It was just two minutes....for her BGT slot, and she filled her two minutes with perfection, as you say. This is her kiss on the cover of her idol, Loren Allred, who adapted the recent, Hawaiian tune. Only when Loren contacted her with a video msg endorsing her use of her song did Sydnie agree to use her idol's tune; twas suggested by BGT themselves after she won her semi-final, and had 3 days to prepare for this. Loren calls it "our song", now. The differences are here and there, like the straight note on the delicate "me" early on while Loren does a bit more than that. The music video of this song is better again than this rendition: Sydnie is just starting, her full voice expanding yet more.... You're spot on, she is limitless. Sydnie's new album has a whole mixture of songs and moods, finishing with songs also of the triumph of her Christian faith after all the years of struggles, in the subtle, English style that is hers. I am not sure if you know that Sydnie’s album was released earlier this month.Prior to the release she released a single from the album- Starlight Express. Sydnie was in that production for 3 years in Germany. This song is very beautiful and I think you will like it. Also, Sydnie goes on tour in the UK after the first of the year. I’ve also read that Sydnie will be headed to Hollywood to sing in a birthday gig for David Foster. I think Sydnie is headed for greatness.

I suspect her control comes from being a bit of an athlete. In a interview she mentioned she plays rugby!!!! and was thinking of becoming a gym instructor. Combined with 4 seasons of Starlite express in Germany where she roller skated, I think she has the strength and timing to support her voice. I think she has a cool name, a stars name. Oh, and whilst I remember, Tom Jones voice shocked people in the same way and I once saw a picture of him sunbathing by a pool, never realized he was ripped like a body builder. Thats why Im thinking you need the body to support a big voice and the control? What do you think?
@@DouniaRaphael to be honest, Ai think Sydnie was so sick when she sang her final, she was glad for it to be over. Of course, we as fans can’t seem to ever get enough of her voice. Do you believe she told her mum after that she was so off key she thought she blew the whole competition.
Apart from Eva Cassidy's version who sadly is no longer with us. I think you should definitely react to 20 year old Lucy Thomas' version of this song, she's from the UK. Many reactors seem to think she has the most beautiful female voice on the planet.
hi, i agree that both evas and Lucys performances were better due to the fact that they both sang it with far more empathy, this was to strident in my opinion, so lost the meaning of the song, but good non the less.

I don't think you understand vocal prowess and voice control, but merely expressing a personal preference of song arrangement. There is no comparison with best version by Eva and Sydnie, it's obvious to see. Sad that Eva Cassidy died so young, but incomparable to the innocent and tragic lives being lost in in Lebanon.
