Funny how some people are questioning why a "youtuber" had to play Snow White, completely blinded by the fact that Brett has only been a YTer for a year AND and actor for MORE THAN A DECADE. And yes.that's her real voice. She's been on theatre since she was a kid.

You're correct, I believe I read that Shapiro and his partner at Daily Wire are spending a hundred million on movies in the next 12 months. It'll be amazing if Brett's Snow White passes the Disney bag of silliness, something to wish for.

What do you mean _how do they have the rights_ ? It's a Brothers Grimm novel, not property of Disney, who basically just did their own version of it. Just like Universal did their version w/ _snow white and the huntsman_
If they take from the Disney version, which it seems they are doing, they can be sued. Just like Universal owned the rights to the look of their Frankenstein
@@modern.performer well, her outfit appears to be like the Disney outfit; and it seems like they are implying she is singing to the animals in the way done in the original. The whole teaser (if it is for a real movie, and not just trolling, which is not clear as it is poorly executed as one would expect with trolling) is made to make one think of the Disney story and not the original Brothers Grimm tale.
If this contest boiled down to Brett Cooper vs. Rachel Zegler, Brett Cooper wins hands down. Months ago, Brett said she would love to play Snow White. Now she's getting her chance, and we see how humble and grateful she is -- unlike another actor cast as Snow White...WEIRD! Weird. 😮

But Disney is STILL trying to hold the Daily Wire up in court. Disney is scared. People often forget than Disney doesn't own most of the stories that made them whom they are today. Most of the stories they animated, like Snow White, written by the Brothers Grimm and their various other fairy tails, like the Little Mermaid are 100s of years old and have been public domain for years now. Though, Disney did adapt these old fairy tails, that were often quite darker then their animated counter parts. Looking forward to seeing your reactions, as I will not watch this newest Disney "Snow White".
Correction: Little Mermaid was written by Hans Christen Anderson.(1837). And you are correct, Snow White was from the Brother's Grimms' Fairy Tales. Disney does not own the stories or rights. Daily Wire+ is making their own adaptation. Also, Brett is actually the one singing that song.
Disney forgot why their rewriting of the original actually caught on. They removed the darkness and made it light, endearing and relatable. Not just that, they made the stories MAGICAL. Now they want to send it right back into the darkness because of some trendy feminist agenda that will burn out in no time.
The Snow White story has been around roughly 1000 years, withstood the test of time and is known to everyone. Who will even remember Zegler in 20 years?

The Daily Wire hasn't the rights for this because they don't need to. If they are inspired only by the books from the Grimm Bothers, they can do it as everyone else. There are lots of movies about Snow White outside Disney, and the last one of them had Kristeen Stewart as the main character. There is also a version with Sigourney Reaver as the Evil Queen. What they can't do is usage of the original designs, names and music from the 1936 animation movie.
Actually in the Brothers Grimm tale of Snow White the Prince doesn't kiss her to wake her up. He asks the dwarves if he can have her glass coffin moved to his castle. While moving it the coffin one of the Peince's servants tripped. It tilted the coffin and the jolt dislodged the piece of apple from Snow White's mouth.
3:25 PBD said it best right here; Disney IS a "legacy product". When you're the CEO in charge of Disney, you're not just running a multi-billion dollar corporation, you're the temporary custodian of a 100 year old tradition w/ the responsibility to maintain its high standards.
As for the rights, Daily Wire may be basing their movie on the original Brothers Grimm tale, which is in the public domain. I've never watched the '37 cartoon all the way through, but I have read a few of the Brothers' Grimm stories.
Good for Daily Wire and South Park. The story of Snow White is over 200 years and so has been in the public domain for a very long time. Daily Wire would not be able to use any of the songs in the 1937 film or any songs in the Disney remake. But that's okay!

brett actually said she grew up on the grimm bros version and she loved it. also, disney doesn't have rights to the grimm fairy tale. it's in the public domain. therefore, daily wire's able to make the grimm (not disney) version. finally, brett was an actress for 20 yrs or so before she ever became a commentator.

You can be a leader and find love, you can be a leader and be brave, fair, and true and still need saving sometimes because we’re human, I hate the premise they’re trying to teach this generation of kids that you can’t be a “leader” unless you cut off wanting true love or the idea of needing a man in your life, what??? We are wired for connection, we still need one another. As a woman, women can be fearless leaders and still be feminine, have love, and need help. Disney’s fan made fiction can be fun but I don’t think anyone really appreciates the complete rewriting of classics on the big screen to fit one of the modern world’s schools of thought, whatever happened to writing new stories 🤷🏻♀️

Thank you, thank you for mentioning that many Disney stories are based on The brothers Grimm Fairytales. Many people do not know this. I am from Germany and their stories are a part of our culture and childhood. Brett Cooper will be excellent as Snow White. If Disney's version continues on its current path I will NOT go see it..
The snowhite I remember had the charming prince barely there. It was mostly about the 7 dawrfs and their different personalities, evil vs good, snowhite, the evil Queen and the compation of the huntsman. It was perfect, doesn't need to be changed at all
Disney does not own Cinderella, andd many of the stories they have made famous they have not credited the original writer with any compensation worth talking about.
If Mouse House made a live action movie about the Tuskegee Airmen of WW2, would they be compelled by their guilty conscious to include a blonde Nordic pilot character, or a Native American pilot character, or a Latino pilot character, or a Semitic Jewish pilot character, or an Asian pilot character? Not to mention LGBTQ+++ characters? Seriously, a whole cast of straight black men is not inclusive at all. It is historically accurate. But who cares about accuracy? I DO!!!

Do you know what’s worse about this entire thing with Disney like Walt Disney would roll over in his grave right now Snow White and the seven dwarfs are what made Disney. Disney as an entity, Disney as a theme park Disney as a movie producing studio would not exist today. If it wasn’t for the original, Snow White Walt Disney laid all his money and all his investors money into that one film and everybody told Walt that this movie would tank and instead it blew up and created Disney. These woke executives have ruined the company. Just like Democrats have ruined California and are trying to ruin the entire country. It’s no different.
