just going to say, that they did NOT have any ring-rust tonight. They reminded me of when I first saw them in the Attitude Era. Odd team, but were great in the ring
you gotta understand the new age outlaws came back and won the tag team titles and when the dudley boyz came back but won a chance twice but only by disqualification then the headbangers come back but its a honor of them coming back for one night only but you'll never know they can get an chance to win the tag titles for smackdown
The Headbangers made their triumphant return to WWE since they became part of the most aggressive tag team combination in The Attitude Era right here on SmackDown - 8/30/2016
They had a pretty good match, there finisher looks amazing, and hell they are both older guys but wrestled like they were in there prime, I say keep them on! (Also if they stay, change there theme back to the AA one please)
And get valued higher than Raw, all you see is Charlotte, Bayley, Sasha and Dana Brooke. I know Paige is hurt AND suspended but where is Charlotte and Alicia Fox and why ain't Lana wrestling anymore? Dana does and she sucks.
They both deserve better than what they are getting honestly and that's part of the reason why Smackdown is better than Raw because even though they are less stacked they valure every single male and female superstar.
I was very impressed with their performance tonight. They can work circles around a lot of younger talent. Their tag team double team moves looked great.
I loved this team back then and when they came back, I was hoping they'd stay a while. They still wrestled like they were still back in the Attitude era with lots of energy. c:
Out of all the obscure tag teams in the New Generation era mid to late 90s, if you would of told me 16 years ago that the Headbangers would still be performing today I would've laughed at you.
They were very good in the ring and would be great backstage considering most of the smackdown team's are fairly new. Would not mind them sticking around at all!
I'm 22 years old and I was about four or five when I started watching WWE I was grateful enough time on millennial because I grew up in the attitude and I started watching these guys but when I was just for I thought they were just hilarious goofballs and really great wrestlers in my opinion
They didn't know how to hit anymore. They busted rhino and slater open accidentally. Rhino got pissed off and delivered the stiffest gore I've seen in a long time. It was great to see live though!
It works for both parties. They are past their prime but they can still preform so this way they get TV time for nostalgia for people that remember, it gives them a bigger than normal pay check, (I think they were active in the indie circuit), they job to the young talent to help get them over. The best thing a match can do is highlight your abilities. The best thing you can do in a match is make the other person look good so people will want to wrestle with you. To get over the crowd has to see you doing what you do good, its hard to showcase your talents if your opponents can't keep up. So the veterans get a last WWE run, (the big show), get one last good pay day, get exposure for a new younger audience and the young talent get a chance to shine and learn from them, and hopefully get over, (have the wwe universe like or hate them).
Description: "Find out if the Headbangers are back for good." I'm guessing that's more of an instruction to us, like the one they gave her? Because we didn't really find out here.
