Is This Breakfast Off the Charts? 

I just got back from having breakfast at The Original Pancake House in a suburb of Minneapolis, MN. 2 eggs scrambled w/American Cheese, 3 Chicken Sausages, side of Hollandaise and 3 buttermilk pancakes + coffee...$20.69 (£16.41) + a 20% tip. I could have bought a lot of groceries at Aldi for that, but sometimes it's just nice to get out amongst the maddening crowd!

I took one look at the sausages and thought “There will be trouble ahead”! 😂

Of course we all love your videos love your down to earth , straightforward personality, you don't need to act 'off the charts!' to grab our attention......you must be doing a good job because I can savor the food as we see it so clearly and then your expression says it all. Can't find a good sausage here in Canada like the ones you (and I) love ...so we can live through you at having an "off the charts" dining experience, .....here's hoping your views keep going up

Hi Darren, great video and the breakfast looked excellent. It’s very handy having a motorcycle to get to some of the out of the way places where a car might be a pain to park.

Go to beppe's cafe W Smithfield Proper grub. Breakfast are the nuts and the ham double egg and chip are even better. And yes they serve proper sauages And crusty bread . All the best Darren keep up the good work

A very fair and honest review. Shame the sausages weren't great but at least you were able to enjoy the rest. It would have filled the gap and allowed you to just rest a bit while Daisy was being cleaned and polished. That cuppa tea did look good and now I'm wanting one myself. It's getting closer and closer to the big trip. I can't wait to see your epic journey to Tenerife on the now gleaming Daisy. Super exciting! 🏍😎

Looking at that DJ I'd go for double bacon, fried egg, mushrooms, bubble, black pudding and double bloomer bread and butter with a cup of roses and leave the rest. Great vlog on the bike on the ceramic geezers channel btw.

Nicely presented breakie, DJ but cafe let themselves down with shall I just say indifferent sausages. I wouldn't eaten both either. Still important thing. Daisy got it's make over 😀

PG Tips for the tea - they're at 10/10 before the fry-up comes out! Would've preferred the egg flipped over for about 10-20 seconds, just to seal it a bit. Bacon looked spot on. Too many beans. For me, I'd have preferred half that amount, and the other half in tinned tomatoes (I see they only do either/or). Decent meal. I wouldn't say 'off the charts'... 9/10 from me. Top stuff, DJ. Hope you have a top trip. 👍

I thought something was lacking from the fry up DJ, the fried bread, fry up looked good, soon as I saw the sausages, they weren't going to be OTC, but a yet again a good looking fry up none the less.

Hi there DJ,Great British Breakfast or just a fry up? Having watched so,so many Breakfast vlogs ,I now believe they should be made redundant and go with the "fry up " Let's face it a cafe brekky can be hit or miss. From blanched mushrooms, cheapish sausages to celery&pea bubble,tinned or fresh tomatoes ect ect.Why not change bangers for a lambchop, or burger (with or without onions) Bacon,eggs,fried bread and build up from there. It's your meal,so a little of what you fancy. Oh and it has to be TEA❤to wash it down.All this nosh chat has made me peckish, so off to make a bacon butty(streaky bacon) with brown sauce. Cheers

I do like a catering sausage on the odd occasion so for me it was off the charts anyway!

It looked okay but nothing special , it's always going to be hit and miss with a breakfast because we all like different things on the plate and have preferences as to how they're cooked. Best breakfast I've had down south was at Café Riva in Southbourne , all the breakfast items were priced individually and you basically build your own so not disappointed like the normal pre set meals. Great content and looking forward to your road trip 👍

Bushey isn't far from me. Good to see a cafe that isn't scalping its customers. £10 for a fry up these days is very reasonable, and maybe thats the reason for the sausages not being to your liking. Farm Sausages are much more expensive.

Getting a deal with a local butcher for real sausages probably would add maybe 50p to the price, but it would attract more customers, apart from the bangers, the rest looked good

As a regular visitor to England, I find your lack of enthusiasm and appreciation for brown sauce with your breakfasts quite troublesome if not outright …hehe only kidding- another good review!

Hi Darren, I was just thinking that you have slipped up there with no fried bread. Just before you said it, I’d much rather have tomatoes than baked beans and daddies brown sauce. Other than that it all looked good

It's okay to have a bit of red sauce and brown sauce too. You don't have to choose between them and only have one. You're an adult, and to be fair, if there's no HP fruity sauce, you need to improvise lol.

You should ask when you are ordering your breakfast if they are butchers sausages. This way you could replace them with an alternative... Didn't look to bad to me... Then again a bit of brown sauce on the sausage and I couldn't tell the difference 😂😂😂

This breakfast could have been off the charts..but the sausages let it down Darren. The Bubble and Squeak looked the business though didn't it. I will give this breakfast a 7 out of 10.

A breakfast is usually judged by the quality of the Sausages, eggs are eggs and beans are beans but sausages need to be good, when do you start your road trip Darren?

The hungrier you are, the better it tastes.

Drink tea in France early in the day and two things will happen - the tea will probably be Lipton Yellow muck And the cook will let your tyres down🙄
