Yeah. The mesh is not great. I have to do a complete set-up. Gonna run on these motors and then switch them and the ESCs out for the bigger stuff.

Yeah. I guess only the big motor versions come with all the CNC’d aluminum suspension bits. Too bad those big motors don’t work… But actually, I think they his car will be plenty fast with the smaller motors installed. Will find out this weekend.

Yeah. It’s nice. Will do some speed runs with the installed motors and ESCs, and then with new ESCs and the big motors. Hopefully this weekend. Gotta lower the height and set the toe in and camber front and back.

I bought another gyro. Not sure I need one really as this car tends to go straight unless you punch the throttle.

Dual motors are a bit of gimmick, but they also half the load on the motors stopping overheating. I bought 2 rocket 120amp 6s ESCs, but then I read the reviews of them releasing the magic smoke. So I’ve bought 2 Hobbywing Max6 ESCs to install with the big motors. That should work, if there is enough space to mount them.

More space, then can ease onto the throttle and traction will be better.

I think Traxxas has their market and they max the price their market is willing to pay. I wonder how many new customers they get though, with their premium pricing. I only have 2 Traxxas rigs: the Maxx and a TRX4. I got both on sale.

Very tight out of the box. Lots of metal flakes in the chassis after that short driving session. I don’t really think that good spur gear is of great quality. Bought their larger black one to replace it.

I take it that you are in the US? I think the issues with service and parts (according to other overseas customers) is that they are a Chinese Company who are just getting started and their product line and appeal is behind their internal organization. For the first AK release we got it months after everyone in the UK and US did. They didn’t have it for sale at all. A fact I complained to the company directly about. For this release it seems the opposite is true. I’m sure it is coming in the West, but it will take some time. And obviously, the big dual motor version that mine was supposed to be is not really ready for the market in China or overseas. I’d wait and try talk to them again. I don’t think they are a very big team anywhere and maybe the company needs more staff and oversight of their Western operations.

The motors work. It’s the ESC’s. Not enough amps. I thought it was good of them to install and send 2 smaller motors free of charge since this version of the car, with the big motors isn’t even available internationally. I’ve bought 2 Surpass Hobby ESCs to try out, but I hear they are prone to releasing the magic smoke 💨 So I might get 2 Hobbywing Max 6 instead. Don’t want to burn the car after-all. With the installed motors, the car is already incredibly fast. Not sure the big ones are even necessary, but since I have them, I might as well run them.

The two motors that were supposed to be installed are the Rlarrlo F3670-BT 1850's. The stock ESCs are 120amp. They don't have enough power I figured out. Checked with Rlarrlo and they said I was right. So I bought 2 Rocket 160 amp ESCs, but I have learned they are nopt so great. So I've now got 2 Hobbywing Max 6 ESC's I'll install. They'll be good.

It does, but the width is still the same partner. All of the chassis are the same.
