Danny Zacharias, you are doing meaningful work that is really helping people. I haven’t been to Seminary, but thanks to people like you and Darryl, I’m reading my Greek New Testament with joy. Thank you!
Thanks. I use it everyday and it helps keep me sharp and exposes areas of weakness in my parsing abilities. I love the versitility of being able to focus on areas where I might be strugggling. Keep up the good work.
Thanks for the Video Darryl. If you have time to review the difference(s) between the ParseGreek and Bible Vocab+ app that would be much appreciated. Thanks.
Parsegreek does not work with android. For android I have ginoskos which is okay but can be quite awkward at times if you are studying through Mounce's BBG, as the curriculums just do not flow the same, it can be hard to find exercises appropriate for what you are studying at any given time
It is only Android 9 it does not work with so if you have an older device that hasn't updated you can use it. I can use it on my phone but not on my tablet. Looking forward to the new version which will work on the tablet. Great app.
I am at ground zero in this. I want to learn because I want to be able to understand the bible more but I dont have the opportunity to go to college for it. Can you recommend any beginner books?
Yes. I can do more than that. Take a look at MNTG.me/join. In just over a week I will be starting a beginning Greek course. You’re welcome to join. At this stage I recommend Mounce’s Basics of Biblical Greek, but there are other options and some good ones coming.
I have to ask; do you you have any financial/commercial involvement with this app? Making such as disclaimer would seem pretty important and honest with this kind video. Thanks.
I actually don't use ParseGreek in calls. But if I did, I use zoom and I'd simply share my device's screen. Alternatively, you could use Ecamm Live with zoom and have picture in picture with it that way.
Hello im confused about the rendering of Dan 8:23 in english The vast majority of texts say something like “In the latter period of their rule, When the transgressors have run their course, A king will arise, Insolent and skilled in ]intrigue. however the Douay Rheims, basically all alone says And after their reign, when iniquities shall be grown up, there shall arise a king of a shameless face, and understanding dark sentences. This verse has implications for jesus' claim that "this generation will not pass away" Its generally agreed that the word "their" is alexander the great's successors and that the "king skilled in the intrigue" is the evil king daniel says will come at the end time So it would seem that most popular translation is right then Daniel's evil king should come in the "latter part of the greek successor states rule, when they have run there course" This would make Jesus' generation the last possible time for it to be fulfilled because that generation was the last that lived during the era of Alexander's successors Option 2 is more readily future compatible
Thanks for your question. This isn’t an area I’ve spent a lot of time studying, but there is a good discussion of this in the EEC commentary on Daniel which is now available on Logos Bible Software.
