@@skeemaldn5176 Yeah, But there a Chance of Rap Also Dying for its receptivity of Beats and Melodys used, Most Rap Music Now are More Piano Like, and Synthy
It got so overwhelming with all the leads and crazy arps that it just became glorified white noise, if Navie D is correct about the whole music decades trend then we might see a resurgence of rage with a fresh new coat of gunmetal gray
@@cronglecatastrophe6991fr bruh at some point you just gotta let it go 😹😹😹 There was only ever 1 good rage beat everything else just sounds like copy n paste
It’s true, but for business especially starting out, sticking to only one genre is key for growth. Rage just isn’t cut for longevity unless it’s hyped again
@@themosttoast3733 i get it, they have some similar sound selection, however opium synths are usually harsher, chords for opium usually revolve around power chords whereas rage uses thicker chord stacks either by layering, or 7ths, 9ths and 11ths, opium leads are typically short in nature and will jump octaves to achieve a glitchy sound whereas rage leads are held and typically centre around chord notes
none of that is rage, rage is defined by thick chord stacks, usually 7ths, 9ths, etc, long held leads, with nostalgic sounding melodies, and sound selection for chords & leads is more similar to future bass with big wide sounding saw waves, so these projects share nothing in common in terms of what defines a genre
@@rlyBeats I believe rage has simply evolved away from those Future Bass type chords. I see what you mean, but I still disagree simply because saw wave chords are a signature element of rage, not a necessary one imo.
@@yusufyilmaz6623but like we can trace the start of those other sounds to be before or around the same time as rage, also sounds used in genres is one of the defining features to a genre so simply disagreeing doesnt really work. the only true evolution from rage has been new jazz interesting enough so like rage couldnt evolve into opium since it started at the same time with WLR, etc
Rage is definitely not even close to extinct Ken Carson just dropped agc which was well received and pushed the sound even more. All the top upcoming rappers r on rage beats as well.
@@KOHETPAX nah its not. rage is euphoric and video game sounding. while agc definitely has rage influence, its style is more dark and gritty, instead of video games it sounds like some sort of dark web analog horror shit, it also takes a lot of inspiration from chief keef beats
@@jayyang236 Yeah but it was huge early 2010's, you heard it everywhere now it's gone back underground, i didn't mean to insult the genre, i meant rage is a phase in music like dubstep
Rage needed to be made to let other underground subgenres to really flourish and becoke more popular with people who were listening to "mainstream music"
I think the problem with rage is that it is a bit obnoxious for certain situations, like a lot of of music kinda works no matter ur mood but rage is a but much if you arent running/lifting or energetic
I mean when everyone tries to make "I miss the rage" but Walmart edition what do you expect? You gotta take what's already there and adapt it to your sound and switch it up.
@@rlyBeatsbecause you have the limiter on by default. take it off, that shit is BEYOND clipping bro if it was an analog board you would've fried it lmao
I don’t see how most people say it’s boring then I look up and they listen to gunna. I think rage/hyperpop is one of the more creative things I’ve heard since rap evolved. Video game sounding instruments, hard hitting drums? Meanwhile old 2007 trap I used to listen to when I was like 15 is coming back and people calling it “Glo” lol I just think alot of people need to appreciate what they like and spend less time commenting negatively on what they don’t because in another 10 years you will cling to those songs because the generations after you will completely change what you perceive to be relevant and you will be the old guys
That should really be called trap tendo bc it's really bit Nintendo sounds and trap drums lol bc Rage did evolve fam. Ragers found a different sound they could still rage to so in my opinion rage is more of a feeling and a vibe at this point.
Well there’s too many styles of “rage beats” Like there’s any synthetic sounding beat that you could mosh to. (Which was probably first) then there’s earlier Ken Carson beats that rlly came to be known as rage beats. Then lastly there’s “I miss the rage beats” that just sound like I miss the rage. That’s what this is. I’d like the former 2 to come back😂😂
