ALL AROUND MTB It is a 360 camera mounted off the back that's why it gives that fish bowl look. He has done it on other rigs too. Pretty sweet!

Yep it’s the GoPro max that is $499.99. It’s so expensive. I have a GoPro and I put it on my traxxas rustler vxl. I also Take my GoPro on my scooter and my BMX bike🚲 🛴

Thanks Kev for making this video. This video introduced me to the Maxx and it was nothing that I have seen before. Even though I really like the X-Maxx, I knew I’d like this more. 4 months into having this truck, it’s purely fun and tough! Haven’t broken anything yet but for sure it’s tough and plenty of fun!

Just letting you know that when you put the wide maxx kit on, it will significantly weaken the plastic driveshafts since they become longer and allow for more undesirable flex. I have seen photos of people permanently twisting and even snapping their driveshafts in half under aggressive driving conditions, mainly with the self right system. Just wanted to give you a heads up and something to look for when you eventually do your wide maxx kit review!

What i really like about the maxx , is that you can put a Bluetooth connection to the controller and it reads the rpm and battery, too speed ( not very accurate) , the degrees if your rock crawling. Un like when I had a Emaxx it came with all the rpm sensors but its connections and wires. The vxl 4s is so advanced. My #1 basher is the Maxx , already cracked the rims from slamming/ bottoming after jumps .

Man I just picked one of these up...... it is a sick ass well built truck......Traxxas has come a long way in design..... I've been away from the hobby for a bit and just now getting back into it...... and huge difference compared to how they used to be made......

2 weekends ago a buddy of mine bought this for his FIRST rc vehicle.............. being part owner of a construction company sure has some benefits, lol! His step son wants a crawler now too. You guessed it, TRX-4 for his first rc vehicle! Jealousy is a terrible thing, although I'm glad they're getting awesome trucks to start instead of fixing issue starters.

Great bashing!!! I got a idea for a video I think u will be perfect to to show everyone. Id like to see a video of what u bring out with u on days out like this. Like how many batteries u take out with u and what kind of repair parts u bring. Basically what ur setup is like to bring on a bashing day. Maybe u already have a video like that and I missed it. I make these trucks 6s with the Traxxas 6s ESC, wideMAXX and steel axles, YOU MUST have steel belted tires 6s will blow them right off! Get about 85mph from mine. Plastic axles won’t last long with wideMAXX kit, try the auto roll over too that’s a cool feature.

Hey Kev. I found a driveshaft solution for your slash 4x4 and rustler 4x4. It is by Tekno rc and virtually all the reviews were 5 stars. I ordered some myself and you should try them. You can find them on amazon. The driveshafts are Tekno M6 Part numbers for tekno driveshafts: 6851x (front) Rear: 6852x

I've been looking forward to this video for ages 👍. The Maxx is one tough basher, exocaged rc recently released a video upgrading the plastic drive shafts over to steel ones. I believe it's the self righting function that twists and kills them 😥. Great video as always my man.

4S is enough on this Maxx Kevin of course you can put more if you want to explode it but personnaly this is not my goal in RC ;-) Before putting more S in there I suggest you to test it 4S on other surfaces like skatepark and so... To check the resistance of that truck stock/out of the box Thank you

Not sure if another commenter mentioned it, but have you tried out the Maxx’s self-righting feature. I’m not saying I...err...flip my Maxx too much and need it...but it’s cool. :-) BTW, my 13-year old son got an almost 72ft jump of a 12 inch skate ramp with my Maxx. :-) Thanks for the videos Kevin!

Hey brother 6s ESC will turn your Maxx into beast.... I did it this pass week with a VXL 6s out of a UDR because I wanted to keep the lights working on the Maxx. As you know there are better esc’s out there, plus I did a wide kit plus metal axels and hot racing hubs and steering blocks.... the truck is straight beast.

If you do the wide maxx kit you MUST put on the wide maxx steel drive shafts. The wide maxx kit stretches out the plastic drive shafts and since there so far out they are extremely weak in the center and they will twist up and break on you so fast. It happened to me. Also. I see you have the short steel shafts already. Traxxas sells the longer shafts on there own, so you’ll be able to use the metal drive cups you already have.

You can buy self adhesive glass fibre reinforced tape. Thats what we used in the 90s for our touring car shells.

If you upgrade to 6s or 8s you’re gonna need to upgrade the driveshafts to the steel ones. Since you’re putting a Widemaxx kit on it you’re gonna need the longer steel shafts. The plastic shafts didn’t last 10minutes on my 6s. Just a heads up. Also, I got rid of the plastic junk hexes and wheel adapters and installed Erevo 17mm hexes. I also am running Backflip Lp’s on it now. Trust me, it’s worth every penny.

Kev try the Revo tires on it before you get wide kit... Try it buddy might like it check out Rc Bru-C I have run footage and can see difference in performance. Plus always cool when you stop in.. Hope it helps buddy, PS shim the fan

I'm not sure if anyone else mentioned this. You mentioned having many other cars, and you use the same batteries for all of them. You cut off the factory Traxxas battery connector and voided your warranty, why not make a small pigtail to convert the connector, and then you can keep your Traxxas connector and warranty?

It is so much better with the wide maxx kit. Also go with the metal axles for the wide kit, aluminum hubs and wheel nuts with heavier shock oil. You will fall in LOVE.

kev just to let you know next time you go down sandhills don't move around the tarps and plastic cover they are there to stop loose dirt from flying if the jumps whilst they are being built

I bought the same truck about 4 weeks ago and I haven't broken it yet...very durable and fast. Also I've seen people trying the 6S thing and it basically is uncontrollable even with the wide max kit...So I will be content with 4S, it's fast enough as is. I long for an X-Maxx though...sigh

Sweet Kev , get the wide max kit before the steel shafts as there is 2 different types of steel shafts for it , one for wide maxx and one for standard maxx

Kev if you see this im just wanna share how i keep my bodies from craking and also keeping them look good. I use the same thin clear protective film that you have on tour lambo. I use it on my TRx4 and my UDR and it keeps the bodies as new👌🏼😁 cheers
