You guys are legends covering close to 20km of beach walking. I have never seen the beach walk so I found it fascinating. You would make great Kiwis with your adventurous spirit.

The cyclone did a lot of damage in the Hawkes Bay. Cyclones are rare in NZ

Hey guys loving the vids - how much did you plan before flying to nz on the whv? I’m landing later this week and basically haven’t planned anything other than a 2 week hostel stay 😅

We didn’t plan anything basically we booked 2 nights in a cheap hotel and organised ourselves when we arrived 😂😂 totally unprepared and didn’t do any research before coming so we learnt the hard way 😂😂 bought a car the 3rd day also which was very random but worked out in the end! Then we escaped Auckland as fast as possible and found some whoofing through Facebook within a few days off arriving! So basically working on a farm in return for accommodation and food sometimes

Keep your fluids up, and don't drink ice cold water while out in the heat, the body can't heat it up fast enough to be of benefit to you,I found that out the hard way when I moved to Perth,the heat here is unbearable at times.

not really in any danger with the tide, the tide comes up so slowly you can always find a higher place. the only danger with the tide is if you are out on the water for hours
