I'm Catholic but I must try and come along to Fr Calvin's church, I have no excuse not to as I'm only a few miles away.

Father Calvin is a blessing. We live in dark times and his courage speaks for those that have no agency, or even awareness of what is actually happening. Pray the Father sends more like him.

I am watching from Oregon in America, and it is astounding that you could be talking about our country, our churches, and how we are being lied to if we aren't careful. I have loved listening to Fr Calvin. He hasn't said anything that I don't agree with, though, I am a Protestant. We have some strong pastors here that we cling to as they always tell the truth, like you do. Jack Hibbs, John MacArthur, and more. This is a wonderful experience finding brothers in Christ, and being encouraged by God's leading where He chooses.

Great interview. I became Anglican when I was 51 then Catholic at 62. Very much in the "old catholic" mold of Calvin, though I go to and love the TLM. Up to about 55 I was very left. Wrestling with God, like Jacob, finally led me to be traditionally conservative.

I grew up in St Andrews Presbyterian Church, Chatham.. it was basically all white and it was dying losing numbers, the last thing my Mum and others did was pray the building would be used for Jesus. After 20 yrs living abroad I went back. Its now 'Kings Church Chatham'. Its full of lively lovers of Jesus from every tribe tongue and race and its really vibrant and just a lovely place to worship. I am sad that the C of E is most likely beyond hope of redemption. I’m not religious but morning hymns and prayers in school assembly were an essential start to the the day. You left assembly with a positive message of being good to your fellow student. The message of the bible is a simple carrot and stick approach to being a decent person whatever ethnicity you are it is your character and actions that count.

Luke warm Christians are contributing to unbelief. How can a sinner repent and seek forgiveness in a community of self righteousness and contentment in self but not seeking God with all their hearts.

A church that compromises itself to appeal to an audience does not make converts, it is what is being converted. Imagine what an even vaguely national church of England would look like. Those deprived of guidance for so long would be queuing out the door to participate.

I'm putting my faith in the Marian Prophesies. In them, there is comfort and solace.

It may indeed be too late to "save" The Church of England. May be getting on too late to save any "Church," or even "Christianity." "When the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?" Christ is still risen, His people are still known to Him, the real Church, His Body, will never be eliminated, and He is coming again, whether "Christianity" flourishes on earth or not. Once upon a time the Christian Church on earth was a few dozen people. If numbers signalled "curtains" for the Church, then her beginning ought to have been her end. But ultimately we do not believe in Christianity; we believe in Christ.

Thank you for your love and concern for the work of God in our day and time. He works in you to will and to do of His good pleasure, (Philippians 2:13) Nothing takes Him by surprise. Even when the days are darkest He is able to make His light shine the brightest. The dark day of the crucifixion became the light of the resurrection. Lewis, it is so encouraging to hear something of your redemption story and how the Spirit has softened your heart to receive Christ and having the scales fall from your eyes. Make sure you are discipled by good godly men like Calvin. Our nation is under Gods judgement and there are few places Christians can find sound teaching and faithful shepherds. Make the Word of God your priority and study it diligently to know Christ and what pleases him. Ligonier Ministries is an amazing resource that has saved me from the woke lukewarm C of E and British evangelicalism (Liberalism). Some thoughts on the "Christ is King" issue from a Jewish believer in Jesus: The situation is sort of akin to how the hymn "The Old Rugged Cross" got adopted by the KKK as an anthem that would be played at their rallies (as the cross was lit). The inspiring hymn which emanates biblical truth, has no connection to the affirmation of racism, but while sung in churches to glorify God, it was also used as an anthem by the KKK, affirming their deluded perception that the KKK was nobly "standing for Christ." There are those with animus toward Jewish people who are using the phrase "Christ is King" as a "put down" on Jews, the vast majority of whom do not believe in Him. When such animus is the motivation, it comes across to Jewish people as: "Nyah, nyah -- your religion is wrong" or worse "You Jews are enemies of God"... to Jewish people (including myself) there's a subtle sense that it is communicating that Jews are a nefarious presence in Christian society... a 5th column undermining the ideals held by Christians and therefore their influence should be exposed and marginalized for the good of Christendom. Believers in Jesus who say "Christ is King" as an affirmation of Jesus and his gospel have NO connection to such an attitude, but there are others who are motivated by animus toward Jews, leading to the confusion on this issue. I guess it depends on who is saying it and what is their heart's motivation in doing so. There's a very dark history dating back millennia of Jews being mistreated, expelled and murdered by people who professed faith in Jesus over Jews' refusal to convert to Christianity, and at a gut level, even an irreligious Jewish person will have a visceral reluctance to considering the gospel because of this history. I'd encourage people to read "Our Hands Are Stained With Blood" by Dr. Michael Brown (who is a Jewish believer in Jesus, who also authored a 5-volume set "Answering Jewish Objections to Jesus"). "The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, and he who is wise wins souls." Proverbs 11:30 "A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger. The tongue of the wise makes knowledge acceptable, but the mouth of fools spouts folly." Proverbs 15:1-2

A few years ago the Lord Jesus commanded me to go around almost every church in Bridlington, East Yorkshire on a Sunday morning and walk in and loudly rebuke them for being lukewarm and for not preaching the true God of the bible. This was the will of the Most High.

By way of contribution to the debate on whether Christianity is conservative or not we must remember that Jesus was all about compassion and forgiveness: forgive your brother seventy seven times:; he tells us to turn the other cheek when we are attacked; if someone steals our cloak we should give him our shirt too. And he directed his harshest words at those ultra-conservative religious figures the Pharisees and Sanhedrin. So we need to take Jesus' teachings in the whole. There are messages for those on the left and the right. But yes ultimately we are invited to believe and have faith. Perhaps today's worst sin is that there are so many who are indifferent to the message or who are actively campaigning against it.

Speaking to believers, didn’t Christ say that people will come from the North and the South, the East and the West, and will enter the Kingdom before you. ? I have no problem with that. I think there is a Church Invisible coming into being in these tumultuous days. The world can’t see it, many believers can’t see it, and this is all to the good since it means they can’t screw it up and twist it into the shape they want. One day they will see it and hammer on the door begging for admittance but they will be told, Depart from Me, I never knew you. I personally don’t think they will be left outside for ever, but they will certainly feel agonised repentance for what they did, or did not do. We live in momentous times.

I like Calvin, he talks a lot of sense. I believe the CoE is dead. I can’t understand, however, why Calvin has become a Roman Catholic. First, all Christians are priests. There is not a special category of priests in the church. The doctrine of the Mass in unbiblical, as is Mariology, purgatory, the pope etc.

Israel are by birth the natural rulers of the earth. They are the oldest brother and the kinsman redeemer. When the first fruits are holy then the rest is holy. Flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom. God adopted Isaac with all the rights of a son. As a son he inherits eternal life. Jesus is the fulfillment of this adoption. As the first born of the first born He sanctifies, among other things, the first born. Because the Law can never sanctify, because He is the Law, because He is the Word, He is able to perfect obedience to the Law in the Flesh. As He is perfected in dying to His right to be the first born, He literally fulfills the requirement of the first born by being the kinsman redeemer. Now Israel can meet the requirement of the Law, in Christ, as the firstborn. By birth Jesus is the King of the Jews, and by birth Israel are the chief mountain and are the rulers of the New earth. If you make Jesus the King apart from the Jewish nation and seek to replace Israel with the church, then yes it becomes antisemitic and you take away God's order of things and Israel's rightful place. When it says the God made a New Man out of the Two it is talking not about the Gentiles and Jews per say but rather that He fulfills the Law through faith. People seem to forget that the Law overlooks sin for a time. It is sinful to divorce, the Law shows that God's nature is to not divorce. However, the Law which is love, allowed them, because they are weak to get divorced. It is sad that people do not get how faith fulfills the requitements of the Law. When Jesus says He can say nothing apart from what God gives Him He is referring to the word in the Temple, the same word that was with God in the beginning. Jesus is not bringing a new word. For that to happen He would become a false prophet, leading Israel from the word. He fulfills the Torah in Himself perfectly. The Torah adequately reveals Jesus and fully demonstrates His functionality in sanctifying all who put their faith in Him. As God does not change, and God who is love, how can He ever fail in fulfilling His adoption of Israel and sanctifying her so that she can take her rightful kinsman redeemer position of the head of God's household? The problem with the church stems from the beginning. The Nicene creed and apostolic creeds ignored God's selection of Israel and caused the church to not even think of Israel in God's economy. It is quite clear, that in he last form as Babylon she needs to be wiped of the face of the earth. God raised Babylon to discipline His people. The king went beyond his remit and would not let them return. The church was raised to provoke Israel to jealousy be demonstrating the fruits of the Spirit of the Law of Life. Instead she became arrogant and thought more highly of herself than she ought. She has never been the same since. How on earth can Aristotle and Plato define the annals of God? Yet the church turned to Greek philosophy to determine the word of God. Forgetting that the gospel is foolishness to the Greeks. One thing only is needed to determine what pleases God and what His will is. That is it humble oneself. Knowing the will of God was never meant to be rocket science. This is clear the word that states to inherit eternal life you just need to become like a child. Godliness and the fruits of the Spirit should not be out of the reach of even the simplest Christian
