I’m 1 Min in and had to post. Why do guys keep saying IQ is the 2nd guy after Scottie. Do you guys watch the games. IQ isn’t and has never been on RJ’s level. You just saw RJ be the best player in Tor when he came over. The question is does that continue. IQ got paid but he can’t do what RJ does. He’s too small.
This has some great points. RJ is underrated with all the contract talks going on. RJ is killing is doing work on the Canadian Olympic’s team getting one of the most points in the exhibition game against the States. Hitting 3s like a boss! Can’t leave him open! 💪
Because of their contracts making them the highest paid Raptors, it's not based on actual on the court facts. RJ will be the Raps #1 option on offense... he has that mentality. IQ could end up the #2 option. SB has never been the #1 option on offense in HS nor college. He has always been a glue player. I hope the Raptors can make a trade for Brandon Ingram (Bruce Brown, Chris Boucher, draft picks) as a starting 5 of: Poeltl, Barnes, Ingram, RJ and IQ, could have the Raptors back up in the top 4 teams in the East. As long as Ingram is fine with a contract extension under 200 million.
@@IceManLikeGervin RJ could end up being the Raptors top scorer this season, for sure. But in terms of usage, I imagine he will be behind Barnes and IQ, as he's more limited as a playmaker/shooter. The market for Ingram seems non-existent, it seems like teams are hesitant to give him his next contract.
@@fabiolucarini4102 RJ is a better one one player than SB and IQ. He can put his head down and get a bucket or a foul at almost anytime he chooses to do so in my mind. RJ just needs to improve his 3pt and ft shooting but he is a bully guard in the paint. BI's current stagnate market is due to teams not wanting to max him out along with apron related salary cap tax concerns. BI may end up having to take a less than max deal ala Jalen Brunson if he wants to be traded right now and/or in the future. The salary cap is projected to rise by at least 10% next season when the new TV deal kicks in so a team may take that into account when considering if BI is an option for them. Time will tell.
If Brown is going to be traded it should happen sometime during the Vegas summer league when all the NBA front offices are in Vegas face to face to make deals.
