Miz now is what years of hard work and being a student of your craft gets you. No one thought he’d be anything of substance when he came from reality TV. But years of work made him a premier attraction in the WWE. Also, he should get major props for his actual wrestling style which has helped him dodge major injury over a long career.

I’ve always hated him when I was younger but as a 30 year old I respect him for putting on a performance that’s supposed to make me hate him lol It’s the same way I feel about actors in villainous roles. You hate the character but then realize if the actor wasn’t as talented as they were then you’d never have that hate, disgust etc

He uses the fact he was so hated in the early days for his character and it works well. As Vince says, if you get cheered or booed the audience is invested in you. If your audience is silent, they don't care. He may not have a typical Vince guy look in terms of build, but he sure makes up for that in charisma

I really respect Miz and everything he has done in WWE. It's rare to have those opportunities in WWE just like with Ziggler and Kofi Kingston that survived in WWE (probably Theory is the next). For sure a future hall of famer here but we still need Miz for many more years to come!

The Miz is great as a heel, I think Aj’s opinion is valid and you can make a case for him being the best. I think the issue with comparison is that people compare him to a completely different character as a heel, he’s more realistic as a heel and more toned down for this generation, while others are meant to be ruthless take no prisoners.

I was actually gonna comment about that same thing. In any medium, the best villains are the ones who don't think they've done anything wrong. The over-the-top, "evil for evil's sake" types are great, too, but there's always room for the type were you can kind of see where they're coming from.

@@sarahl9671 then you probably didn't understand the character, I guess. Miz is one of the best things to happen to the IC tittle since the early 2000s. He made it mean something again. He's grown and developed more as a wrestler and a characters than anyone could have ever possibly imagined. The whole wannabe Reality TV star start he had was tough and I wasn't an early fan but he has come so far now, in ring, on the mic. All round great character.

He found his niche and worked hard at it. He figured out that there's more than one way to be great, but he's also improved the in-ring stuff as well, which keeps him around. If you can be one of those guys that Vince can count on when needed, you'll be as successful as you want to be. The Miz is certainly that, at this point. He'll do his best to make a feud interesting when it had no right to be.

Miz and Ziggler, two guys I always thought deserved more, but as the years go on the more I think they will without doubt end up being recognized in the Hall of Fame. I can't think of a match that either guys did poorly. Good, reliable workers. Miz's IC run will always be legendary.

The miz has it all. Accolades (2x wwe champ, MITB 2x) he’s a good seller, decent worker. Mic skills are proficient he knows how to draw heat which is testament to his conviction as a heel but he also has range. He’s the ideal superstar that can work any program with any celebrity. He has this vivacious personality, great utility man and “team player”. He’s done very well for himself. Starred in a few wwe produced movies, has his own reality tv show. He also has longevity he’s been part of the wwe family for at least 15 years now. However the Miz’s greatest accomplishment is his wife. Marsyie or however you spell her name is HOT! She trumps any other diva or female superstar. If I had the chance to be the wwe universal champion receive the highest salary from Vince and had the booking power to never lose my titles and stay ontop or have marysie as my wife for life. I’d choose the latter. 😅😅😂😂😂😅😂 She is FINEEEEEEEEEE! 😳😳😍🥰😘😜🤪🤩 I’m actually jealous. 😅😀😅😆😆

I have to agree. The Miz has not only grown incredibly as a wrestler, but he has grown as a character. As for the question about why he gets booed while people like Mysterio get cheered, the answer is simple. He has connected with the audience as a heel so effectively that it's almost natural now. If you go back to watch the promo with him, Cena, and Reigns, you will see an audience that's like, "We want to cheer him, but he's being a jerk!" That was one of his best promos ever, and I can see him being one of the top heels in all of pro wrestling for many years to come.

I would like to see TWO mic battles between Miz and MJF. One would be a contest between them freestyle with both of them having the same creative freedom that MJF currently enjoys to see who can let it fly the best and the other, one under the same constraints Miz has to create from having to use the script given. I think both ways would be awesome and I really think it would give us an insight to just how good MJF has the potential to become in the next 10 yrs of honing his craft. Just my .02

The Miz has earned every single inch... I've watched him since his first day and hated him, then hated him, then again hated him. Then I flipped when he became a dad.. He deserves it all and will be in the Hall of Fame o r day.. Which he 100% completely deserves.
