What to look for when buying a used single barrel break action shotgun.

Pretty reliable guns but they do tend to need new ejector springs but besides that they are solid

At that price i would buy all they have if they have good solid lock ups and no serious problems.thecolder guns made out of solid steel and wood are way better than the new ones made of plastic and designed to break after so long. The old stuff was built to last multiple lifetimes

One way to look at it is what are you going to get for $75 that's made to day to the same quality standards as that old Stevens? Nothing. Absolutely nothing. A little elbow grease and with a clean-up you've got one fine servicable shotgun that will last for decades. Not a bad deal at all for less than a C-note! l.

They’re proud of those old turds around here they want more for one of those than they do for a brand new Stevens 410…lol. No-brainer by brand new with a warranty and removable chokes.

Have you seen the newer ones they're made out of plastic and they suck. I'd rather have an old-school one made out of solid steel and wood
