Thank you for the video. I have seen several videos saying that the Temple was in the city of David, not on the Temple Mount. What ddo you think about this?
@@onejohn2.26 The Temple Mount was not part of David's Jerusalem. Solomon did expand Jerusalem to include the Temple Mount. You can see the ruins of Solomon's expansion along the current city wall near the Dung Gate.
@@MFPhoto1 I'm saying, that the videos I watched, said, that the Temple was never on the mount, it was in the City of David, and they gave very convincing evidence.
Jews can’t be IsRælites for EL is Ugarit acknowledged even by Jews who at the same time reject to related to Ugar which unlike Jews who are a Mediterranean culture Ugar a Sian-Scythian group which as such is MeSianic by default. Which is why Jews doesn’t understand the meaning of names and identities since like Árpád,Béla,Géza,OrBan,Bán,Ábra,Ábrám,ÉL,ÉLjön…have a meaning in our language which like the name Dávid having the root word Dove 🕊 it reconfirms this in our language to GaL name since we call it GaLAmb with same root name GaL like GaLilee,GALicia,GALatea ….
Every time I hear about the Palestinians accusing the Israelis of trying to "Judaize" Jerusalem it makes me laugh and also wince. Watching a video such as this simply and expertly emphasizes the fact that Jerusalem is THE city for the Jewish people, in Israel and around the world. Wonderful work, Oren.
There is no place on earth like Jerusalem. Taking the tour through the Kotel is amazing. I teach history and I am very impressed with all your knowledge.
@@generaljg4373 // That can not be true because there is no such a thing as palestine! However, if you mean Israel is a state surrounded by Savages, that is profoundly true.
Thanks for your tour to the City of David. My daughter took me to Israel (a Christmas gift to her Pastor dad) in 2019. My heart was especially stirred by our short visit to the city of David. I really appreciate your thorough descriptions and love your sense of humour.
I’m sorry for the circumstances that led me to you but I am ever grateful for your channel. Fair summaries of thousands of years are hard to find. Well done! I’m hooked!!! For those who will never be able to travel there, and hope it will always be there, you are a great blessing!
Just thinking about what you mentioned about young men learning to read. Fascinating information that may show why Jews have been able to prosper while others struggle (education). So much to learn and think about!
Shalom Achi Oren. Love all your videos they're very educational and very cool I'm glad tourism is back and it's open again in Israel. Be-virkat Elohim Israel!
the city of David is definitely one of my favourite places to go to over an over especially on a hot summers day. The Jewish history is so old and detailed it definitely worth learning it properly otherwise u couldn't understand what is going on today. Its always fun watching your videos and would love more Jewish content
Thank you very much. Very interesting tour. The city of beloved King David. G-D blessed me to go to Israel in 1980 with my bible college classmates. It was a trip that I will never forget and i look forward to returning. Watching your video stirred my heart to return to Israel again.
This is a wonderful video. Thank you so much for the history behind this site. I, too, appreciate your humor. Your information makes so much richer my Bible study.
Oren thank you for the wonderful videos. I'm always learning from your videos and also entertained. You're doing a great service to the world providing these videos and I hope you realize how wonderful the work you do. I watched many of your videos and I continue to watch new ones as I'm always fascinating by what insight you have to present. thank you for also being you and stating what you believe to be the situation as it is and not sugar coating anything.... thank you for also thrown in some jokes. keep up the great work. thank you for your app I purchased it a few days ago and it's a beautiful creation
We have seen Oren's outstanding work and he is only getting better . Time for us all to go buy him a KoFi in appreciation for how he has shared and improved our understanding of this eternal city.
Brilliant again! Really enjoy your unflinching honesty that comes over in a humours way. I hope to visit some day, but until then I’ll enjoy more of your tours from my armchair.
Great video, my friend! Love it! Thanks for building such an informative script, chocked full of Biblical history. When I was in Jerusalem, standing atop the observation deck above David’s palace packed a sudden and unexpected emotional punch for me. Looking down the hill into the Kidron Valley, it hit me that I was standing in the exact same place David stood when he saw Bathsheba…
Your humour never ceases to amaze me. Also, it is very nice that you are reading verses in Hebrew. One of my favourite verses is Jeremiah 33:3, and I hope to be able to memorise it in Hebrew one day, along with other few verses from the Bible. As always, thank you for making these wonderful videos. Shalom!
The older I get, the more I recognize the importance of history for the understanding of our life today......in the world and for my personal life. I sometimes discuss with people on RU-vid about Israel , the ignorance of history knowledge people have , is terrible.
Once again, many thanks Oren. I always enjoy your comments which go above and beyond historical facts (though you certainly cover history well too!!). I have visited the City of David, walked Hezekiah's tunnel and walked the drainage channel from the pool up into the Old City. But you always add so very much. Thank you for your efforts. Looking forward to the follow-up videos on the water system and the pool!!
I've visited Ir Dovid twice, but not during my last two trips. They have discovered so much since my last visit, it is as if I never really visited at all. I must take their tour the next visit. I've been following events on the City of David RU-vid channel. I also want to revisit the tomb of Shmuel/Samuel. I understand they made some recent discoveries there as well. You didn't mention that across the street and right under the Old City walls there are the ruins from Solomon's expansion.
NEGEV TRAILS,, SHALOM OREN,, GREAT VIDEO!!!! GOOD NIGHT ,, I LIKE THE AREA OF THE CITY OF DAVID GOING FROM THE WESTERN WALL THREW THE DUNG GATE AND DOWN THE STREET THE HISTORY ALL HAPPENS .. I DO LIKE THE WATER WAY ITS FUN GOING THREW ,, I GLAD YOU ARE GOING TO MAKE A VIDEO ON THIS AREA!!! TODAH!!!! RABA LEHA.. LAYLA TOV..!!!!
The Reform Women at the Wall usually come into the Orthodox women's section during Rosh Chodesh (New Moon festival). They come not just to read the New Moon portion in the Book of Numbers (as the men are commanded), but they put on Tallit and Tefillin. So when the New Moon comes along, like clockwork Orthodox women will come in droves protecting their prayer site.
Great videos like always 🥰 Any tour companies that you would recommend for a half day tour of Jerusalem? Planning on staying in Jerusalem a few nights.
I am a subscriber, the camera seemed a little wonky in the earlier part of the tour. Perhaps due to low light levels? When in King David's castle area. Just wanted to mention. It was a great video.
