Great video! When I was in Jerusalem at the time, I ate and drank deliciously there and relieved myself wonderfully! So I'm glad I was able to leave something of myself there. I'm Dutch and one of the slang words for urine is 'pies' and that sounds like peace or piece... Btw: the essence of the Christian faith is 1 Corinthians 15:1-4
hey mate if i travel to tel aviz friday mid day by wizz air and leaving sunday night, do you think its good i stay in jerusalem friday and saturday i stay in tel aviz? or better opsite?
I came here from your recent personal video at Tel Gezer. One thing that strikes me about ancient history is realizing that even though our modern lives seem different, the people of old laughed, cried, and needed to eat, sleep, and relieve themselves just like we do. I can tell from the practical, educational, and humorous details throughout this video that you are a quality tour guide, Oren. The city of Jerusalem (especially the Old City) is a place dear to my heart, but I had not heard about or seen the public toilet in the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, so thanks for this tour. I appreciate how you say that peace will not come by dramatic actions of rulers or wars or government edicts, but simply by people meeting each other in the midst of basic life. We all need hope for peace, now more than ever.
Ive only found your channel after 10/7. Your beautiful videos will be the closest i ever get to Jerusalem. Thank you for the respect you show to everyone.
Came from your latest video this really does deserve more views. Must say you’re the first creator youtube unsubscribed me from without my knowledge. Also nice tune starting from minute one of the video.
Mee too: unwillingly unsubscribed, fixed now. The great music at the beginning is from the live musicians at the end. Also the featured harpist is very good.
Another awesome video providing me with the authentic Israeli tours and information. Thank you for taking the time to make these videos. It is always a pleasure to watch and learn from you.
What a wonderful possibility: peace spriging from the one place in Jerusalem that every human being can visit, regardless of religious affiliation. United by bodily functions.
Love the thought that we, the people if the world all have the same need for a toilet... and indeed food, a place to rest and air to breath. As we are all equal in these things, may we all be equal in all things. Everyone is important and no one is more than important than the next person. ❤
I lived on a kibbutz for a year in 1983/84. Loved every second of my experience. I have been on dozens of tours led by catholics, evangelicals, armenians, jews, muslims, agnostics and atheists. I have watched the guides change emphasis of history to cater to the tour group. You Oren are the most fair, knowledgable, genuine, humurous guides i have come across. Anyone you guide through the city would benefit. I have been appreciating all your hard work. Well done! Shalom
I love these offbeat topics that are really more important than we realize! Perhaps one of Oren’s best, and perhaps for many, most essential videos when visiting Jerusalem! Jerusalem is so holy, that even these places seem holy!
A delight, Oren! By far the best tour of the many I have seen about Jerusalem. As much as I want to tour I see it would be mostly impossible for me since I can't do stairs. But more tours like this would be wonderful. This is the "real" Israel. Your exuberance and humor make the experience breathtaking and fun. Political videos are very informative and necessary but the tours to the nooks and cranny's are the best. As always, thank you for the trip. Now I want to hit a really good felafel (sp) joint!
On many, many occasions I have invoked the name of our Lord whilst in the bathroom.....a "moving" experience! Just a wonderful kick-ass video. Great information and great entertainment at the same time.....can't beat it!
@@Travelingisraelinfo Both states have abundant Cheese! Both of them have plenty of dairy & cheese factories, not only Wisconsin! Both states have a very nice Great Lakes coastline, and beautiful natural areas. I have friends both places, but I prefer northern Minnesota. 🐄🥛🧀🍦🌅
I love how you're always guaranteed to tell me something I would have never known otherwise and will never learn from any other video. You have this naughty look on your face as you introduce 'Toilets Of Jerusalem' as a theme. A great start!
Thanks Oren You always find good in everything and we have to work for peace! On a lighter note I have to say that all this bathroom data leaves me flushed with joy!! Blesdings to you and your family! jim
I totally cannot believe that. As far as l remember it was me who suggested Oren to make a video about the toilets in Jerusalem and... here it is.😁👍Blessings from Germany 🤗❤️🇩🇪❤️
@@Travelingisraelinfo it was my comment to your video "10 things travellers DON'T like about Israel 🇮🇱 (and what to do about them)" 😊 l feel proud l contributed to the channel 🤗👍😁 ❤️
@@idaselinahobbs9031 - This is totally important. 1. Water: Here in Germany I gave some American travellers some juice, because they had no water any more and underestimated the heat here in east Germany in the summer. We have here no wells or some public drinking-water sources. Here in my tiny village we have a shop where you can buy beverage, but not at the weekend. 2. Toilet: You can go in the wide areas of the woods or the grassland here on the natural toilet, but if you are in the city, then this could be a real problem. In the city here, there are no public toilets, so you have to go into the Hotel/Restaurant, even if you do not have a room there and do not eat there. There is no other possibility.
I expected to have a good laugh at the subject knowing your excellent dry humor, but it actually ended on a profound note of hope. All I can add is a polite reminder to flush when done.😉
As someone with an overactive bladder, I have to find the bathroom everywhere I go so if I were traveling there, I'd certainly want to see your video! Well done for those needing to know. I wish more people would actually do videos like this. I'm so sorry Oren that a war has begun. I hope you don't get called up on the reserves. I'm sure you will go if need be but I certainly don't want you going, we want you safe. Praying you, your family and all extended friends and family remain safe. It looks horrendous already over there. My heart just breaks for all who already who have died/been hurt. I pray this ends as soon as possible and that peace returns to Israel. It's been a while since I've seen a video as I think I watched them all. Time to catch up.
You are brilliant-what a fun idea to do a toilet tour but full of info as well and humour.Well done.Bless you in all the other work you do putting together informative and fun videos.
So funny to see that most important toilet. I was in Jerusalem 2 months ago and I used this toilet. Now I see it's so significant. You are completely right about Jerusalem. There is literally something to be told EVERYWHERE in the city!
I recently found your channel! I appreciate your tours, your dry sense of humor and that you use music as a compliment! Loved the grocery store tour and this one! Thank you for doing something fresh and different!
This was an extraordinaire clip especially the one where all religious quarters of the old city meet. I went to Israel as a teenager for the first time in 1968 and of course visited the old city and walked through it to get to the Wailing Wall. In doing so, I remember to this day, the horrible stench of public latrines that were previously ran by the Jordanians. As an aside, walking down the steps in the old city, I encountered big chunks of meat on the steps. As one can imagine they were millions of flies over them. I went to Israel the first time as I said in 68 then subsequently in 69 70, 71 and 72. The horribly smelling latrines were gone. Every streets in the old city were spotlessly clean. I can’t imagine the Palestinians dreaming of their old backward ways. Keep on producing these incredible videos.
Oren you are the best! Your videos are so informative, well done and I enjoy your humor and sarcasm! The bathrooms is the funniest but interesting to know when visiting! God bless Israel!
I love the idea that toilets in the marketplace are the hope for peace in Jerusalem. G+d does have a sense of humor. 🤣 Thank you for an interesting video.
A totally unique topic and perspective! Also, very useful for us older visitors who can't go too long between stops. LOL! One type of toilet you forgot: The ones at the old bus stations where you had to pay a few agorot for a couple of squares of toilet paper! Thank goodness we've advanced beyond those days!
Your best content! The tour we didn't know we needed but the tour we all love, especially the tourists coming from Wisconsin. All kidding aside, excellent content. Something no other tour guide has made known to us...
@@Travelingisraelinfo Hi, Oren! I’m going to share this video with a guy I know who is volunteering as a medic in Ukraine. When he travels and visits new places, he loves to show us the toilet and give it a rating. If you are interested in checking him out, his name is Brandon Mitchell and he has a RU-vid channel. He was born in Canada but has lived on six different continents, so his accent might sound a little bit Irish, according to some people. He’s a very honest guy, but a bit unfiltered sometimes. He believes he should tell the truth, because the truth will set you free! I really appreciate him putting his life on the line to save the lives of others! The only thing about this video is you really only showed us one physical toilet, in the King David Hotel- even though you walked into or through other bathrooms. So that’s got me wondering, does the men’s bathroom only have sinks and urinals in some places, and no actual toilet where you could sit?🤔I was wondering if any of the bathrooms in Jerusalem have the kind of hole in the floor Asian style toilets, where people squat? I’m just curious! 🤷🏻♀️ But thanks for doing this video, and I especially appreciate the commentary you share along the way! 💙🙏🏽💙🖖🏼🇮🇱💪🏽🕊🪔
When traveling or just going out visiting friends, shopping or to a restaurant it is most important to know where the toilets are and of course you thank God ! Love from México.
Thank you bro that was awesome I loved it it was from an angle I've never ever saw Jerusalem from it was quite awesome thank you very much and remember we love you here in America take care God bless Mark out
There are a lot of things we do that have no bracha (prayer), for example giving charity. Perhaps the prayer about bathroom (and not relations) is because we take for granted the bathroom and we cannot live without it (try sitting in traffic after drinking a bottle of water). It is a thanks that we function well :)
My father, an engineer, is saying - without sewer there is no civilization. And he is right. But I almost died in Jerusalem at 3 a.m. the line in Holy Sepulcre was crazy. Other’s closed. Got bless car parking in 20 min walk. Longest hour in my life. They are closed at night. Amazing video))))
Loved your hopeful final comment more than anything. I too thank God about all holes not being all opened or all closed THG! Also, U HAVE A KNACK FOR VIDEOS…..CONGRATS GREAT OREN!!!
Thanks Oren for creating this video. I like your informative, respectful and humorous approach. Perhaps you could create a part 2 with more hidden toilet locations and point out the interesting tourist sites in the surroundings.
I don’t know how I came across a video of a toilet tour but I am pleasantly surprised how interesting it was. Oren is very knowledgeable and offers a tour with good sense of humour. Perhaps 😊 the toilet shall be the source of peace.
Thanks Oren, I like your sense of humor. PS at 14:33 is Shmuel, a RU-vidr making videos about running in Israel. Being an ex-South African, he also ran the famous Comrades ultra-marathon. Keep safe you guys! As a fellow RU-vidr, I really appreciate the HOURS and DAYS of creating a video such as this.
