This is the Ready2Sim GT-G Wheel rim mod for the Logitech G29 and G923 and honestly, it’s probably the coolest, most realistic mod available for Logitech’s wheel which also comes at an affordable price point. That being said, it’s not without its flaws, and in today’s review, I’ll be explaining just that.

Why do you get logitech G29 wheel mods? The G29's FFB isn't up to spec.. If your spending this much on multiple wheels you may aswell get a fanatec wheelbase or something similar and go off that.

@@awsomestleaperd78 Maybe because G29 is a minimum viable wheel that people buy to start with. Then instead of having to buy a whole new setup they want to upgrade. Even with the CSL DD the cheapest setup for hub, wheel and pedals is ~€800. While in this example €100 gets you a nicer wheel. Then add a TrueBrake for €80 and you've a better setup. Definitely not as good as a DD but still very useable for most and about 1/2 the price of the base Fanatec setup.

@@ahicracing884 right I understand that. However, upgrading the G29 wheel is.. like I said, pointless. The original wheel is very good. FFB stays the same, buttons stay the same. All you get with the wheel is suede grips which wear out fast as shit without gloves which are unintuitive to use with a G29. But, I'm not here to tell you what you can and cannot buy. Do what you want it's your choice 👍

If I might suggest something - do NOT lock your camera to horizon and try to remove the g-force wobble effect and hide the on-screen steering wheel (if it's an option). The shaking can give you some nice feeling of movement however getting used to that will not give you good consistency. In reality the dashboard does not shift or move in relation to your steering wheel. If you want to be more precise then keep the dash perfectly still so you can see what the car is doing by the movement OUTSIDE of the windscreen.

Considering buying this wheel rim, do you feel that while shifting its further away from the shifters themselves. Does this affect driving?

Since the wheel rim sits flush against the wheel base, the paddle shifters are still at nearly the same length.

I think the force feedback is less powerfull couse od weight, and also from bigger diameter, witch makes lever mechnism

Hi, you are correct, the bigger diameter and the added weight will ,in theory, reduce the force feedback. However it's only roughly a 7-10% difference which in our opinion and play time it was unnoticeable. What was noticeable was the added comfort and more realistic driving position provided by the bigger diameter, to sum it up, you win more than you lose :)

definitly, it looks great and all but i honestly wouldnt put money into a mod like that, rather save up for a stronger wheelbase and go from there if im beeing honest... i feel like the logitech bases are just too weak and outdated, and modding something for it wouldnt be worth the money

To all the rest of the Fanatec snobs. A lot of people are casual racers, they don't need to Merry Christmas love you too $600-$1000 on their setup to play a couple hours a week. A $250 wheel is perfect for those racers. If your serious about SIM racing get Fanatec and a cockpit etc., if you're not get a Logitech, clamp it on your desk and have just as much fun. You'll also have money leftover for some other gaming accessory.

Does anybody how to enable the wheel lights, I have had my g923 for over 4 months now and I can't find a way to turn them on, I have even tried fanaleds but it does not show up in the hardware tab. If you know how please help me I really want to play f1 2019 with the rev lights on.

@@bnielsen7000 Sorry, came off a little harsh there, so many people trash Logitech and Thrustmaster without ever trying them. Do you have a CSL DD? I really want one. I want DD, I want interchangeable wheels, I want load cell pedals and I really want a GOOD cockpit. I just don't race enough to justify the cost. I probably only race 3 or 4 hours a week. I'm having a problem justifying what I spent on a USB handbrake.

@@mpholicx2 thing is , I am Logitech user. I spent 350 euros on g920 . And it constantly loses calibration during racing. Starts randomly calibrating during racing. Returned that crap several times to logitech for replacement, guess what : same thing on every f**ing single one of them. G25 - G27 series are decent wheels , but G29 series are unreliable pieces of crap

@@lawree374 that would definitely sour me on Logitech too. My experience (G920) has been the exact opposite. I haven't had any problems connected to my PC or Xbox.
