Excellent review! Indy looks so good. Those headsculpts are incredible. I mean even hot toys has a hard time capturing Harrison Ford, but Sh managed to get his likeness and carisma just right!
I love this figure. It is the only Indy I ever need. I am really glad I waited to get this before I purchased the Hasbro versions. I have the Hasbro Short Round, and this just makes me wish figuarts would also do Short Round. I also only paid about double the Hasbro price. Pretty good value.
Thank you very much for the in depth review and the variety of comparisons. I already have a few of the Adventure Series versions and was on the fence about this one. You gave me some great points to consider. Thanks again.
Little tip, as you have short round, he came with an extra hat. The hat that comes on the A.S line is my preferred style of hat. With the extra hat, you can pop that on and then you have a more accurate hat for the figure
SHF's jacket stands out as being so shiny, Hasbro's looks really good. But of course... the SHF details overall are stellar, and you can't beat their spread of accessories. Hasbro's is still really great for the money and how widely available it is/was. Bring on the Mezco!
Great video. I was about to purchase the Hasbro figure, but after watching the comparison, the difference in favor of the Bandai figure was significant. I ultimately bought the SH Figuarts, and it's amazing. Thank you very much. Regards.
OH MAN, that Figma one is NOT what I remember. I also got it when it came out because, OMG INDY FIGURE. Ended up selling it eventually, but I definitely don't remember it being that bad. The Hasbro one surprisingly isn't too far off. The SHF is real nice though for sure.
FYI, the figure actually has way more range with the butterfly joints. If you push it more you’ll see lol. But if you want, detach the jacketed arms and you’ll see how the shoulder joint is.
They made the strap on the bag way too short. Other than that, pretty great figure. Definitely the best, straight from the factory, Indy figure. However, I repainted a few of the Hasbro ones and I prefer those. If you go back and watch the movies, especially Last Crusade, his holster looks empty the majority of the time. So it’s actually kinda more accurate this way.
Obviously you did a fantastic job comparing him to all of the Adventure line but I just can't get the crossover of Geats or Kakashi out of my mind their interactions would be really fun.
