Brian were the "rockers" in the band) - I appreciate your reactions.. and look forward to more!
I must agree. Brian May's vocals on 39 are also really beautiful and heartfelt. Their first four or five albums alone are worthy of our admiration for them. All are astonishing.

@@davecole2561 Yes, Dave! And if you have a chance, you should watch the video that was created maybe just a year or so ago by Brian on Tenerife - where he did his solo song: In another world, and also solo of '39 - so beautiful! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-rJI_CkHJ9Z0.html
This is my favorite album not just from Queen, but from any band i've heard. All of the songs has "the" character and Queen really did this masterpiece in 70's. Imagine having march of the black queen, ogre battle which is a rock solid song then the melancholy one like white queen and some day one day. Fire.
That's the comment I wanted to write! You beat me to it. I turned 50 and wanted a great 1974 album on vinyl for my birthday. Look no further than Queen II. It's aged a whole lot better than I have! It's a work of daring genius from start to finish for me...
I have always enjoyed this album but I feel that the follow-up "Sheer Heart Attack" is sonically better. I really love QII but the mix isn't that great.
Why? Well aside from singing. They all wrote songs, & played multiple instruments. You know what that means? Aside from a huge ( ahem ) catalog. That is. LOL. Diverse hits / diverse music in general. Song writing credits. Means big money across the board. Which keeps every band member invested, & productive. Creating. Contributing to the band as a whole. Which is very smart, & probably the reason they remained a working band until Fred's death. BTW In an interview. Brian said. If the third album hadn't hit. They probably would have had to break up. As a consequence of all the money they would have owed.
I think he was talking about their forth night at the opera ( Bo Rap) They were getting help to get away from Trident they had no royalties and Freddie didnt for his two singles that were no 10 and no 2. NATO they were direct with EMI who gave them a huge payment to make the album. But if they couldn't make it work they would have to call it a day.
The english music press TRASHED this album (and every other Queen album). The public felt different, but radio really didn't start playing their songs until A Night at the Opera & Bo Rhap that was because of Kenny Everett (DJ) who loved it. After you've listened to Sheer Heart Attack you should watch Live At The Rainbow '74.
Their first two singles weren't played because the intro were too long. Freddies Seven seas was the only single off this album and it was no 10. Shear heart attack Killer Queen was no 2 Now im here no 11. NATO Bo Rap no 1 9 weeks and Johns youre my best friend no 7. Yes they were trashed by the press
