There's nothing like the 60's body lines and design. They give the builder a chance to form a work of art, a real "cool guy" vibe that elevates fellow enthusiasts into shock and awe. A stellar assembly of artistry and engineering. One of my favorite builds thus far!
Agree....the upgrades to that car are super extensive but its all hidden from view. THat I like in a build, tough to pull off. Interior esp in blue is perfect
@@josephianfranklin They give just enough subtle contrast to please the eyes. Not a fan of rubber band tires but overall what a killer build! Id call this one a sleeper, Id never expect taht car to move like it does.
We have this on auto repeat since it dropped! Well done guys! Sean’s build is absolutely outstanding. So well executed on all aspects of the car and we have seen this car through the different transformations and we can say every time is keeps getting better and better. Then you think it’s as good as it gets and he then improves even further another component of the car. Well done Sean this 65 Chevelle is one for the books and our inspiration to date. Super inspiring being mostly garage built and having so much hands on with a build to this caliber. Awesome guys keep up the good work!!
I've never been a fan of the 65 Chevy Chevelle, however, I can change my mind really quick once I saw this one. Thank you! for the vid and display of an American muscle car. It was refreshing to watch this video.
Dig the 65...nicer grille chrome like analog gauges got a mean look to them. ANd fairly light. Only reason I chose a 67 over the 5 is I couldnt get any rubber under the 65 (rear)
Agreed - very well executed build, tasteful - keeping the good original design elements and blending with the modern. And yet all the different elements harmonize with each other. The front seats themselves are a great example. If you didn't know better, they look like they could have came that way from GM. That takes a lot of trial and error and labor - well done. Now I don't think anyone commented on an aspect of this particular video which makes this so mind blowing and attractive to me. Shawn you've really stepped it up in your own way much like those seats, I know I like it but just don't know why so much. Lots of time editing, more cameras, the cartoon "animation" while telling the sentimental story about his wife buying the car. (Lucky man) Camera capturing the footwork working the clutch. All this effort together pulling me in and appreciating the car that much more. It makes the viewer feel as close to being on that ride with you as possible. Thanks for the effort from you and all your support group. Really enjoy your work.
Two Shawn's and an absolutely Beauty of a Beast build. Love every single aspect of this build and the way he made an inner vision come to life. I'd never suspect 900hp if I saw this in a parking lot. Impeccably spotless. Kudos, man.
Takes me back to all the car shows, Super Chevy shows, and drag racing. I was adopted at 2 weeks old. I rode home in a tuxedo black 1965 Chevelle SS 327/4spd car. 😊
This has to be one of the best shoebox Chevelles on the planet. Frame drivetrain and upgrades complement this car including adding some blue into the paint. The reworked seats bolster that look extremely clean like the door panels. The retro rally’s tubbed on red walls with the Chevrolet retro covers and blower adorned by the orange and black. How cool is that! To choose between this and a Yenko 70 Chevelle SS is hard! That says everything about how I feel about this ride. ❤️
Love the low-key look. I can't be the only one who instantly thought of Up in Smoke when you said Dave's not here, lol. Different kinda fun smoke in this one.
Im a 1970 Chevelle guy myself , but holy crap , this is probably the nicest Chevelle Ive ever seen as far as a whole package. very tasteful. Beauty of a Chevy.
She looks like an absolute sweetie. It looks smooth and easy to drive. It's got a sweet sound. I love when you shoot these types of Chevys from the 60s. I think you said it best when you said I love it when a car is done right! I agree, this Chevelle was done right! Absolutely perfect. A gorgeous example of what a Classic Chevy should look like. Thank you sir! 👍
The car almost looks like its floating with that light blue on the black wheels. Awesome ride, interior color scheme is so tasteful and that super charger whine... what an amazing build.
My first two cars when I was 17 and then when I was 19 were 1967 Chevelle Malibu the second one was convertible. I've always had a spot in my heart for '65 Chevelles and '67 box Nova. This car is absolutely perfect. All the right upgrades and all the right original restorations with a supercharger that fits under the stock hood. What really made me laugh and I'm surprised Sean didn't mention it , is the original 327 V flags emblem on the front quarter panels. So perfect.
Wow that car is stud! Amazingly handsome build. The body lines and color is perfect, along with a killer stance. Such a stock looking sleeper. I agree with the supercharger sound and instant pavement ripping power. Truly, this is one of the nicest cars you’ve ever presented. Yeah… it’s bitchin’ bad to the bone!
Hi Shawn, exactly the way I want to do a 56 Crown Victoria with a Continental Kit with a Coyote. Kept the original design and look but this Chevelle looks great. I’m not brand loyal because that’s like going into a bar and not appreciating the beauty of all the women that are there. Great Video Awesome Build Roadster Shop Is Awesome Quality Design and Products Thanks Shawn 🙏
Ridden in one car similar to that. RIde begins in 3rd gear, have to roll into it cant floor it. Sensation of pulling that hard well over 100 is hair raising. Iwouldnt last a week with that power
That sucker is wicked badass , I love chevelle’s anyway myself but this joker is soooo sweet , the Kleenex holder was for all the mustang tears back in the day lol , 👍🏼
My god man! That is as perfect of build as I've ever seen wow! The choices are frickin perfect! The sounds the colors I don't know what to say other than holy $hIt. You have done one hell of a job thank you for sharing.
Shaun, i fully understand how a bad day can shift the way you see things. No judgement my guy. You drive as many cars as you have you will have close calls. As a car guy i will never razz someone over safety. That said, this car is on the top five favorites. I love subtle bodies and monster internals....so cool. 🔥
I’m pretty sure I met Shawn and his wife at the Pleasanton Good Guys event a few years ago. His Chevelle was bad ass THEN, but NOW it’s just ridiculously amazing! Thanks for sharing!👍🏻
That supercharger whine is intoxicating. Simple and classic on the outside with a mean motor and a roadster shop chassis. Doesn’t get better than this.
