I did this when i started making trap. Everyone says that was bad. 7 years later Its a hype. Thats music and perhaps, it doesnt matter what you do. If it sounds good then its good
word bro. i was putting a jersey bounce on my hip hop and trap beats like 15 years ago and people called it a house drop. now look. its poppn off heavy. it bees like that sometimes!!
I use to do this years ago too... Layer with a snare, clap, stomp, a kick, a vocal, cymbals, etc. even reverse my 808s, snares, kicks, cymbals for various effects. I sometimes get caught in the wave of producing trendy versus what I actually like to produce which is what's not trendy
Hey man You know as a small beat producer whos heavy with drill this is type fiyaaa and it sound soooo DRILLAABLEE if yk what i mean like melody swap to drill real quick and back i think it would be CRAYY CRAYYYY!! Love the efforts man! Keep it up!
I feel like when tokold and DJ ess starting remixing drill vocals over hoodtrap beats, because they were similar tempos, the NY drill scene started to catch on and make hoodtrap drill beats for drill rappers to freestyle on and eventually make songs with.
jerk wasnt meant to be dark; producers like kashpaint and artists like xaviersobased and tenkay said that jerk is supposed to sound happy and make people feel the music and not supposed to be beats that "go hard"
Jay bro that beat is sick, it’s like old drum and bass from 2000 with the bpm set at 166 ish. Reminds me of all my white label vinyl. Hit me up bro. I bell my boy IC3 to drop some lyrics over it. 🎉🎉
Who pioneered. The mf who just started making beats and didnt no how to program drums and fell in love with the kick vibe, had the confidence and marketing mind to release it. Jerk reminds me of me starting of making beats hahahaha
love the video :). you should look into making some regalia beats. its a super underground genre that combines super orchestral uplifting melodies with trap drums and super distorted 808s.
Ain’t nun new everything just new to the new generation I heard so many producers do this. Shit still got slap too it tho. Good shit never get old 🤲🏾😮💨
Yo Jay, for the intro reverb I would recommend trying the Valhalla room, it has this vibe of reverb you want in the intro with the default preset so its hard to mess it up
I think this beat isn't bad on itself, but it sounds as if it is permanently stuck in the intro and you're waiting for the drop which never comes. Still good job!
