In my opinion, the Little Mermaid season of Speedstorm was very much play-to-win, especially the limited events, and now this problem is getting worse with the Wreck-it Ralph season. If Gameloft has to make a change to the Golden Pass, they should do either one or the other, not both. I'd prefer if they just left the Golden Pass the way it was before; when you only had to pay once per season and could pay for it with tokens. Now, not only do you have to pay for it with shop money instead of tokes, but you have to do it twice a season. Not to mention, even though I do have some eShop cards right now, I want to use them to give all five of the Wreck-it Ralph racers professional upgrades and unlock Kermit and Miss Piggy when they become mid-season racers. Unless Gameloft undoes this controversial change, they're gonna have to change the game's name from Disney Speedstorm to Disney Greedstorm.
18:25 They didn't say more rewards, they said 100 tiers of rewards... they could still change the rewards so that it's the same overall. One must read between the lines.
reminds me of going to a car dealership, where they shift around the numbers with your downpayment/monthlypayment, etc, but the bottom line is still the same... it's like they think we're so dumb that we won't notice that they're just fudging numbers while bending us over
I don't think new players like me will earn more rewards just because they diminished the amount of xp needed to climb the tiers, and that they put the Golden Pass' rewards on the track of season tour for free due to the fact that we won't ever be able to complete all the nodes to obtain all the rewards. Take my case for example, I started this season and I didn't get the best rewards of the season including the reward of the last chapter 9 where there's 20 Ursula's shards among with other stuff. I haven't been able to get Stitch's shards with other things in one of the chapters, the Gaston shards with other stuff, the Hades, the steamboat Pete and the list just goes on man. By all means, now that they are going to break down the season into two parts and once the first one is gone you can't come back to try to complete it, we new players are even more screwed than ever. They ain't fool me with this boatload of crap! Additionally there will not be more reasons to play ranked cuz the ones that will be there will be merely the ones who pay to win cuz who will wanna be competing against people who have everything running at full throttle? Nobody! Tokens will no longer be able to purchase the best thing the game had ( Golden Pass ). So no reasons at all ! Just infinite headache !
When this game first came out I bought the game they gave us free content for doing it and it was up to us to pay for the passes or just use our credit so honestly this is a good way for new players to catch up I do dislike the golden pass change and you can’t get it by grinding the game but I am just happy for new content
I will log on when the season releases, but in past seasons i wouldnt even look at the main menu. As soon as the prompt came up on screen that a new season was out i would immediately buy it and start playing. This season i will look at every single reward the game is offering and think about if it is worth it. Even if i do end up paying, i will probably wait a couple weeks to see how many "ghost updates" occured, or things that were changed, that they just didnt bother to mention in the pit stops, such as the lvl 50 golden pass xp increase that happened this season.
Just gonna point out, each golden pass is 9.99, so if you buy both it's 19.98, so technically the bundle of both passes which is 19.99 costs MORE than buying each separately... So not only no discount, the bundle is more expensive...

Yeah this just seems like the beginning of the end for Speedstorm. They are trying to squeeze out as much money as possible now. I kinda regret giving them about $20 the other week now, wanting to give some support because I had gotten +100 hours out of the game, but this is just such a slap to the face.. (part of the reason was to have enough for golden pass and getting a few shards for my fav character Stitch) The tournaments/vault stuff is nice, cause I started out in F2P launch, so gives me an opportunity to get some of the stuff I lost out on. But I don't feel like paying for anything else in the game at this point. greedloft shot themselves in the foot
Urgh of course. I finally got into speedstorm once Ariel was included and boom, already Bad News for the next season. Like the current reward and store system doesn't already suck enough.
@@Mc_Nooget Impossible...absolutly impossible...i speak as a Day one EA player...after lilo and stich the game became worst and worst...for my the Little mermaid season is ben my last stroke for my...i stop play after the first week... mid season racher became impossible to ibtain and event impossible to compleat with or not the requirement for compleat the golas... is sad...im im heart proken becose im one of dos pepole have invest so muthc time like...one year...of money and time in dis game...and see dis game fall down like dis so fast is so depressing... i tink to have see a Mario Kart alternative but at dis point i prefare to play A full Buy to Play game like mario Kart instead of dis...whatever is trap for Wales...

(To be honest, I don't think Speedstorm was planning to do Tarzan anyway; not only is the Burroughs estate entitled to royalties if Tarzan makes any appearances in modern Disney media, but The Jungle Book has already provided a "Jungle Japes" track for Speedstorm.)
yes, but people didnt save for the vault pass so its fine, they would have had to pay more anyway. Plus its additional content so its expected to not be free
hey, Popper700 here, I agree, I have seen a few games in my life die because of this money hungry behavior. I think in my opinion this game should have been a purchasable
Vega Conflict went down that road and now in an effort to get people back, they let F2P players grind for the stuff they missed with out paying a cent. for the new stuff players can pay to get it or F2P players can grind for it as long as they don't damage your ships/fleet to badly. like i said though, you still never miss out. sorry for the TLDR, if you want more info on it i'll message you on Discord.
