@fredbetan9117 The side and back windows were Tinited 5% (Dark tint). The window you look out of (Windshield) is tinted 20%(Little bit lighter but still dark)
I get 20% all around with a 5% strip on the windshield - never had a full windshield tint but I've driven vehicles with full windshield tint (20%) and it was nice during the day. I wouldn't do it myself, though.
I like 70 on the windshield, 30s in the front, and 20s in the rear with a quality ceramic. I'm not a fan of reduced visibility on daily. That setup does look sick, though. .
From what I been researching I just need dark side windows (20%) and semi dark windshield (35%)to make it look like the front is the same tint as the side windows. Correct me if I’m wrong 😭 ceramic not carbon
I really really needed this video!!! I don't do much night driving, but when I had 5% I do recall to scared me, a lot. Thank you for reminding me I should only go as dark as 15%
Great Video Thank You, I am from South Florida i have a tint exemption which allows me to tint without restrictions. My car is 5% Nano Premium, Windshield is 15% nano. I upgrade the headlights to the brighties led i could find i still run high beam at night with fog lights, i have seen many times cops pull out when i pass they run my tag and soon they go around or turn back. As you said you cant see inside. I have had people people try to open my doors especially when parked in parking lots. I wait for people to try to open the door at that second i cracked the by window and my Geeman Shepherd 100lbs on guard and waiting alwaya does rhe trick. I also have the same setup on my older van i converted into a rv bed tc game system the works its amazing being able to pull into a walmart or where ever turn off the lights crawl into bed knowing pwople cant see in. Thats always a plus. And during the summer 100+ you can seriously tell a difference. I never feel rhe hest coming in which is great and jt helps the ac to work alot less.
that's a solid set up! 15% windshield is definitely darker than what most people would dare to get, but it has it's benefits. People are crazy these days, so privacy goes a long way!
Looks dope. I put 15% on my windshield not too long ago. I had it removed a few days later because the "silvering" effect of the dot matrix looked especially bad with the dark tint. Clarity wise, no problems during the day but driving at night in the mountains with no street lights (I live in Colorado) is a bit dark and some might have an issue. Did you learn to live with the dot matrix issue or do you have a fix for it?
@@carjockey2135 Most aftermarket market windshields have raised dot matrix. I just had my Volvo windshield replaced with factory glass and the dot matrix was not raised. It’s as if it’s painted into the glass. This makes for a proper tint job because the tint will lay flat against the glass.
I've enjoyed all of your tint vids and you helped me with the decision to tint my windshield. Currently, I have 20% all around and 50 on the windshield but want to darken the cabin without touching the sides. Would you suggest I get 40 on the windshield, 5 in my rear window, or both?
@@888shaunJust go 5% All Around & 35% Windshield. Run the same tint all around don’t bother mixing different shades of tint on the sides & back, It doesn’t look good at all imo.
To darken the cabin you need to do 20% on the windshield. Thats what i have and it turned my 20% sides into limo tint. But goddamn some of you dudes need to grow a pair!! Quit being a sweet little sissy, go as dark as you want on the windshield. It’s already illegal, so get what you want. Its no sense in taking a risk to only half ass it. Get 20%. Cops dont even notice that shit, youll be good.
35% tint is the happy medium-not too dark, not too light-and practical for both night and day driving. 20% is ... yeah, getting a bit dangerous. You'll be fine if you have good lighting. 15% and lower is a bit suicidal. I like 20%, all around 35% to 50% on the windshield.
People never consider the number and size of windows, along with the interior color. More windows = more light so it looks lighter. I have 20 with a 35 windshield on a sedan with an espresso color interior. It looks much darker than the white interior with the same setup.
yeah this is true, great points to consider. I've only had black interiors, but have worked on teslas with white interiors. it feels like the only way to get a blacked out look on those is to paint the windows lol
Me too! I got 20 on my windshield and im completely fine seeing at night. Dudes are such sissys when it comes to windshield tint, how have you been tho bro? Been pulled over yet? I personally have never been pulled over for it. Cops dont give a fuck in my area
My BACK WINDOW IS “LIGHT30” * because I can’t see at night . My sides is dark5 . , and I have a low sun strip on the front5 , 2 inches under the rearview mirror .❤
@@KyleClimaco Ok, is there any noticeable difference between the 20%, 25%, and 30%? It’s only 5% lesser, would I get the same results at 30% if I was to do 20% or 25%? Sweet spot for windshield is 30%?
@@justjojo1666 if you trust your ability to drive at night. do the 30%… I have 50% on my car now, and it’s only too light… until it’s dark out. trust me. unless you have bright headlights, you will struggle to see at night.
Will 15% on the windshield with 5% on the sides give that blacked out look even in direct sunlight? In other words should I go 5% or is 15% dark enough😂
I got 20% on my windshield, super dark! I went all the way cause if im paying for it, and its already illegal. Im getting exactly what i want. And ive never been messed with by cops for it. Honestly the 20% on the shield is too clean looking, i will never go back to a normal windshield ever again. And i dont drive at night either. So im totally good. Although if i really had to, i can drive at night it isnt as dark as all the sissys say it is. But yeah man, makes my civic look like a fighter jet. Limo all around with the 20% windshield is the cleanest look possible. You could do this setup on a prius and it would make the prius look more expensive 😂. Like i said 20 on the shield, ill never go back! Idc
Thanks bro for helping me decide which percentage tint I should get for my windshield. I currently have 5% all around with no tint on windshield. Trying to black the thing out lol.
What’s even the point of that tho? Other people are going to be able to see in your car like you don’t even have tint. You can still see very very easily with 15% all around and 50% on the windshield. You get even see pretty well with 5% all around and 35% on the windshield. I just don’t see a point in going that light
nah 50% is a little too light Imo. I have it now on my car… during the day (up close) it doesn’t even look tinted. to get the full aesthetic… 40% windshield. no darker than that.
@@TyGholston 35 is good. Direct sunlight youll see through it but otherwise its blacked out. Still barely any difference to me. I went 15% on the windshield which metered to 10%(idk how) and its really not too bad at night. Good headlights and youll be fine
Hello I'm French, in your home in the USA the police don't stop your vehicle? We in France if our father breaks and stains, the police impound our vehicle!
Yes here in the USA cops do pull you over for it, but it is rare. But if they do pull you over, they usually just give you a warning or a small fine to pay. Or they give a warning and ask you to remove it within 30 days. But no they dont impound your vehicle, that is ridiculous
Just be a man and tint the windshield 5 percent like mine I have a 2021 Corolla and the windshield is HUGE so that’s what I tinted it that dark cause the sun is brutal and my screen gets soo hot it’s crazy
Same here buddy! Never been pulled over either! I agree dudes are such sweet little sissys boys commenting like “should i do 35%??” Its like, its already illegal you Might as well pay for what you want. And then they end up hating it because 35 is super light. And they don’t realize how light it is. I went 5% on my windshield too, fuck all that 30 % bs
