Great work Birders Show on another awesome video! I hope someday to go birding in Colombia but for now I will vicariously bird there through your incredible videos.
Wow q bonito.
So great seeing the show grow along with the production quality ! Has been incredibly motivating and inspirational seeing the passion and enthusiasm right from show 1. Big fan !
Amazing guys thank you so much. We are travelling from the uk soon and my brother is disabled, but you have shown us that birds can be seen by everyone. If you have any tips for other very accessable places we would love to hear from you. Jon needs to be able to bird from a vehicle or a wheelchair. Keep up the good work this has helpsd us immensely.
Hi Hilary, thanks for your comment and kind words, we really appreciate it, and we're all so happy that our videos have helped you plan your trip with Jon and had a positive impact. There are so many great, accessible places with beautiful bird feeders in Colombia that can be enjoyed by everyone. I would especially recommend some of the places we'll be visiting in our new episode that launches today, particularly the spots around KM 18 near Cali. Doña Dora's place isn't entirely wheelchair accessible but the ground floor birding is wonderful and accessible. Do you have any sort of set itinerary or specific areas where you're planning to visit and I can they and help with more local recommendations? Chris
Wonderful show. I was up at that hotel a year ago photographing hummers , Tanagers, and Brushfinches, but was too sick with altitude sickness to go up to the Buffy Helmetcrest's location.
Hola.
The highest species density is probably in the Andean cloud forests. I think the best places to observe a lot of species in one place would be Montezuma Lodge, Avistamiento de Aves Doña Dora, El Observatorio de Colibries near Bogota, and the reserves we visit in the episodes in Caldas department
Thank you Jake, we really appreciate it. As a UK birder myself, I'm still astounded by the sheer numbers out here, even after a decade! Our new episodes which are coming out soon have even more unique and beautiful birds so keep an eye out for those :)
Love your videos and was very lucky as I was in Colombia and went bird watching in Guasca. What's the kowa spotting lense are you guys using? Subscribed btw.
Thank you, we're so glad you're enjoying the videos! Some great birding to be done in Guasca too! The scope is a TSN-770, but we just started using the new TSN-88. Thanks for subscribing!
