It feels so good to see someone be so kind to one of the most abused animals on the planet. I could watch video after video. Thanks for being so kind to this beautiful guy
There's an aura of divine peace when you're brushing Hamish! Love the way you take care of him! If only there were more people like you on this planet, it'd be lot more calmer place! Keep up the good work!
Ouch. 2200 pounds of cow right on top of fragile fingerbones, it must have hurt like hell. I feel for you. Not Hamish's fault, like you said, but a very painful reminder of what lack of attention around these guys can cost... they are wonderful, gentle creatures, but can't help the damage their bodies can cause when a slip up happens. They are big, strong boys!
He's like, "ooohh that feels sooo good!" Especially under his neck. I'm glad that you didn't lose your hand. Cows aren't too picky about what they step on, that's for sure!!
I love how you understood how you got hurt in that situation rather than putting blame on Hamish. Most people(in particular, horse owners) like to put the blame on the animals. Your Highlands have a great life with you
Even though you got hurt by accident I'm glad you're alive to tell the story. He even got up to say hey see I'm a gentle giant. I bet he loves your conversations. 💗
I am so glad things are good again. I felt bad when you had to work on his face and then he didn't want much to do with you. He is an amazing creature!
He absolutely loved when you were brushing his neck! My wife and I are absolutely in love with highlands . Once we retire definitely going to adopt one. I hope they are as well mannered as hamish and just as beautiful.such an amazing creature.
Hahaha! I loved how Hamish looked at him when he said he weigh a little over 2000 pounds! Like: "why you have to talk about my weight for Dude! And, by the way, I ain't fat; this is ALL muscle! That's right!"
The only way we’ll ever know for sure is if it doesn’t... unfortunately being a bone bacteria there is always the possibility that it’s lying dormant somewhere in his jaw
its interesting how hes aware of the size his horns and dips back before he turns so he doesnt hit you. my dog isnt aware of where hes walking sometimes...
Marc, while not having the extreme pleasure of living with a coo, I have developed a closeness with your two buddies that I wouldn't have thought possible. They remind me of two lovable puppy dogs. Unfortunately, they couldn't climb into my lap to snuggle and be petted (they'd crush a lot of my bones) so I do it in my mind. I get a warm feeling when I watch you love on your babies, patting, hugging, kissing. To any animal lover, it's patently obvious that they love their Daddy and their Daddy loves them!
Hi, i just found your channel/video! In awe watching you gently brushing your highland cow (had to google search everything about that beautiful animal after watching this) ! I watched your previous video and i agree with most, please don't change anything about how you make your vids, it's very enjoyable how it is. I like your calm energy, voice, accent, and seeing your handsome gentle giants with you. I just subscribed to your channel and like clicked. I look forward to watching more of your videos and learning more about your experiences with them. Introvert mom of 4 sons (2 autistic),enjoying the youtube community, learning from others, while trying to grow my channel (dog therapy music to save pups/human lives) God Bless!
Hi Marc. I live right down the road from you in Roanoke. Ever since I saw these Highlands I've been fascinated with them. I first I thought they were Beefaloe.lol There's a few on a farm in Catawba Va, near a few acres I own, that has them.Regal Beasts they are!
I like the new intro. I always get a kick out of animals when you start combing or scratching their chin or their throat. It’s like over here now over here get the spot too...lol.
When this pandemic is over, I want to visit and spend a couple of days putting posts on the farm or helping in any way on the farm. This is great what you do
