20% is the sweet spot for still having an elegant luxury look. 5% has always looked way too private security to me. 20% blends good almost always

Honestly after experiencing with different tint levels 1. 35% front, 15% rear 2. 15s all around, 3. 5% back half, 15% front 2. I honestly think 15 or 20 all around is a good sweet spot. You don’t make yourself a cop magnet, and you still got that darkened look whiles staying classy. Plus day and night driving is good.

I would say 20% is safe. I recently went from 20 to 5 and immediately got pulled over the next day.

I roll with 5% back, 18% front two, and 35% windshield. I find that perfect for me and cops haven’t pulled me over yet 💪

I have 20% on my cars. Never been stopped and does a decent job of heat repels in the summer. 5% looks great on that white car but I think I would get stopped around here. Good luck in Texas!

All depends on the area. I have 5% around and 20% on the windshield. Got angry looks from cops at stop lights, etc , but no stops.. On a CLA 45 and i live in NW indiana.

I got 5% on my Crown Vic back in 2001, never got pulled over for tint till 2016. They said it was 3% VLT, and ticketed me to fix it. After pulling that off, I disliked driving it. Always had my hand up to block the sun, seemed I was always driving south in the morning, or north in the afternoon, and driving west the sun shown in most of the year. Then at night, I was always camping out in the left lane, just so no one could be to my left behind me. If someone was in the lane to the left for a ways behind me, I had to keep my hand up to block the mirror reflecting their headlights. I finally got 20% tint back in it. Makes it a lot better, but still not as good as I had it back with the 5%. Don't understand why 35% is the limit here, that's like almost like nothing at all. And that's in the desert of AZ.

I had 5% on my 2016 camaro for 5 years and never got pulled over. Lives in Oregon, Washington, and California during that time. CHP every pull me over I just roll them down. Though I usually cruise with my windows down anyway. Have a 2022 Hyundai Ioniq now and going to put 20% all around.

I have 5% all around on my 2020 rogue sport no problem driving or parking since my car has all around cameras including sky active and blind spot sensors and more , so having black tint didn't affect my driving at all made it more private.

First off, you're funny 😂! Loving your GT especially after seeing it with the 5% tints. Definitely gives it a more aggressive look! Recently purchased my all blacked out 2015 50th anniversary Premium Mustang GT and just put 18% on the sides. Back was already tinted. But definitely gonna get the front windshield done probably at 55%. My other Mustang GT is a 35th anniversary with 20%....never had any issues with getting pulled over for the tints in the 13yrs I've had it.

in our state you can’t pull someone over for tint so 5 is perfect for me because i have a backup cam

I dont tint front so I don't get looked at period .I hate giving them a reason and tint in front is a reason .plus can't see at night with 5% and I like using my mirrors and passing.

I have 5% all around and can say that during the day you can see great but at night if there are no street lights around its hard to see out the sides, I've been pulled over once and I just rolled all my windows down and cop just let me go after getting my license

My car has 2 layers of I believe 5% in the back and recently got 20% on the front windows in the day depending on the angle you can’t see inside even when you can you can’t make out details drove next to cops and have been fine but in texas cops are chill and don’t really care about tinted windows .

I think im gonna go 20% tint on my Subaru Blobeye STI.. I live in Norway and the cops here are kinda aggressive on that stuff just like the cops in the USA, at first I wanted 35% tint since I think it will be safe but then I saw its not enough and I think 20% will be just fine and give that look/function I need. Do not get 5% all the way around! You might as well close Your eyes and drive. I have Factory 35 % dealership tint on two front windows with legal stickers! Back windows and rear window have 5% limousine tint all around! Absolutely no tint or border strip on front windshield to allow Houston Sunshine to Bless! Having said that at night You can not see anything out of the rearview window! Roll down windows reversing after daylight hours.

5% is limo tint, hella dark to do your front windows. Everytime I see some with it, it draws more attention to your car. I got a ticket for just having 35% on the front. If you want to get pulled over go ahead and get it done. Ceramic is the way to go to block heat.

i just gotten 20 percent, the legal way is 70 percent in NY and i just decided do 20 they can still see me my body movement etc .. I might do 5 percent but for now i love my windows at 20 percent in my chevy malibu . Thanks for showing this !

I'm not concerned about getting pulled over. My main purpose for tinting is for heat reduction. Now that you're in Texas, does that ceramic tint really help?? I bought the 35% ceramic tint and used an IR thermometer to measure the difference , and they only showed a two to three degrees difference between without and with tint. Once the heat gets transferred through the film, then there's no difference. I haven't installed tint on my car yet, that's just me playing around with the films. I'm really curious if it actually made a difference for you for cabin temperature...

As long as you don't drive like an asshole cops usually don't care about tint in my experience. And yes this is with 5%. If they're pulling you over it's rarely solely because of tint, but they will add that for whatever else.
