I’ve followed you since you began posting. I love what you’re doing with the 996’s. Taking them in, going through them with a fine toothed comb and rectifying all issues regardless of the shopping list required. Keeping the 996’s alive and in perfect condition therefore future proofed for their new owners. You’re the “996 whisperer”! 😎😂
Great videos, keep them coming! They are really helpful in pointing out the week spots that need care on these 996s! You usually replace the coffin arms on your cars (as the bushings tend to wear with the years), but I’ve heard that these parts are pretty expensive from Porsche, what brand are you using?
Not a fan of the ocean jade colour at all, probably my least favorite choice, but hey that's why they have different colours. I am loving the look of the early 996's, and really digging your videos, so please keep them coming, it inspires to get mine out of the shed.
Love the wheels on the Ocean Jade car; I believe that they're the same wheels as fitted to the 993 Turbo, as the 996 Turbos wheels wouldn't fit on a narrowbody 996...
Cool car. I think I have something comparably rare. I have a '98 996 with same hollow spoke turbo twist wheels and I also have the factory LSD fitted. Manual car, black on black, but with sun roof and rear wiper. Mine's a South African market car (C26) and I'm struggling to get much info on it's early life as Porsche UK can't provided anything. Any ideas how I'd find out first owner details? Porsche South Africa is a subsidiary of Porsche Middle East, which is ran out of Dubai. I've not found anyone there able to help.
great vids, I own a 2001 manual no sunroof seal grey 996, options include M030, aero kit less rear wing, full leather and turbo front bumper, but alas its has a rear wiper. it looks very similar to a 40 year anniversary model. has only covered 30k, IMS clutch condensers coffin arms all done …. just wondering what sort of value you would put on it? I know its hard without seeing it cheers
I love the Ocean Jade Metallic 996, not so much the colour but the fact that it is a 1998, a manual, non-sunroof & rear wiper delete. As you said in the vid, it allows such clean lines from that beautiful 996 rear quarter view! I personally hate sunroofs on coupes - they ruin the roof line, create another potential leak point (the drains always get clogged) & reduce the stiffness. If I want a big hole in my roof, I'd buy a Cabriolet!
