i’m preparing to get married september 18 and i’ve prayed this prayer sooo many times in the 2.5 years i’ve been with my lady. I pray “Lord if this is your will build it up, let it grow, and continue, but if it’s not tear it down, block it and don’t let us go forward” and it keeps growing. so I keep going until the lord tears it down, and he hasn’t so I keep moving and trust God

Bless your union. I prayed the same thing and had absolutely no peace and it fell apart completely. I’m struggling with it. But I keep telling myself that if it was God’s will for me to marry that man, I would have had peace when I prayed for it. I’ll continue waiting for the man the Lord has just for me.

@@ceeare12345 I had that happen with a previous relationship, but God gave me the strength to cancel my plans to meet the person I was planning to go travel to see. the relationship was completely wrong for me and her, and I needed to let go. for this one it’s diff. i’m thankful God ended it. I trust Gods decisions

Whew... This word. Give us strength, Lord! Often times discerment and spiritual intelligence isn't the issue, it's actually finding the strength to choose God's will and abandon our own. That's the space the enemy toys with our desires and emotions. We typically know what God wants us to do and what is right vs. wrong. Let us be in sync with you, Lord!

This sermon has definitely been an answer to one of my prayers that I have been praying to God for quite some time. but I have a question for Pastor Jerry that hopefully he can answer in next week's sermon. How do you know if it's God's will if you don't know or have a passion for anything in life and you are just blindly going through the motions of life? Work, sleep and taking care of your responsibilities. What direction to you head towards then? What do you do?

Jerry always gives me the answers I need without even realizing it. I'm glad he allows God to use him. I was angry at God for months cuz he allowed my friend to die n I kept asking why.like why would God allow that but after hearing this I have peace.
