I bought one. Ive been riding for 50 years. This idea that this is a beginner bike with average power bemuses me. It has more power than is decent, as im sure is the case with many of its peer it handles beautifully. And why is a 750 cc machine described as little. Ive had everyting up to 1200 bandits. This is a perfect match for todays roads. Great review though. Thanks

It’s purely subjective, I’m used to riding a 105hp bike so feels a little less than I’m used to. Not knocking it at all has loads of grunt and usable power, I really love the bike. My message is more around if you’re intimidated by it, don’t be it’s got great electronics so you can ride it at all levels/modes. If I’ve said little anywhere I’m this review, sorry about that, it really isn’t little, but defo feels less mental and peaky than a four cylinder. Thanks for the comment mate, and hopefully you’ll stick around for more reviews!

Thanks for the review, very informative. No idea what your comment about the switchgear was about. When I test rode the bike, I thought it was really excellent, high quality and very tactile. The dash is also very, very good. Which, to me, means that the 'cockpit' is well up to scratch. There is cost cutting: levers, pedals, wiring connections. I also find the headlight and red frame/fork hideous - So, I ordered the grey one. But, it's amazing at the price, with, most importantly, a fabulous engine and very good handling.
@sweet-triple-UK
@sweet-triple-UK Год назад
To be honest Clive, on second thoughts your right, the dash is actually Uber high spec, I guess I just found the handlebars a bit thin, levers etc and the housing around the switches looked a bit cheap looking. Switches themselves fine and overall cockpit feel, decent with the tft. Switch out the word cockpit for handlebars/plastics.

@@DavidSmith-hn5gg Maybe they do for you but not for me. I think this is different per rider mate, I'm tall and fairly wide. I did have a good attempt at adjusting them and from a standard seating position for me I couldn't see much other than my elbows. I could however move my head over to the left or right and get a view, but I'd prefer them to just work wherever my head is.

the cb500f was top of my list for a new bike soon, but the more reviews i see for this 750, the more i want one lol, but it makes me laugh (just like another poster norman commented) that these bikes are described as 'begginer' or 'little'. ffs it accellerates 0-60 in 3.4s and goes on to 129mph. - i must be living in a different world. BTW tx for the review.

You really can’t go wrong with this awesome bike I loved it! I guess it’s all relative mate as I just jumped off the 675 that’s a bit pokeyer. You’re right it’s not a little bike it’s a proper middle weight and decently powerful! I would take that phrase out of the video if I could because a few have mentioned it 😂 I guess it’s because none of my videos are scripted. It’s me riding along just saying exactly what’s on my mind in that moment. My sentiment really was more trying to say if you are new to biking that this bike isn’t intimidating and the electronics keep it well behaved so don’t be put off by the 750cc engine capacity. Thanks for watching mate!

@@sweet-triple-UK haha i wasn't having a go coz i see the 'little' & 'beginner' phrase all over the place in many vids about most bikes less than a litre, and sometimes can't help thinking it's a kind of snobby thing, alluding that only 'big' bikes are 'proper' and 'grown up', but it doesn't really worry me, i have more to think about, like should i get a little cb500f or 750 hornet lol, GL

@@Bob-ts2tu No worries at all, I could tell you weren't having a pop. I've not tried the CB500 yet but I know that the 750 was soo much fun and has so much character, I imagine the 500 would be similar in terms of it's character and feel. My mate had the CB500F and loved it he had it for around a year or two then got a Z900 so maybe check out his channel Bike Revz and ask him about the CB500F. Thanks for the comment.

Having recently ridden them back to back, I would say the new Suzuki GSX 8S is a better bike than the Hornet. More torque, smoother engine, more comfort, more room and a quick shifter as standard. Ok, it's pricier and lacks LED indicators, but I much preferred it on the road. I also preferred the Suzuki's TFT display - clearer and less cluttered than the Hornet's. So, no, I don't think the Hornet will keep its crown for long!

Having seen a lot of reviews on this bike it seems there must be a deal with S&C exhausts as there are a lot of test bikes fitted with them. But why buy a budget bike for £7K and spend £900 extra on replacing a perfectly good NEW exhaust as the original sounds great....doooooh?
@sweet-triple-UK

You might have a point here. It kinda negates the “budget” advantage of this bike……it sounds so damn good though

I'm thinking that this bike would bring some good joy to someone. I guess that is what is important. Joy per cost is good it seems. I would have to ride one to compare how much joy it brings over the MT07.
@DavidSmith-hn5gg

If you’re comparing it to an MT07 the Hornet is a lot mor fun. Faster more torque…. Rider modes… TFT screen and sounds nicer.

Absolutely, it brought joy to me for sure. I’ve ridden the 2017 MT07 and they are similar. I’d probably go for the Honda. However I haven’t tried the new MT so will have a go and see. I’ll take the go pro.

@@DavidSmith-hn5gg I was comparing the joy of riding. The joy of riding my MT07 is just fine for me to the point of not trading it for the CB750. Like I said if the CB750 was the option at the time I bought my MT07 I would have opted for it. I jus love torque.
