Im about to purchase the black and orange model, very impressed by the build. There is a carrying handle on the frame near the bottom of the handle bars, like picking up a suitcase
I purchased the orange & black one from Bert’s Bike in Erie, Pa. I love this bike, very nice unit that fits well in the back of my Ford Bronco Sport. I am learning to ride & enjoy the easy ride. I like the easy way of riding it, looks cool, like the wheels. Is a lot of bike, expensive to begin with but wanted the foldable capability it offered. Was given the chance to ride & experience the feel of the unit prior to actual purchase.
I bought this exact bike about 6 weeks ago. Mine has a telescopic handlebar (not sure if the bike shop I bought it from added that or not) but I was looking for 2 light, foldable bikes for my wife and me. She got an XP Lite from Lectric and to be honest I loved the look of the Blaupunkt and the test ride was what sold me. It just rode more smoothly than the XP Lite (to me). I’ve ridden close to 150 miles already and love it. For our needs they were perfect (we don’t have a truck and both of these bikes can fold up, go into bins and fit nicely into either of our mid-sized SUVs). I recently found your channel and really enjoy it. Keep up the good work!
Hey, Chris. Thanks for the nice review. Can you post a link to the new handlebars you installed (and the new grips, since you had to destroy the originals to get them off)? I just found out we're getting two of these (free!) for purchasing a Winnebago travel van. And I am 99% sure I'm going to want the 3" rise handlebars for both bikes. Thanks!
I'm not sure where this bike fits in with a line up of 500 folding bikes for cool factor. I guess it's ok as a transportable around town bike. Same you said.
Rack? All ebikes for the road should have that tire tread. Knobby tires on the street are dangerous with little contact patch. No one is climbing a dirt trail on an XP Lite or 3.0. Those will be fine on hard pack dirt and gravel.
You really are clued out... Many have that magnet. To roll it you extend the handlebars and roll it on the tires and roller... Enough of this nonsense 👋 PS That bike was marketed as Ducati, Energiz, Hikari, Onebot and about 7 other companies. Blaupunkt designed or changed nothing. Also it looks like you need to properly input the wheel diameter at 20.5". I have 4... A Onebot and 3 Hikaris. The Onebot S9 originally came out at $700. Another PS It seems Blaupunkt deleted the quick release handlebar stem which allows you to fold it more compactly. Of course it really won't fit in the bag with the 2nd set of bars, watch you dont scratch the frame now... 🙄
