Wow! Must say that’s an impressive bit of kit that! Been looking at getting an electric mower for my home! Love the way this folds up I didn’t know it did that! Thanks for the review!
We have 2 of these in our domestic fleet and I must say they are brill! But I do agree with the bag hah! Why they made it flappy I don’t know makes it so much harder to get on!! Good vid mate! Content has been really good! Keep it up!
Hiya mate thanks for the comment! Yeah they are really really good! Love the weight!! Haha yeah the bag is a bit of a fiddle I must say can be annoying when cutting larger gardens! But overall I’m very happy with it! Thanks for the support as always!
Good vid chum! Been thinking of getting an ego for the house, but was a bit worried it wouldn’t be able to handle the longer stuff but after seeing that I think it would easily! Thanks again!
Honestly I find myself using this more than my Honda for smaller to medium gardens! It’s just such a good bit of kit for the price! From the use I’ve had with it I would strongly recommend it! Thanks for the support mate you also!
Hi Brad , I started part time gardening last year, hoping to do more and expand in 24 , berlingo van purchased and yeah also looking to upgrade my kit ! Like the look and price of this mower … definitely a possible purchase for me … great work mate Dave
Sorry I never saw this comment! I always try to reply but some comments get lost in my feed!!! That’s brill that you wanna expand! Yeah it’s a really good bit of kit well worth looking into! Thanks for the comment!
Hiya thanks for the comment!! Yes they really are good bits of kit! I’m overall very impressed with this mower! Yeah there are good options like I said in the video I’ve been lucky enough to try both the Honda and the hyater and all are good I just feel for the price you can’t beat the ego!
Hiya mate! Oh brill they are amazing! I love mine!!!! So I chose this one as I already have a 21inch commercial mower so was no need to get another 21inch, having said that I didn’t want something to small either. So the 19inch was the perfect fit for me!
Hiya mate! Thanks for the comment! So the battery time is dependent on conditions. But doing just my regulars all day it can do a day. But that’s just literally grazing over the top. This is not a commercial machine mate. I have my Honda hrd 536 for commercial use. This is a domestic machine.
@@dezub07 yeah if you’re looking at your first mower I’d recommend you get a petrol one! The electric range are brill don’t get me wrong I use my ego more then the Honda at this current time. But for my commercial property’s and bigger gardens you’ll need the petrol!
Hi mate, really helpful review. Just want to pick your brain really if that’s ok, I’m starting up on my own next month and have been looking at the ego brand to start up with for strimmer and mower due to the storage ease as I only have a small van, Do you think they will be able to cope with numerous small/ med residential gardens daily? I’ll have a 5ah and a 4ah battery with an inverter in the van.
Thanks mate! Glad you found it helpful! For sure I can help mate! So I really like both the strimmer and the mower and I’m using both now on a daily. I love both of them, bundles of power and very good quality, but I’m on a split of 60% domestic 40% commercial split atm and I promise you they aren’t built for the commercial jobs mate! I always take my commercial mower with me in the van so I have the both. I only use my ego on my small gardens anything bigger and I’ll use the Honda. They deffo have their place in the van for sure. But if you’re starting off I’d strongly recommend you get the petrol tool first and build out form the petrol tools. Having said that you could deffo do small gardens all day with the ego mower and strimmer with the charger in the van. You just want really be able to take on the bigger contracts or gardens mate! But they are both really good and have spots in my van!
@@Grasscutplus thank you for the response and the feedback I’ll take that all on board when making my mind up, as I’m only looking at small domestic gardens to start off with but like you say I don’t want to turn anything down when I’m just starting out. Who knew that buying a mower would be so difficult 😂, Again thankyou for your response.
@@Hayes-GardenServices not a problem mate! I mean tbh I said the same thing when I stared out! That I’d only be doing small gardens. But trust me I’ve only been running my company 2 years now and if you get the correct advertisement and get the company name out there you will be amazed at how quickly jobs and people reach out! I’ve had my local council hit me up I’ve had all sorts so plan for the kinda work you wish to take on!
Hiya mate! So I’m actually really good friends with my local dealer and I got given an ex display unit that had been damaged and that they couldn’t sell so I got it for free!!! I think retail they go for like £50
I have the 21 inch in the pro range and both of your niggles don’t exist on it. The bag doesn’t have the flapping handle and there are numbers next to the lift handle so for anyone that wants to avoid the problems mentioned in this video get the 52cm version.
Thanks for the comment! I must say I have seen the new commercial line up and must say they look a lot better! But as this is my second mower to my Honda I’ll just stick with this! Thanks for the comment!
Hi mate. Thanks for the comment!! Ummm well I can do a day with just the 1 battery and the charger on board the van!! But if you didn’t have a charger then I’d say 2 and possible 3! But like i said in the vid ego claim you get 40 mins run time! But they hate the rain hah they clog like mad! And also eats into the battery! Also long grass hits the battery hard! I filmed a video today and that would give you a good inside into how long it would last! That video will be out Friday so make sure to give it a watch it will show you much better!
What amp do you have? I was thinking of using it for mainly weekly and fortnight cuts. But use my petrol for high lawns. Looking forward to your videos on Friday.
@@xfx09 huh! Interesting! Well I have nothing but good things to say about them!! Personally I get really good run time I’ve had 2 days out of the strimmer just doing residentials!
