What's best with Hevisaurus is, they don't underestimate kids. The actual music is the same, no matter if one is a children or an adult.

here in finland we learned that kids are humans too that can and should be respected. Its a weird concept, but you get used to it.

Ok, now you need to see Hevisaurus - 100, meaning that is their 100th song. So many of the best Finnish metal artists are there. And after that, you really really need to see Tuska20 anniversary song.

We children of the 90s had a rock band for children, Fröbelin Palikat, who are still active and will play their first big festival gig next summer at Ruisrock, which is Finland's oldest continuously operating rock festival. 🤟🏻 It's good that nowadays there is metal made for children. 👍🏻

I was at Hevisaurus concert with my son and there wa a boy at wheelchair,so all band members went to greet him during songs and bassist played song walking around audience.They greeted my son too and he remembers that whole of his life

Hevisaurus was originally created by Mirka Rantanen, who also plays drums in Raskasta Joulua project. And the music is arranged, produced and recorded by Nino Laurenne, the owner of Sonic Pump Studios, which many people know from Wintersun studio live videos. And almost all well known Finnish metal guitarists have played in Hevisaurus albums. As someone suggested, you can check Hevisaurus 100, that video features players and singers from Nightwish, Wintersun, Megadeth, Battle Beast, Beast in Black, Sonata Arctica, Amorphis, Stratovarius, Children of Bodom and so on.

Hevisaurus band is actually a group of theather actors, who are musicians as well. They created this band to contribute the good uniting athmosphere between all kind of kids who likes to rock 🤟 As a parent for their own children, they wanted to deliver all kind of good values with their music and songs. You should definately check their video, which is also their song number 100. It is a celebration video and you will see plenty of familiar faces, as a guest, from many other finnish bands, which you have already been reacting to 🔥

You should watch Hevisaurus song called 100. To celebrate their 100th song there was great artists singing and playing with them. Some you should also know.

My 3 yo daughter saw them playing live with a symphony orchestra just couple of days ago and loved it. She was practicing her "hevimetallisarvet" before the concert 😄🤟 We've been watching the videos on repeat for days. As other have said, check also the video for "100". Lots of familiar faces for metal fans.

Members of Hevisaurus also play in other Finnish rock bands. Some of them have said making music for kids is actually more difficult than for making music for grown ups. Kids are brutally honest. If they don't like it, they will say it out loud. Adults may be too polite or well-mannered to do so.

They are damn good live too! They got some double minded jokes flowing around making it fun for adults as well. It was a view on the midsummer festival Nummirock opening one day with separate show for kids too when there were corpse painted adults singing Viimeinen Mammutti with teared eyes :D Then me and my wifie started dancing cancan to their song Liskodisko and suddenly there was a whole line of us dancing it :D

Other metal band for kid's was Moottörin Jyrinä (Motör Rumble in eng.) They play covers of Iron Maiden, Ozzy and Motörhead songs with funny finnish lyrics.

What's the coolest of the cool, they actually play live every time they perform. That shouldn't be taken for granted. It just adds to the appreciation as kids wouldn't give a damn as long as some dinosaurs show up.

The Argentinian/Spanish-language version was last published in 2016. After a long pandemic break, they traveled to Mexico for a few days in 2023. Further future plans are unknown: "Hey! 😀🤘🏻 Hevisaurus, when my sons were young, this was listened to a lot. Their Jurahevi musical was also seen live in the Peacock theater. My favorite is definitely the Avaruuden autokorjaamo song. If you liked the singer, you should check out The Milestones band 😉 Greetings from Finland 😊🤘🏻

My boy has been huge band all of his life. He also have been very interested of dinosaurs in general. I don´t even know how many times he has seen the band live but i think somthing between 15-20 times. First time we went to see Hevisaurus live my boy was propably two years old and now he is 15.

The musicianship is top tier. This is the thing with Hevisaurus. I remember my kids listening to this when they were younger. The lyrical content is kids friendly, but the musicianship is very good... And they have some very nice solos in their songs. It is very Finnish...

Yeah. Räyh! is a good one. And Viimeinen mammutti... The most played song at my house at evening when the kids are getting ready for their good nights sleep. 😊 "Hyvää yötä viimeinen mammutti..." (Good night last mammoth...)

It´s also notable, that there are offsprings of this band in germany and.....brasil, I think. There they perform in the respective nation´s languages. The german one even had collaborations with Doro Pesch, a quite well known female metal singer. My kids were on 2 shows so far and have infected all their friends with it^^

Well the original band and idea is from Finland. When it become popular here the reckord company decided to copy this into the southern America. The songs and melodies are the same, but the lyrics are of course little bit different there, but the basic idea is the same.

Hevisaurus is the first step, then Teräsbetoni or Lordi is the next and third step is deep dive into all metal music branches from all countries. Or if one would stay in Finnish metal, one will find Turmion Kätilöt and never return into the light again.

Too bad you didn't have the lyrics there, they are very good lyrics for metal-kids. They are about the Hevimetallisarvet (Heavy metal horns) => It is teaching about the hand gesture you put up as a sign during metal concerts like this In my youth, there was another band called "Fröbelin Palikat" that made clever and fun sing-a-long rock songs for children, and they were insanely popular as well, and I think they might be still active even today I've never actually heard Hevisaurus before (single and way too old), but they are indeed really massive here in Finland. They are already on the hotlist of gift ideas for my God-son and niece when they are of sufficient age to appreciate this without getting scared

guys the band behind the masks, are stars in other well known finnish metal bands.. they have a double live. With other words - they dont put b-roll musicians into the masks. That is the secret sauce that divides this from other countries "childrens music"
