The lack of Southern Hemisphere players in this squad shows how SA, Aus, NZ and Argentina are all very underrated and I think one of these teams will win the cup
@@lazy_explorer I wouldn't say it's bias it's going on current form as they said and Ireland and France are both ranked 1 and 2 in the world hard to argue there hard to argue with the autumn tests ether and the North just playing 6 nations. It will change again after the world Cup am frm the North and for years it's been full of southern hemisphere players and thts coz they have been better for manny years and u can't argue u with tht but right now for the 1st time ever I think the North is stronger but will it last I don't know. I think South Africa teams playing over here in the untied champions leauge and in the European Cup has also helped make the North stronger playing against the top South African players. I also think thts a good think coz it's gave fiji dura and moans pisific a great chance to improve . I can't get over how well Fijian drua are doing and the home support they have . Only the 2nd year running and they have arguably beaten the best rugby team in history in the crusaders at home. For me thts the rugby story of the year.
Perhaps but it's based on this year so far and Dan Sheehan is just on fire this year as is Marchand. Marx will be playing in the rugny championship soon so we will get a better idea then where his form for 2023 is.
What kind of world are we living in, where the 2 greatest rugby nations ever, are underrated. When South Africa and New Zealand meet in the final this year, maybe then they’ll actually realise what rugby is. Because apparently Europe needs to be reminded every year.
@@foxyboiiyt3332 Yes they can. If SA and NZ both top their groups, they can meet in the final. SA would play France in the quarters, and NZ play Ireland. Then based on the likely outcomes it would be SA vs Wales or Australia in the semis, and NZ against England again. Do you understand how the draw works
@@Irish780 I can’t wait for you to get your reminder. Ireland were very lucky to win the series against NZ, a red card in the second test in the cost NZ the win, and then in the third test Ireland should have gotten a red because they literally did the same thing. In the last 2 years of the six nations Ireland have played multiple teams who got red cards. In any case the 6 nations means nothing, because England, Italy, Wales and Scotland are all terrible. A ridiculous amount of injuries cost South Africa last year against Ireland and France (not to mention poor officiating), but nobody seems to acknowledge that. Get ready for your lesson in rugby my friend.
Nice! ABs are coming into this RWC as VERY UNDERESTIMATED....at least our best AB is on the list....not even a sniff in da Backline 😊😊 .... their not going to believe the STORM that's going to hit RWC2023.
@@Irish780 Did he though? He gets an armchair ride behind that pack and hardly every gets any try assists or tries. I know that's not necessarily his game but surely your ten should offer some attacking threat and not just kick penalties or kick from hand etc. He offers almost no running threat. I think if Sexton plays for any other side he isn't even in the conversation. It's just because he plays for the best side in the world. Russell or Ntamack would improve Irelands backline and offer a much greater running threat.
Fact of the matter is nz is happy ro be underdogs this world cup, pressure is off they have a fantastic squad , i didnt rate them a chance of winning last year , but this year there serious contenters .
James Ryan... I mean sorry but ffs lads also picking a lad that's injured and not played regardless I don't get because if you are going to do that how do you leave out Furlong who is by a country mile the best front rower in the world for how many years?
if any of us on here were to choose our World XVs there would be some form of bias. So I personally take these with a pinch of salt & see it for what it is....just 2 rugby guys talking. I'm a South African but these guys talking down the ABs is going to look silly come RWC playoff stage.
Great team. You could easily name an entirely different XV and it would also be superb just because there is so much talent out there at the moment. Nobody asked but my team would have been: Baille, Sheehan, Malherbe, Etzebeth, Ryan, Ollivon, Van de Flier, Savea, Dupont, Russell, Penaud, Esterhuizen, Ioane, Capuozzo, Ramos.
I'd go, for the backs at least: Dupont, Mo'unga, Kolbe, Ringrose, Ioane, Zammit, Beauden. Three play-makers and they all have the gas to absolutely annihilate anyone.
@@MACCA0405 he's unbelievable. The problem with this is they don't want to put too many Irish players in for some reason. If that Irish team was called the All Blacks they'd all be creaming themselves
You blokes need to watch more super rugby pacific. There's players in nz that you've never heard of that would really test the lot you've said. The talent is in nz but it's not organized on field at international level when it comes time to perform. Individual talent is very high though
So many difficult choices across every position... And then there's the number 9 shirt. 🤣 Man, Dupont really is something else. Also, the sheer number of French player in that top XV is crazy! I don't disagree, but damn. These guys are good, at the moment.
It's based on current form January onwards they explained that and it's on their fun based team it's jot possible to pick a team of the year without criticism.
@@ciaranbrk if that was the case explain how Ireland destroyed France and won a GS yet there are only 2 in the pack? And leaving out JVDF is about as ridiculous as it gets.
@@DeMerdeEncule eh tell me who has beat Ireland in the past 2 years? you'll find that's a wee bit bigger than your window mate then tell me ANY team that can match that and come back and tell me, 🙄
Dan Sheehan & Tadhg Furlong are just too good to leave out. Porter has actually been better than Baille too. JVDF, Doris, Sexton, Ringrose & Keenan all in for sure. And if he didn’t get injured during the 6 nations I’d have Tadhg Beirne in the team. On form he is currently in the top 3 second rows in world rugby. Just pick the whole irish team sure why not! 😂
Doris not over du toit, Flament is not playing rugby on the level of Scott Barrett. Jordie not being your number 12 is crazy, he’s revolutionised the ABs ever since moving there. Am definitely not at 13, I would prefer fickou or ringrose over Am. Sheehan isn’t better than Marx
Malcolm Marx has been and still is the best hooker in World Rugby. He is a shoe in. Don't let the Sprigbok "Bomb Squad" setup fool you. He is the best, and has been, and continues to be.
Sexton wouldn't even be in the conversation for the best fly half if he played for any other team. It's just easy to look good behind Ireland's dominant pack. Sure he is a good kicking ten, but he has almost no creativity and rarely scores or assists tries. Ireland score the bulk of their tries through their forwards. Imagine how good Ireland could be if they had Russell or Ntamack at ten- players who can actually get a backline going and will score and assist tries. Instead of Sexton just kicking to the corner or doing the wraparound for the ten thousandth time in his career.
1. C Baile 2. M Marx 3. F Malherbe 4. Eben Etzebeth 5. T Flament 6. S Frizell 7. JVD 8. G Aldritt 9. A Smith 10. B Barrett 11. C Kolbe 12. L Ikitua 13. D Willmse 14. W Jordan 15. T Ramos 16. S Tuakeoi 17. S Kitsoff 18. A Alatoa 19. W Skelton 20 . PSTD 21 . A Savea 22. A DuPont 23 . R Ntamack
When Sam Simmonds was European player of the year You lot didnt even pick him in an England 15 , So why should the World Player of the year be in a World 15. Just shows how little you actually know . Yes you played the game at the highest level But sometimes, you can be too close to the coal face
Nonsense. He's the best 10 to have in an exciting World 15. Maybe if it's a boring grind-out-the-win-on-a-rainy-tuesday sort of team then Sexton takes the cake but that's not what this is. Behind that pack Finn is the better choice.
@@alasdairduncan3 he’s great if you don’t want to win a game or a trophy or if you don’t want any consistency of preformance. But he has some pretty offloads
