My mounted orchids didn't do well after I moved house so those that didn't die were mostly transferred to pots. This one is going back on a mount but it may be the last one.

I just did the same thing but in reverse... took a tiny tiny Sophronitis cernua off of a mount and wired it into a tiny clay pot. No roots etc... Don't have much hope for it. I might draw a magic circle around it because maybe that will work? hahaha Good luck!

Aesthetically mounted of course. According to my book on Aerangis, some are naturally 'short lived' which doesn't help.

@@GrowingOrchidswithRoger That's what I was thinking about when you pulled it from the pot, short lived and not a great start to try again. I think it's one of those orchid types that work for some and absolutely not for others

I remember Ed had a great Aerangis mystacidii that bloomed well - I tried that one several times but they never did well for me.

I like Le the look of mounted orchids, but worry about keeping them hydrated. How often will you water that? Will you do it by spraying or soaking?

During the warmer weather, it will be watered every day unless the moss is still damp. I don't use a sprayer except for 'emergencies' when I just don't have time to water properly.
