Cole: *deals with the loss of his powers by helping others and being wholesome* The other ninja: *PAST TRAUMA, SELF HATRED, PARENTAL BAGGAGE!* Moral of the story is that cole goes to therapy
I feel like the problem with Kai is that he has gone through so much character development, but then any time the writer's need him to do something they're like, "Oh, Kai is the arrogant hot-headed one who needs to learn he doesn't have to do it alone." Which, you know, they've done like 5 times.
I don't know what I expected Zane to do in the period of time between having his memories removed and Wu finding him, but it did not involve him becoming a snowboarding folk hero. Good for him.
Why do the writers always give Kai the short end of the stick? Even though Jay's had its problems with going backwards too, at least it had SOME new content with him thinking about his birth parents. Kai's was the worst one by far. They only know how to do one plot point with him, and it's him throwing a fit over powers. I'm so sick of it, he's a way more complex character than that, I miss how Kai was in S1-S5, dammit. Y'know, when he learned this lesson the first time and got over himself because he realized what was important was protecting those he cared about? Not to mention he was being a dick to Skylor for no reason, she deserves better than that :/
On a lighter note, Nya putting a tracker on Jay is absolutely hilarious and accurate. It would be the most entertaining thing in this book if it weren't for folk hero snowboarder Zane, which is now my new favorite piece of recent Ninjago lore. It's so ridiculous that it makes sense.
All this time I thought Zane and Pixal were actually Boyfriend and Girlfriend, but NOW, THEY TELL ME THEY STILL CALL EACH OTHER “CLOSE FRIENDS”?!?!?!?!???!??!? Nindroid obliviousness is gonna kill me, I swear it! 😰
We’ve seen how Pixal felt for Zane in Crystalized in “Compatibile” and they’re telling me that they’re just friends?!?!? WTF!!!!!!! (On an unpopular note, I do have a crush on Pixal, soooo… 😅)
I would give ANYTHING to see the Ice Emperor thing in the show!!! I hate that they left these important stories for the books. Books just aren't good enough for me, I need to be able to see it!
I'm honestly shocked by those glossary definitions. Somebody's not paying attention to the details... Nya's definition is by far the worst in my opinion. Why mention that she's Kai's sister as the first thing? (I mean one thing is to mention it at the end when it is irrelevant, but this?) They could've mentioned how she created Samurai X, how she became the Water Ninja and reached her full potential. They could've mentioned how she defeated the Departed Realm, and how she literally became THE OCEAN. It's just ridicules. And also, she's not Jay's girlfriend, she's his yang (why do they get this wrong??) The absurdity of it becomes really obvious in the case of Nya - Not only because she has multiple times stated that she does not want to be defined by the men in her life, but also because she has been a part of the team for such a long time and is a great warrior in her own right. Who wrote these definitions? Who checked them?
It seems like Ninjago is just the Ninja losing their powers and then getting them back. First it was the Golden Weapons being given to Garmadon to stop the devourer disaster, then they get it back with the Elemental Blades which they completely forgot about, then they get their powers back using the temple of light, then they get their powers stollen by Chen's staff which they get it back, then they lose their power again by Morro's weird magic that's never explained which they get back by defeating Morro, then they lose their power again when they give their powers to Lloyd when he was dying, then they get their powers back by reforging the Golden Weapons which they completely forgot they had until Crystalized.
Holy cow those glossary definitions are.... something, alright. They really only defined these women by the men in their lives, including the one who specifically asked multiple times in the show to not be. So uh.... yep. Okay.
@@hannawhite7605 pixal, i can see. nya is a member of the team same as the 5 boys and it makes zero sense that they are going against their own writing of when she claims not to like being referred to in that way
Sounds good to me, but I assume the writers are trying to see how the community would react to the new writing with a book, which I don’t mind honestly. But the point of the main characters keep forgetting the lessons they learned from this exact same issue they’ve been through already just makes me feel annoyed a bit
I agree, it’s so inconsistent that they have to forget some of the important lessons that would help them grow. Not remain the same. Honestly, I’ll have less excitement over United since Crystalized ruined it for me (hope you can understand)
@@brickbanditstudios6037 agreed. I love Ninjago, but most fans of the show have already grown up. but, the question is, when will Ninjago itself does?. I thought we already passed that point, but as you said, crystallized😂. but let's be fair, It was a bit good in some certain way.
@@ahmedalarishi6119 I bit good, that’s a bit of a stretch. There were so many problems that made scream “WHYYYYY!” Like how Lloyd is super forgiving of Harumi after she tricked him time, and time, and time again (that’s a red flag right there), Nya was very useless, the other ninjas barely contributed to any developments, Lloyd is very unlikable, and the Overlord barely had any improvements in the season. It shows to show that managing a season with six writers is complete hell for all of us. Well, the only good part of it was Garmadon and Pixal, that’s pretty much it
@@brickbanditstudios6037 I see your point, but I’m just trying to be positive😂. Also, let’s not mention the dragon armor being called the golden armor, Lloyd believing garmadon would never change while he already thought the opposite previously, and other things I cannot think of. but in the end, there’s nothing we can do about it, they for sure know how the community reacted to the season in general, and all we can do is hope the new writers don’t repeat these kind of mistakes again, and try to focus on the bright side, regardless of how small it is unfortunately.
Amazing video as always! Awesome that they sent you the book early!! Would you mind telling me what music you used in your outro because i’ve been looking for it but can’t find it…
@parachutingkitten I remember during lockdown I used to listen to Ninjago Podcasts of Season 11 (Now they are deleted RIP) they sad that Pixal was Zane's Friend and they don't mention if they love each other or etc. The Book basically shows the exact same thing about Pixal and you assumption about that in the 30th season Zane will tell Pixal how he feels would be correct!!!
Wait, they exit? What were they like? Also honourable mention to season 12 when the mechanic called Pixal Zane’s “Samurai friend”…we better get an actual confession by season 30 because if we don’t I will riot
i've noitced how cole is the only one without a girlfraind to support him in the book, kai has skylor, jay had nya, zane had pixal, but cole didn't , i would've loved if they had vania show up in the book
okay i don't know why but the idea that kai was like just a terrible person to skylor when you think of season 4 it just confuses me how that could happen and also makes me laugh (not as stupid though as kai telling lloyd in season 8 you've got to be cool and ignore women to make them like you and it's like kai how did you and skylor like each other it was just by being nice to each other and seeing each other)
