@@isuck6049 everyday that drake line is proven more true💀. "kendrick just opened his mouth, someone go hand him a grammy" meat ride out the whazzu just cause hes accepted as not corny while keeping it lyrical
@@_nobodyxi he's gonna shit on it as usual, I mean looking at his new music fridays and listening to him hate on burn when it's the only good song in vultures is hilarious considering his criticism was so wacky, talking about using youtube beats lmao, but then he head bopped after kanye rapped, I think he really just hates kanye now for sure, and there's no doubt about it, I don't mind though because "that's his opinion".
they're not music based at all and that is obvious from the terrible picks up until now. 2 kanye albums already, TLOP and LR are no where near top 100 oat. They've put the low end theory below NFR. Can't take these people seriously
I don't think it's disrespect it's just such a common and overused pick considering the amount of incredible jazz that gets overlooked when people make these kinds of lists
@@snailseyessurely there are dozens of others who deserve as much recognition (and likely won’t make this list anyhow) but it cannot be understated how not only important and influential ALS is to the world of music after it but it’s a perfectly composed and performed album, rich in detail and spiritual beauty. I’ve listened to a number of jazz records, by Coltrane and other artists, and I still consider myself a novice, but that album still has a profound and awesome sound that deserves endless praise. At least for me, as it’s been one of my top 5 favorite records ever for years.
@@ccjl9160 I really don't get how this fanbase specifically has so many MBDTF-haters. Billboard placed it at number 1 for the top 100 albums of the 2010s, Pitchfork at number 2 for their top 200 and Rolling Stones has it at number 17 for their greatest albums of all time list. This album is crititically acclaimed. If anything, you could say that Fantano is the exception to the rule. This makes me think that a lot of people in this community base at least some of their opinion on whatever he says.
No it isn’t. Two things can be true, Kanye made some of the greatest music ever created and is also now an unmedicated drug addicted bi polar contrarian edge lord. Don’t have to rewrite history.
Fantano the type of guy to go “amazing record, easily the greatest thing ever created, but I don’t think Kanye should make this list” when he sees the College Dropout
He's definitely going to say something like that when it comes up bc it's definitely coming up. I want to watch him try and justify how one of his 10s actually shouldn't be on this list bc it's Kanye and he has other placements on the list
@@thomasnelson5758he gave Late Registration a 9 and was annoyed it was in the top 100. I don’t think he has any shame when it comes to Kanye hating. He’ll probably just say “another Kanye album? He doesn’t deserve more than one placement”.
@@bigboris5774 Do you GENUINELY believe Kanye needs to be placed MULTIPLE TIMES on a list like this? There are so many artists who have had massive impacts on music across genres even in hip hop. I swear being a stan breaks brains or something.
@@sammomeni2820 Least pretentious jazz fan: "Oh he just doesn't UNDERSTAND jazz as much as I do, because my opinion is different"... Seriously jazz fans are fucking wankers sometimes.
@@sammomeni2820yh because he doesn't like the most boring spiritual jazz album 😂 Alice Coltrane spiritual jazzis more interesting than her husband it's not even close
Literally just /mu/core essentials with a few modern picks thrown in. Why do people feel the need to make these vacuous lists as if they’re contributing anything of value
@@Anon119 maybe this list would be passable if you replaced all the kanye except graduation with the most consensus metal picks. putting life of pablo anywhere near any of these others albums is ridiculous. these other albums are truly classic even if i don't care for all of them, but life of pablo is something i listened to once, wasn't impressed, and would never list to again. no cultural significance to that album whatsoever
IMO you guys didn't like The Life Of Pablo because that album isn't suitable for your taste, because you guys are metal listeners and that album is so far from a metal album. Me, as a person who listens to a lot of genres like edm, idm, rap, rock and metal, The Life Of Pablo is my Top 10 albums of all time.
@@Gumball_Watterson190 that's fine but if you think that album is top 100 all time when evaluating album quality not just personal enjoyment, you are underrating hundreds of other albums. i love carly rae's dedication but my enjoymeny of it doesn't blind me from the fact it's not top 100 all time. also, i'm not a metalhead but there are at least 100 metal albums better than the life of pablo. that album isn't top 100 rap, much less top 100 of anything besides top 100 kanye albums.
Funny how the Reddit list doesn't solve the problems the Apple Music list had, like, at all, almost seems like doing a top 100 of all music isn't a good idea hmmmm
It's a mass voted list coming from a very Fantano/RYM-core influenced audience. A better top 100 could be made, it just needs a person with enough critical sense and that has a level of depth and knowledge of each genre that is a beyond the usual top picks
